Good food & Drinks + 🔥 DJ = An awesome brunch experience
I personally had the jerk lamb dish, which was quite delectable.
Great atmosphere customer service and energy!!!!!!!!
The waitress (Asia) we had was horrible. I flew all the way to Atlanta just to eat there because I was there in October for my birthday. She never came over and asked if we was okay, or checked on us unless I raised my hand to get her attention. I think this is vital in restaurants. The owner was there the first time and he stopped by frequently to see if we needed anything.
Birthday! Great atmosphere, and our server Tenisha was a outstanding! Will definitely keep in mind for their special occasions! Love that it is a minority-owned establishment too!
Great vibe...DJ is awesome!!!
There were so many things that went wrong. From seating, to host with attitude, to food taking almost 2 hours to come out. Waitress disappeared for long period of time. The manager tried to help with 10% off bill. That was laughable. He gave two pitchers of mimosas. We would have rather have a 20% or more comp. The food, that we waited so long to get, wasn’t good because it was burnt and cold. It must have sat under the light a long time. I just wasn’t ok with the whole experience. People who arrived after us was getting their food before we did. I mean an hour after we sat down!!!!!!! No one at my table was happy but we tried to keep talking with each other. The only thing that made it bearable for us professionals was each other’s company. We choose this place because we had never been and heard some good things about it. Lmao!!!! They must have knew the staff or owners. I noticed the people who knew the manager received top service. I am not saying he did anything special but who knows right??? I do not have anything nice to say about the place except the music was vibing right. I would not recommend this place to anyone unless you want poor service, cold food and to ignored. 0 stars.
This was our first visit to Ms Iceys. We had reservations but the music was so loud upon entering that I don't think the hostess heard me when I told them that, either way we were seated immediately. Our waitress came right away and we ordered, it took about 35 minutes for our food to arrive, based on the number of diners, this wasn't too bad. The food was pretty good, I ordered the fried chicken and waffles and my husband ordered the seafood frittata. The music was LOUD so there was no way to have a conversation. The playlist was good and there was twerking at some of the tables which was entertaining. What I didn't like was that a 20% gratuity added to the bill with a note that an additional tip would be appreciated. We always tip based on service with 20% reserved for the best servers. They should let you know about this policy in advance. The food would have to be even better for me to return.
Great service as usual !
Really enjoyed my brunch experience at Ms Icey’s. The DJ was great, whoever I wish they would have turned the volume down just a bit. I left with a bit of a sore throat, because I was trying to yell over the music. My food was good, but I wished they had a few more vegan/vegetarian options. Overall, I had a good time and plan to go back.
This is a cute restaurant with live music. The food so delicious, every bite is packed with flavor! Each amount provided was definitely well worth our money! We will definitely be coming back to dine here! Oh, there’s also the skillet cornbread....it’s a must! You can thank me later!
My husband and I decided to sit at the bar and have dinner and drinks. Well, for starters we waited nearly 30-40 minutes for our appetizer. Our waitress did tell us she forgot to put our order in. The wings were burnt and cold. We worked through it and ordered dinner. My meal was a 2/5 with 5 being the best. Lastly, I waited for the waitress to refresh my glass of water. My husband decided to ask her if I could get another glass of water after waiting patiently for her attention. There is room for growth...therefore we will return at a later date.
Great food, great drinks, great service! I will be back!
Great place to brunch & for celebrating if you like loud music & strong mimosas
Sunday brunch with a live DJ! Some of the best food in Atlanta, with great drinks and great vibes. Music can be a tad loud, but it brings a fun, lighthearted energy and a good time. The menu is an upscale amalgam of soul/comfort/southern food with Caribbean and Cajun influences. The cornbread is unbelievably good...sweet, and buttery. The "strip club wings" are complex: tangy, spicy and saucy. The Oxtail is delicious, as is the étouffée. Its all good!
My friends and I went for NYE to have a girls night out at this establishment. Our service was less than subpar to say the least. It took over 30mins to get our drinks, there was rust in cast iron skillet with my kale, and service was extremely slow. The restaurant was not even close to capacity and we still received terrible service. I spoke to the owner about the long wait on drinks and didn’t seem to care or didn’t offer apologies for the less than perfect service. Needless to say, I will not be back and I will be sure tell others of the terrible service I received.
The food was delicious. We had shrimp as appetizer and lamb chops and ox tails for our entrees. The food was great but the meat portions were small. Three lamb shops would have been better and a couple more oxtails.
Service was great as well.
It’s took them 30min to seat us then the food was salty af!!
Oh, the oxtails! As good as my Mom's! Good vibe and excellent service!!
Had a blast.
The food and ambiance was amazing. We celebrated my husbae BDay. We ordered the stripper wings OMG I should have ordered a to go order. The cornbread was really good and I am not a cornbread fan unless my nana made it. I Love this place I will be returnimg for brunch real soon.
Beautiful venue, fantastic food and very good service. The noise level was extremely loud from the live DJ.
Loved everything about this !
I hadn't been to a day party in a long time! Saturday Brunch was so much fun-loud and lively! The DJ had the music pumping; the wait staff and servers were friendly and efficient; the food was delicious. Customer service was great.
Would definitely return. Only wish the music was a little lower for table conversation.
I always have an enjoyable experience at Ms. Icey’s and this time was no different.
The food was AMAZING! We are going to go back until we’ve tried everything on the menu! They also had live music and great service, you just can’t beat that!
This was my first time going on. Friday night. The vibe was great, food and drink were tasty and the band was playing all the right music. I would definitely come back.
The lamb ribs, kale and collards were delicious.
Nice atmosphere....great vibe... awesome food
Great food. Loved the live music!
This was our first time here. The food was great. We had the oxtails and it season to perfection. We will be back
Overall, it was a good brunch. The food was good , the restaurant was nice and I really enjoyed the DJ. However, our server sucked. She had an attitude for no apparent reason and didn't speak to us like we were adults. After she gave us the bill, she kind of apologized, but it probably was for her tip. She so didn't acknowledge that we were there to celebrate a birthday and basically ignored our request. She ruined our overall experience and the lack of parking didn't help neither. I would recommend it for Sunday lunch/brunch, but I probably wouldn't go back.
Great place for celebrations or just to go alone for a great brunch & excellent mimosas that are affordable!
My spouse’s and my visit to Ms. Icey’s Kitchen was really nice. For me, it was especially nice. The ambience and music reminded me of my early adulthood. As we would say back in the early 80’s, the music was thumpin’. My spouse is white. So, the music probably didn’t resonate with him as well.
But there is no denying the the food was exceptional. Caribbean or Cajun food, Ms. Icey’s Kitchen is the place to go. We both had the Branzino whole fish. It was so flavorful.
The service was good. Our server was knowledgeable and pleasant.
My two critiques would be to do a better job of ensuring the menu matches what’s available. And, although I loved the music genre, it could have been a little lower in volume.
The trout was fantastic — impeccably seasoned! But, the grits were cold. Ms. Icey’s is worth a second look on a weekday.
This was my 3rd time going to this restaurant. The first 2xs was nice. The service was great and so was the food. However, this time we went around 3pm on a Saturday and the music was really loud, but the vibe was more for a younger crowd. It took a while for the server to take our order and bring our food. Overall, I would go back, but not during the day.
This was a very nice vibe. The food and music were both great. It was just a little too loud. The hostess and waitress couldn’t hear us clearly and you really couldn’t hear the people at your table.
Loved this place. Food and drink great and priced well. Amazing lunch vibe on a Saturday with DJ knocking out great tunes.
KAi is the best server
It was my dates first time going and I know I scored cool points lol
My first visit was on a Friday evening, for a birthday dinner. I enjoyed it so much that I decided to have my birthday celebration here. This time, I celebrated my birthday with girlfriends during Saturday brunch, and it felt like we were at an awesome day party with great food and entertainment, and equally good service. We will be back!
