   "I had a great time at the restaurant. It had a warm and friendly atmosphere that made me feel welcome. The service was excellent, with helpful staff who were nice and knew the menu well. The food was tasty, and I enjoyed a lovely glass of wine that went well with my meal. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, and I highly recommend it!"

   The weather in Melbourne wasn't good this day and it reflected in an uncrowded dining experience for us at Mr Tomkins. It was a shame really as the excellent food and service deserved a larger gathering of diners. We had the North African Blackened Chicken with Chargrilled Corn and Crispy Fried Baby Potatoes & it was excellent. The wine list showed a selection of some boutique and mainstream wineries and Denny the manager was knowledgable and very helpful in selecting wines that suited our meal. Isha, the waitress was lovely and attentive without being intrusive at all. Both of them gave excellent service which added to the great experience that we enjoyed at Mr Tomkins. Overall it was an experience and level of quality well above the price- point of the food. It's a restaurant well worth visiting and enjoying for yourself. I highly recommend it and I and my wife will definitely be back to enjoy the Winter menu this year.

   Great evening enjoying delicious food & cocktails with a gf at Mr Tompkins. The service was excellent, very friendly, genuine & thoughtful. All of our menu choices were generous servings - fresh octopus & a vege salad for our appetisers. The rump & swordfish steaks as mains were absolutely divine. We also had the potatoes (bowl fit for 4 - couldn't eat them all) and chargrilled corn as our side, great! No room for dessert. Really love the space and decor. We came early so it was quiet with enjoyable background music, the restaurant was getting busy as we were leaving and was a good atmosphere. Thank you to the team for looking after us. Highly recommend!

   The food was very good, the steak is easy to eat and was cooked the way I asked. The swordfish was alright, I’m a seafood fan, but I have eaten better one. The cocktail I’ll give it 0, it seems like they use some kind of cheap syrup, especially cosmopolitan wasn’t drinkable at all. But it’s ok Was very quiet night which was good for us. Just for next time, if there is a celebration or any dinner, most of the time people want to be left alone during the time. We were disturbed couples time not related to an order or anything. Please next time, after we or anyone take the order, leave them alone until they finished. We want to spend some quite time together while enjoying a meal, we don’t want to talk to staff about where we from or what we doing here. Overall we enjoyed and thank you for everything

   This was a well-orchestrated, perfect dining experience for the six of us! There were Singers, Santa, and enough drinks for us all. Service was fabulous and with a smile! We never had to wait for refills or whatever we wanted.

   We made a lunch booking at Mr Tompkins last Tuesday but it wasn't open on! We were told it never is! We had to have a simple meal at their bistro instead. Crazy website if it can't manage opening times
