Mr Crabby’s Craft Kitchen + Bar
I expected a seafood menu, a large variety of fish to choose from. Is not the case.
Love the new chef. The food has gotten much better. Staff is very friendly, accommodating and service fast. Love the chips and pickled veggies plate.
This place has really upgraded it’s menus and food! Very nice presentation too!
Always an excellent meal... seafood is fresh, sandwiches are tasty. Save room for dessert. And tonight for St.Patty's Day they brought in young Irish Step dancers and Pipe and Drums to perform... fantastic!!
Place is great. Bar is fantastic. Such a wide variety of food options. Great place for family, friends and kids. The bar is great for sports. Our server Chris was top shelf. Truly enjoyed what he did. Would go again and would recommend.
Meeting up with a nephew n niece.
Food was a bit pricey and below average. Portions were very small. Place was cool, and sever (Chris) was very good.
Food was great from a Apps to dessert. I was pleasantly surprised. Place looks like a Pub Bar but the food and service is way way higher.
We had a very good experience on a busy Saturday night. Service was excellent. Food choices were extensive and creative. Love the complementary old bay potato chips. Will definitely be back.
Love the menu Chef Eric has created. Food and service was amazing.
We have been to Mr. Crabby's twice now and both times the food was great and the service was excellent.
Food much improved waitres spot on but my God it was noisy
Food is very good. Great for large parties. Very kid friendly.
The menu has something for everyone land, air, water, & garden. And the staff was exceptional.
Service was terrific! Eric LeVine’s menu is seasonal and delicious with options for all. We can’t wait to go back.
Had the Valentine Weekend special: Surf and Turf. The cut was okay and not a large piece of steak. Asked for medium but it was more like medium well. Maybe it is because it was thin. Other than that, my wife’s meal and the rest of mine was pretty good. The desserts were VERY good.
Good wait staff. They were very attentive. We will definitely go back with the kids next time.
Our waiter Chris was fantastic and Chef Eric came around a few times to see if all was well. It was and we will definitely be back.
signed the nutty table of seven by the door.
Now that we know that Eric Levine is the chef we decided to try this restaurant. We were not disappointed. The service was great. We had the New England Clam Chowder which though not traditional, was very tasty. Then my husband had the scallop dinner. The scallops were huge and delicious! I had the Shrimp stuffed with crabmeat. The shrimp were very large and the crab was all crab, no bread crumb filler. It was delicious! We had a lovely dinner and a great experience at Mr. Crabbys. So glad Eric Levine is the chef now! We'll be back!!
great food! we love morris tap & grill so when we heard chef eric was at mr. crabbys we had to come try it!
Band was great
Mark was our server and he was honestly the best server I’ve ever had. He made our experience. Very impressed.
Service was good- however, the food was cold and not done as ordered. Definitely not going there again and will share this experience with friends and family.
I had heard great things about the Chef's dinners but that care did not transfer to the regular dining experience. We heard he does a great job with short ribs, which was our main reason for driving 40 minutes, although tasty they were very fatty. My filet was very good and tender, but the sauce was left off and when he brought it it was lumpy. Also eating such an expensive cut of meat on a board was a bit off-putting. My friend asked for her leftovers to be wrapped up but they disappeared, as did our waiter. The desserts were very good, we enjoyed the cheesecake, key lime pie and a mousse cup.
Our server was bored and disinterested- clearly not happy to be working NYE. We would have loved to have given him a better tip.
It is clear the Chef is trying to make changes. We know it takes time. We may come for a pairing dinner in the future.
Excellent experience, warm environment. Friendly staff
Chef Eric LeVine is back with his signature 7 dust spice and delicious food choices!
Great food and service .
Octopus and sweet potato gnocchi were delicious
Great Bday celebration with good food and great service!
Sorry to say, we will not be back! This restaurant had the potential to be something great but they missed the mark. The service was terrible. My husband asked for sweetener to go with his iced tea and it never came. Our server disappeared after she took our order. It turns out that she had a meltdown after her other table had an issue with the chef and gave her a hard time. When you look online at their menu, there is a photograph of the octopus dish that I ordered. It looked so good in the picture that I ordered it for my main dish. It was very disappointing when it finally arrived. Besides taking forever, it looked like it was thrown on the plate with a bunch of potatoes and smothered in a disgusting brown sauce - totally unlike the come-on on their website. There was no appeal whatsoever. I do not know what was going on the kitchen that night but it certainly was a mess. My husband ordered a caesar salad. When it arrived, there were 2 skinny stalks of romaine on the plate with fake prefabricated caesar dressing drizzled over it. That is not caesar salad! Any restaurant goer can attest to that. Luckily, my husband's paella was OK and my lobster and shrimp wonton appetizer was OK as well. After trying Mr. Crabby's a few times, we have decided that overall, this place is not for us. The music was so loud we could not hear one another. It just doesn't cut it.
We were seated promptly and were surprised to see a change in the menu. The updated menu had a variety of choices with an Asian flare to many of the choices. We enjoyed the mussels with lemon and garlic sauce, soup dumplings, ahi tuna salad shaker and king crab pot special.
Outstanding new menu with so many veg/vegan options! BRAVO!!!
Went to Mr. Crabby's because Eric Levine was there. We really like his take on food. We will be back as long as Eric is the Head Chef.
Food was fresh and well prepared. Our waitress was able to help us choose appetizers and meals. Love the seasonal menu and it was so nice to talk to the chef, he’s truly passionate about his job!
The menu is diverse with many tasty choices. The offer a seasonal menu with unique offerings.
Still cannot get over the change - key word here is consistency !! The food is now consistent thanks to Chef Eric LeVine and his crew !!! Thank you
Tonight we are going there to have thanksgiving dinner and looking forward too it
We had our daughters birthday dinner and it was very good
My husband and I both ordered the New England clam chowder which was grey in color with the consistency of paste.
My crab stuffed shrimp were good, however there was a very spicy ingredient that I was not expecting. My husband did enjoy his fish and chips.
Too bad, it was our first and last time there.
This was our first visit, and we drove almost an hour to get to Mr. Crabby's. I was really looking forward to a great meal (based on facebook comments and other reviews), and hearing some live music. My girlfriend and I are both in our late 50's. Arrived 5 minutes early for our 6:45 reservation. The man manning the hostess station seemed annoyed that he actually had to seat us. I didn't understand what that was all about...
Sat at a high top table in the corner of the bar, which was requested and preferred. Place looked great, and being a huge sports fan I loved all the TV's. Took way to long for a waitress to come over (at least ten minutes). Once she did arrive, however, she (Taylor) was a very sweet and friendly young lady. She took our drink orders, but again, it took quite a while for her to actually bring them to us. Your Mr. Crabby's draft beer was delicious.
The chips and yellow "mush" is outstanding. Whatever that creamy mush is, we loved it. The mussels were poor. Not at all fresh - far too mush and not at all firm - and not much flavor. Also, some distinct flavor, not sure what it was, was something unfamiliar and not very good. Big disappointment.
The New England Clam Chowder was excellent. Delicious and chock full of clams.
My dinner sucked. I ordered the special: King Crab Legs. Unfortunately, they were terrible. A large portion, but terrible. Completely tasteless. My gal agreed that they were completely tasteless. I don't mind paying $38 for an entrée, but I expect it to taste good. I mentioned it to our waitress, and all she said is "well.... I can bring you some bay seasoning". That's not the solution.
Lastly, nobody addressed my complaint about tasteless crab legs. No visit from the manager, no free desert, no "we'll take your beer off the bill"....nothing. I guess Mr. Crabby doesn't really care if his customers leave disappointed.
I may return for beer and live music, but I won't be ordering any food.
Went to Mr. Crabby's at the suggestion of my date who lived nearby. The place is huge and, as you would expect on a Saturday night, crowded. The place is broken up into two halves, one housing a huge bar and some tables where a live band began playing about 9p.m., the other a large, casual dining area. Bar service was more than adequate before we transitioned to the dining area. Table service was most attentive and friendly, and the coconut shrimp appetizer was pretty good. I was disappointed in my papardelle with braised short ribs, as the combination didn't strike the right balance...it seemed too sweet to be paired with pasta. The dessert choices were ample and delicious. Were I to live closer, I'd return to Mr. Crabby's, but with the understanding that it is a good bar to hang out with friends and I'd bring food expectations to match.
He has always had quality in his cooking and choices.
It’s much better now that they have Chief Eric.
Great food, excellent service, plenty of Gluten Free options. Highly recommended.
