One of our guests (the biggest eater of all at the table) ordered gnocchi $18. It was the smallest serving on the table should have been appetite and cheaper. Also more spinage than pasta. What a shame he also said NOT real potatoes. Waited quite sometime for water.

New chef and new menu. Could be my personal taste, but there were favorites on the menu which set it above and beyond the average restaurant. Those are gone. Sides aren't as well prepared and portions are smaller. The only reason I would continue to go there is convenience when I'm staying at the hotel and vouchers that make it free. Apparently I'm not the only one that feels that way since restaurant was almost empty

Breadsticks terrible hard shortly after receiving Dressing with sausage and mushrooms??? Should have smaller seniors size portions (too much food wasted that does heat up well) half orders should be available

Food and service was outstanding! We had prime rib, and all 4 of us were pleased with how it was ocoked and also with the quality of the meat. MUCH better than last one we had at Delmomicos recently.

Great meal for the price. Our only negative was our prime rib was served cold. It still tasted good but would have been better warm. Everything else was very good. Will definitely go again.

My brothers prime rib was great, it came as ordered rare. I had the thai (5) scallops and rice. Was not great, really did not have much flavor. Will not order again, but I will come back. Allot of menu items sound good.

The food was mostly very good. I don’t like the new version of the coleslaw, it tasted like there was pickle relish in it. I thought the older past version of the coleslaw was absolutely delicious, That was a little disappointing. There is an upgraded version of the menu food now and what I ordered was a newer item and it was very good.

We have been dining @ Mr.G’s quite often and it was always a good experience. This time we really enjoyed the “daily special” - Haddock filet sandwich with Lemon Aiola and wedge fries and a House salad. It was delicious. Thank you to the entire staff for their kind service and cooking expertise.

We had to send steak back. It was raw. Two tables next to us also had to send steak back. One was too well-done. Not sure the reason for the other one. OK second time around, but mine was grizzly. Usually your specials are better. EXCELLENT service/waitress.

Waitress forgot to put our appetizer in.and got it more or less for dessert. The drinks were terrible. The waitress brought out frozen rolls and butter for us. She also made a face when asked for another drink. The mushroom risotto with shrimp has 4 shrimp and 2 little mushrooms for $32 really which was really mushy. The Mr. G's pasta has 4 shrimp and there were 4 halved scallops which was good. Come to find out when being comped drinks are not included. This was our third time there and will never go back

Mr. G’s has a new menu! My husband had the featured special and I had an old favorite with new sides. Our dinners were OUTSTANDING! We were served by Scott - also new to us and also outstanding. Can this restaurant get any better? It’s our go-to place!

The kitchen was very slow, unless you ordered the special for Wednesday night. The pork chop was tough and the pasta entree was dry. All in all, a disappointment. However, the buns were good. Will think twice before visiting again!

Ordered fish fry; fish bland, no seasoning. Carrots raw. Reported to waitress. She informed chef. He agreed. Removed from line. Never offered another side dish. Thought it was pricey considering the poor quality. Husband had bowties with very little seafood. Said it wasn't worth the price. Most irritating was the number of empty reserved tables for over an hour, or longer. Guests were refused entry because they were full with reservations. They could have eaten and tables cleaned in that amount of time. Not a very good way of doing business. This is the 3rd and final poor experience at Mr. G's. Also, menu has not changed in years.

Had guest for birthday dinner. The staff, the food, the service was excellent. Host Mark, gave us comp dinner voucher which was a great present. Drinks an dessert was also very good. Thanks again to all.

Wife’s Sandwich was Poor Had pastrami in it I had a grilled chicken Was alright Both were expensive We thought it was prime rib night as an old ad was on Facebook that said Thursday Night Disappointed that there wasn’t prime rib

We ate at Mr. G's on a Wednesday in September and had the prime rib special. The meat was very tasty but we found it to be a little tough. I chose carrots as a side. Again they were very tasty but some were cooked more than others. Overall, the food was very good. I know it's hard to get everything perfect while cooking for so many, but I know we will definitely be back to eat at Mr. G's again.

Mr’s G’s is a nice restaurant inside of the Vernon Downs Casino and Hotel. The menu is quite large and they also have a special dinner offered each Wednesday. During September it was a prime rib dinner with choice of two sides for $22. It was a large perfectly cooked slice of prime rib about an inch thick. Side choices were glazed carrots, creamed spinach, mashed potatoes, potato wedges, rice pilaf, and more. Their regular menu has wonderful choices too, everything from burgers to pork chops and everything in between. They also serve a great wedge salad and baked French onion soup. Warm rolls come with dinners. Service was A+. We will return.
