Contemporary Japanese Izakaya & Saké bar!

Izakaya (居酒屋), made up of three Kanji symbols translates as stay, drink, place. It represents an informal bar where friends & family meet, a comfortable setting where you can really settle in and enjoy food & drinks in a casual style. Izakaya style, unlike a traditional restaurant is fun, vibrant & relaxed, dishes come to your table as they are ready, they are meant to be shared.

Using traditional Japanese methods & the freshest seasonal ingredients we serve small dishes, pairing perfectly with our speciality drinks, especially Saké & our imported Japanese craft beer selection.

Come join us, kick back and relax, our bartenders will prepare our signature cocktails for you and talk you through our extensive Saké list, whilst our talented chef’s prepare your dishes with passion using both locally sourced produce & speciality ingredients imported from Japan.

We are on the main street of Chevron Island, a short distance from Surfers Paradise.

    Mr Kojima was fantastic… the food was absolutely delicious as were the cocktails. This was my first visit but will definitely not be my last

    OMG, you HAVE to get here! We’ve tried a quite few of the mid to upscale Japanese restaurants around the Gold Coast, and this one was one of the best. Food was fresh, came out fast and was delicious! Cocktails were fancy and the service impeccable. But without the high-end price tag. Tip: try their pork belly, waygu roll and salmon teriyaki. We will definitely be visiting again when next in the Goldy. A+++

    As soon as we walked in the door the service was on point. Friendly and accommodating.the food was excellent and the cocktails delicious. We'll definitely come back again.

    Kia ora, what an experience for 3 adults and 1 child, outstanding food, we tried all sorts of small plates and 2 larger portions, it was delicious and beautifully made. I would highly recommend visiting and trying here. Outstanding.

    EVERYTHING was amazing from the first dish to the last!!! The service was amazing and our server Bea was extremely friendly and welcoming. I cannot say enough great things about this restaurant. Cannot wait to return again!!! 5 STARS!!!

    We had Omakase course. Everything was delicious, presentation was beautiful, service was excellent. We will definitely go again.
