I LOVE Ms. Icey’s
This was our first time visiting this restaurant but it won’t be the last. The food and cocktails were really good. We had a great waitress who was very knowledgeable of the menu. The overall vibe of this place was great. My only issue would be that the menu is pretty limited.
Parking is terrible. No valet service available
Great food, music, and customer service. I’d recommend this restaurant to all my friends
I had a great experience. Today’s experience makes me want to return to try new things on the menu and sit at the bar to have a few drinks.
Great food and atmosphere
The food was delicious. Good size portions. Our server (Gerrell ?) was very pleasant and upbeat. And the bartender made us a special drink after dinner.
This is the perfect spot for a date night.
All due respect I brought my wife here for a date night and we could not have been more satisfied. I took a chance on this place not knowing how the food and service would be but man I’m glad I did. We had 7p reservations on Valentines Day so you know the place was packed. After a 5 min wait the host took us to our booth seats where we were greeted by our waitress Tanisha. What a pleasant experience. Tanisha was excellent with giving advice on the menu and bar items. Being vegetarian, I wasn’t quite sure what to order. She recommended the cauliflower tacos for starters and cauliflower steak for entree. Both were unbelievable. The wife has teriyaki chicken wings which were so so according to her and oxtails for her entree. The drinks and music added the perfect touch as I sipped Uncle Nearest while listening to Mary J. Blige and DeAngelo circa ‘95. Overall I would give this place a 5 star rating due to great service I received, the awesome food and laidback ambiance. We eat out a lot and it is finally refreshing to see a black owned restaurant execute on service, food and vibe! Bottom line: We will definitely recommend and will definitely be back!
Beware, there parking is a hassle here! As we walked in, one of my friends said that the food better be worth it. The food is DEFINITELY worth it! Please play more reggae! The drinks were strong, the food is yummy, and the restaurant is cayute! I already made reservations three months out! I can't wait to go back! The DJ was good and shoutouts to the 85 year old birthday girl was too sweet. The staff was friendly and fast. No complaints, other than parking! :)
My Husband and I went on a dinner date to Ms. Icey's and we both enjoyed ourselves. The Ambiance was really cool /up beat and I loved the oxtails and NYC Nutcracker. My husband order the Lamb chops and they looked delicious. It was not over crowded and the music was just right for us.
I don't have any complaints and we will be coming back soon.
Traveled all the way from Philly.....ITS WORTH THE PLANE TICKET!🤗
Great food, music and service!
This is my new favorite sport to dine. The food was excellent! The drinks were amazing! Ambiance was everything... music, decor, servers! We had a wonderful time and will return again & again! Don’t miss this hot spot! ❤️
Second time was even better than the first time! The food was excellent. The service was prompt and attentive. But not too attentive. And the music was great. Loved it! Thanks for lowering the volume in comparison to our first visit. After all, you want to be able to converse with your dinner guests without having to scream. This restaurant is now on our rotation.
I had 2 first time visitors in my party who thoroughly enjoyed their experience. We had the honeysuckle mimosas, skillet cornbread, and fish and grits with shrimp. As always, the food and service were outstanding!
The ambience and the drinks were great. But the food was mediocre at best. The wings tasted very old and they were at room temperature. The cornbread was very dry and crumbled as we tried to slice it. One had the chicken and waffles the sweet potato waffle was very good. But it came with these two tiny wings that looked as though they came from a Cornish hen and one drumstick. That was unacceptable. Two had the oxtails and said they were really good but the étouffée was bland. We heard such great things about this place but we are Foodies and not impressed. Maybe it was a bad night who knows, but our experience was fair. The worse part is that you can’t return food to the kitchen so they can literally serve you whatever the please. That’s a terrible policy and in poor taste.
Wonderful atmosphere with terrific, friendly service. The food is delicious with fresh ingredients!
The service was great from beginning to end. The food was pricey and taste was ok for the most part. The live music was too loud to have conversations. Seating at tables are on stools; wasn’t very comfortable.
Really noisy but overall good. Seated next to the live band which I wish the host would've selected another empty booth.
Very good food but don’t like the restrictions on the menu that you can’t substitute certain items. Other than that nice place.
Food and ambiance was AMAZING! It took an extremely long time to get our food but the waitress was very attentive and kept checking on us
This place has an awesome vibe and good food. The live music on Friday is a really nice touch. I have enjoyed my visit there the two times I have gone.
Great Service and Food!
This is a hidden gem. Our experience was amazing. Great food, drink's and service. Not to mention the DJ was in full effect. My friends and I are already planning our next visit to Ms. Icey's.
My wife, daughter and I went today for MLK Day. The food was amazing. My wife (and I; we always share each other’s food) enjoyed the Oxtails, our daughter enjoyed the Fish and Grits and I enjoyed the Seafood Frittata! All good flavors. The drinks were good as well!
The food and service was absolutely amazing. The waitress was well versed with the menu and food was hot and quick
Second time at Ms. Icey's and I enjoyed the overall experience. MLK Brunch menu was shorten, so I missed some items I had for brunch before. The skillet cornbread batch we got was not the norm (warm, moist). Our waiter, mixologist, and manager were superb! We will return.
Good times! Thanks to Glen for his customer service
Went for Brunch in a Sunday. I had an amazing time. The music, food and drinks were great!
I ordered the cornbread, saltfish mangu, and I drank the Nutcracker libation. All were amazing!
It was well attended
Food was really good. Place was excessively loud. Hard to have a conversation without yelling. Had more of a bar feeling, not a restaurant to go and enjoy a meal
Great experience! Would definitely return.
We were a party of 8, but Ten. B, our server was very nice, attentive, and polite. I love the atmosphere here. It's just the right mix of people and music. The food is amazing, and I, nor anyone in my party have ever been disappointed. We had the fish and grits, oxtails, skillet cornbread, and more. The drinks from the bar are always on point!
Loved this place! Great vibe. Excellent customer service and great food! Live band was a plus!
The food was good the drinks were good and service was cool.
Very nice place. Friendly staff. Food was just ok.
Really liked the drinks and ambiance. I will go back
Good food & Drinks + 🔥 DJ = An awesome brunch experience
I personally had the jerk lamb dish, which was quite delectable.
Great atmosphere customer service and energy!!!!!!!!
The waitress (Asia) we had was horrible. I flew all the way to Atlanta just to eat there because I was there in October for my birthday. She never came over and asked if we was okay, or checked on us unless I raised my hand to get her attention. I think this is vital in restaurants. The owner was there the first time and he stopped by frequently to see if we needed anything.
Birthday! Great atmosphere, and our server Tenisha was a outstanding! Will definitely keep in mind for their special occasions! Love that it is a minority-owned establishment too!
