   Over all very good visit, food was very good , all 4 of us enjoyed our meals, meals arrived promptly and as expected. Service was great throughout 95% of our visit, my only comment would be that it took the server to long to bring the bill, but not really a large concern as we could have asked for it sooner if we wished.

   Mr Mikes has a little something for everyone and every occasion. Love the Mike burger and chicken wings. The value for the meal is always fair too!

   Food was mediocre- my sirloin was good but my dinner partner’s steak sandwich was not good. The steak was dry and the bread burnt. The Caesar salad was poor. To their credit they gave us a credit of 30% of the meal.

   Three of the four of us had different steak dishes. Plates for a steak are disgustingly so I never order steak there ever. Price wise go to the Keg for steak for sure. Quesadilla was very good/ salad questionable. It was a very wet night found it a little cool in there. Not the first time. The spin dip is excellent and the wings but pricey I know prices have gone up but! There wine is 5 or 8 ounce not like most at 6&9 ounce. When I see Mr.Mikes in Alberta looks more homey than Coquitlam. Just drab and sort of down even most of the staff. I keep going and trying and hoping but not sure when you look at prices and compare elsewhere.

   We ordered the Valentines special, the steak was good but my potatoes tasted like they can from the freezer and the second ones they brought were marginally better. Not what I expected. Also when I made reservations it did not say anything about having to reserve a booth as we were refused a booth saying we needed to have reserved one. First time that happened, not to impressed. We were offered a dessert in consideration.

   We had an excellent waitress, who was friendly and attentive. The ambience is consistent to dining in a family style restaurant but the prices are more reflective of finer dining. I had a combo that was featured on the menu with french onion soup,sirloin steak with mashed potatoes, carrots and a smidge of mushrooms. The soup lacked the traditional oogie gooey cover of cheese on top, with a small amount present on a couple pieces of soggy bread. The steak was the toughest cut I have ever eaten and the mushrooms were almost dehydrated. Carrots were good! I did not feel it was great for $39. My husband bumped his steak up to a fillet mignon at an additional $11, which was more tender. He had a ceasar salad that was unusually sweet, which was just different than anticipated. His combo was $50. Would pay the little extra and venture next time to the Keg.

    We haven’t been in a couple of years, and found the food not to be as good as previous. Ordered a steak rare to medium rare. It came medium well done. The server and the manager were good about taking it back and bringing a new one. Even ordering the sticky topic pudding was not up to par. It wasn’t heated enough. It was adequate.
