The best farm to market restaurant in Dallas. Fresh food and service are excellent and cost is very reasonable. Also a fun place.
Excellent food! Excellent service! Everyone in our party was very pleased!!
I just have to say that Logan our server was the best. We were two families with four kids and Logan knew exactly how to approach the kids. I like when servers acknowledge the kids and ask them for their order. Great job and the food was delish as well!
Food was excellent as always. Music a bit loud...we were at a table for 2 and with the other noise of the restaurant we had to yell to talk to each other. Call me old but I am not up for bar loud at 1030am.
This was our second visit to Mudhen - one of my favorite things is the Mudhen Hay Maker Savignon Blanc!
This visit I made a bowl - Salmon, pureed carrots, crimini mushrooms & Mudhen slaw. What I like best about this place is that the food is well, pretty much clean.
Last time I had the BLTA (delish) & the Brussel sprout chips are TDF!
Great service and food.
Went with a bunch of friends to see bands on the patio. The service was terrible. The food was good. It came out before we had beverages. The management was apologetic; but, never got service on track. We had to go find a someone every time we needed something.
I would go back for another chance. However, I will not be inviting others before I find this was a rare blunder.
We love Mudhen! The wait staff is so knowledgeable and friendly. Suki is an awesome chef. We love the creativity in the menu and that, even with food allergies, anything can be modified and it doesn’t affect the dish! They are super accommodating! ❤️
Great spot, healthy fare, but doesn’t sacrifice great taste.
The food was so good and I loved all the healthy choices on the menu! Highly recommend this place!!!
Wonderful! Staff are amazing and really made me feel loved on my birthday.
Great local food!
This place is a gem. Awesome Wine List (try Haymaker) - and they have lots of yummy options for both the carnivore and the herbivore alike - Killer Food That Doesn't Kill You - it's the perfect motto for them!
Loved the food, service and location.
Carrot cake was delicious!
Food is perfection, but the service was subpar.
Father’s Day: the restaurant has a great menu but we’re out of several items by 1:15 that day which was the time of the reservation. The main issue was the horrible service. It took almost an hour to get our food. Meanwhile, the waitress was virtually non existent and did not seem to be very knowledgeable about the menu items when we were ordering. When the food finally arrived it was all pretty good except one item which was a salad with grilled chicken, which was virtually pink almost raw inside. We brought this to the attention of the waitress which could care less so I asked for the manager which took the salad off the bill but was equally unsympathetic about the ridiculous wait and raw chicken.
The food was absolutely Amazing! And the crafted drinks as well. Madison is a hidden gem for this place. From the time we walked through the door to the time she seated us it was nothing short of Excellence! The level of customer service here is great.
I had the stuffed avocado and it was fantastic. My brunch partner had the power bowl. It was good too. The atmosphere was just what I expected at the farmer's market. We did not try any of the cocktails but the table next to us did and they looked very big and delicious. Oh, and save room for carrot cake - yummy.
We had lunch before going to the Fair Park Theater - (lion King) and it was close and easy to get in and out of the Father's Day traffic.
We went for Father’s Day and the service was fantastic! The brunch menu has a great variety. The $8 mimosas were fantastic and a great value. I love this restaurant and I know every time I come the meal is always fresh!
Always love our visits to Mudhen! The fresh veggies and healthy preparations leave you feeling spoiled but not guilty. Try the mashed sweet potatoes. They are incredible.
Delicious breakfast! I have been to Mudhen often for lunch and dinner, but never for breakfast. I will be going there more often though for yummy bfast treats!
Great food and love the outdoor seating!
Very Impressed! Visited last night before a show at the Majestic. Had the Reuben ... excellent sandwich and the sweet potato chips were AWESOME! Thanks to Neil, our server, for exceptional service and a great experience at Mudhen ... We will be back!
Salmon was not fully cooked but once I mentioned it to the waitstaff, she took my dish back and had it prepared correctly. Very cute restaurant.
Great food and atmosphere! Not too loud, access to dallas farmers market is convenient and truly compliments the vibe. Great for relaxing Sunday brunch!
Our visit was ok. However, the service was poor. At times, the temperature was warm and uncomfortable.
Delicious, beautiful food, as always, exceptional service and fun atmosphere. I had the stuffed avocado which is an avocado generously topped with curried chicken, nice big portion. My friend had the egg white frittata with delish grainy bread from Empire Baking Co.
Such a cool farm to table place. Great black iced tea.
We walked out and bought fresh vegetables at the Farmers Market.
Food was good, server was terrible. Grumpy, dismissive, slow and uneducated. I told her I had a dairy allergy and she said I couldn’t eat cheese, then I asked about butter and she was confused why I couldn’t have butter.
We had never eaten at Mudhen so we had a reservation for Wednesday night at 6:30, but clearly didn't need one as the restaurant was empty when we arrived at 6:15. This wasn't a bad thing as it's easier to have conversation in a quiet restaurant. I had the Mushroom Bolognese Pasta (vegan) and my friend had Gulf Shrimp & Avocado Chop. We both thoroughly enjoyed our meals. I would recommend this restaurant for anyone looking for a place to eat before an Arts District event as the proximity of the restaurant to the Arts District is only about a mile, and we were able to get in/out in a reasonable amount of time before our Winspear event.
The food was great, that is, what was still left!!! They were out of almost 7 things on the menu for Mother's Day Brunch by 3:00 PM.
The food was good, the service was fair to poor. Had to remind server of drinks, waited almost 20 minutes for iced tea.
The atmosphere is great.
The food was on the average side. I did like the freshness and overall quality of the ingredients. I got their version of a BLT and it came with an enormous amount of raw vegetables--carrots, cauliflower, and celery, but with no dip. The waitress came by and said, "Oh, you were supposed to get chips with that." By the time she returned, I'd already gotten through the sandwich and didn't really need chips, which was good because she forgot.
The chocolate avocado mousse for dessert was an extremely dense texture. Mousses are generally light, airy, but this was more like a chocolate pudding that went way overboard with gelatin. The mousse kept its shape on a plate, not held by a container. There was nothing with it, except 3 strawberry slivers. It could have used something. We got it as a dessert to share, but each of us took only one bite. The waitress did not notice we left the entire dessert. So, as a Mother's Day outing, we were pretty let down. It's a cool place, the decor, and vibe is wonderful. We walked away underwhelmed.
The food was great, and always is. Somehow they ran out of pancakes. That was a little frustrating bc it’s one of the few kid-friendly items on the menu, which is confusing in itself since it’s a huge destination for families. Anyway, I do love this place and have been several times. Just wish they would have whipped up more pancakes!
What a hidden local gem! I’m sorry it’s taken us five years to find this place, but it won’t be long before we return. My girlfriend is vegan and that can sometimes be challenging. Not for Mudhen “Meats & Greens”! The waitress crafted an awesome enchilada dish for her while I finally decided on the grain fed cheese burger. Both were great but there are so many other options we need to come back again (and again). AND, it’s right at the entrance to the Farmer’s Market. $1 an hour parking and more than just a lunch spot. Highly recommend!
Painfully slow service and our first server knew nothing about the menu. The restaurant was not that crowded and it took about 20 minutes after we gave our credit card to the server to pay our bill and leave. We had to go ask the manager to get our credit card from the server so we could pay. Tried to tell management of the issues and he didnt seem to care and just turned and walked away while talking to him.
Loved it! So fresh and impressive options made from locally sourced foods.
We loved it! The brunch was amazing and we loved the atmosphere!
Music was very loud
Good vibe Service was friendly but notably slow and disorganized.
We had awesome service by Creighton he was amazing and the food was
top notch with local fare.
Wait staff was over whelmed. Food was good but whole meal was out of sync from a service cycle. Long time to be met, long time on drinks and food.
