MR CHOW - TriBeca
NY Magazine wrote in 2006 "To eat at a Mr Chow restaurant is to participate in a roving party, one that has migrated through four decades, three continents, & an awful lot of soup dumplings."
TriBeCa's Executive Chef Kwok Hor, is a highly respected professional in the Chinese Cuisine Industry & has given many lectures at The Hong Kong Culinary Association.
MR CHOW's menu is a combination of old authentic Beijing, Original Recipes, Chicken Satay, MR CHOW Noodles & Ma Mignon all were created by our passionate & skillful chefs. Also, on the Menu is one of the best prepared Beijing Duck in the world.
Food tasted bland
Much too expensive for sub average food
Expected a lit from mr chow
Very disappointing will never go there again
Best restaurant in NYC
Realllllly expensive for what it is but the ambiance is really nice. I would say you need to try it at least once ... but keep in mind you’re not spending less than 250$ here to eat well and have a nice experience. Staff was great, I think that if you’re polite and respectful they totally reciprocate so always remember to be nice!
Amazing!! Food is always on point!! Missed the manager Choppy yesterday. He was off..
Amazing time at Mr Chow’s. Food was awesome get the duck!
The food was excellent and the service was phenomenal!! Thanks so much for the wonderful experience!!
Dinner was good . They tried to rush us through dinner . I wanted the noodles that they make table side well they didn’t do it so I was very disappointed . It’s very expensive Chinese food.
One of my favorite restaurants so far is always a A+ servise and food is delish!
First impressions: amazing!
From start to finish this place was exceptional. The service and food was nothing short of spectacular they treated us with respect and dignity. For the price of the menu you got a great amount of food and they catered to your every need.
Duck amazing although super expensive, mains pretty good but very overpriced, noodles ok. Overall place very nice, service excellent, food ok, value terrible. ☹️
The outside Veranda is wonderful on a summer day…..Food like Always delicious
Dinner of 2 - Restaurant week (NYC)
It was amazing! So worth the splurge. Food was great.”, anazing ambiance, and drinks were just right
Great experience from arrival to departure! Great service and great prices.
Food was delicious but VERY expensive. I was actually still a little hungry after ordering 2 appetizers and and entree.
While the food was fantastic, the service was not.
It felt forced at times and we did not find the waiters helpful.
Bad American Chinese food that’s sugary and swimming in thick sauce, except at 3 times the price. Waiters in tuxedos looked sharp but provided the worst service, taking our appetizers away to make room for arriving entrees even though we weren’t finished with them. Rushed us out the door because they were busy during Restaurant Week. Hostess insisted that a leftover bag was ours because I happen to have the same last name as another guest. It’s a common Chinese last name but I guess real Chinese people don’t come here much. I expected this in the South where I lived for many years but not in NYC. Never again.
Good food as always. Waiter made us so uncomfortable tho. Stood by our table the entire time and eavesdropped on our convo. Walked by and laughed and then rushed us to pay. I noticed any time black people go out for restaurant week to mr chows we are treated like that. I’m commenting it on now because this is the 3rd time this has happened to me with Mr chow. I come sometimes when it’s not restaurant week and don’t get treated weirdly or rushed. Not sure why at this point. Just hope this will change. It’s not a fun dining experience.
It was possibly one of my worst dining experiences in Tribeca. The Sweet and Sour Chicken tasted like left overs from Panda Express. I've been here several times and this was the worst experience by far.
Service was excellent.
Food was very overpriced, nothing special. Outdoor seating is very nice.
Amazing food. Exceptional service.
Its a little hyped up... But its an honest 3/5
We went here during Restaurant Week. There were no vegetarian options on the Restaurant week menu but the server quickly gave me a few options. The food was flavorful. Had lettuce cup with zucchini and a plum sauce. The main dish was made with soft tofu in a spicy sauce Dessert was sorbet which was refreshing. Service was attentive and the space with the white tablecloths was appealing
Staff was welcoming. Shoutout to Agnes for seating us. Restaurant week menu items were very delicious!
It was the restaurante week...
My husband and I took our two children and had a wonderful experience. Attentive staff, wonderful atmosphere and the food.......beyond delicious!
As usual, every night out at Mr Chow is a great night out! The food (two of the dishes are go-to’s for us) was amazing. The service is among the best in the business...friendly yet earnest, knowledgeable, responsive, and speedy (in the right way).
We need to shorten the time between visits!
Lovely restaurant, great food and very friendly staff.
The food was average. The duck was greasy and overly fried. Very little duck meat mostly fried skin.
It’s always a pleasure dining at Mr Chow’s and it never disappoints The ambience the staff and the wonderful food. It is one of my favorites
I had high expectations based on a friend's recommendation and it was just OK. The ambiance was nice and service was good, but the food was nothing special and it was overpriced, even by NY standards. I will not return.
Medium-low food level. The service was in a hurry throughout the dinner tearing the dishes from the table
Not as good as Miami or London
So the soup dumplings are a great way to start and they did not disappoint at all. The broth had lots of flavor and they were steamed to perfection. The fish was a disappointment, tiny portions and bland taste took away some of the good vibes we were feeling. Desert was great we had the pineapple and coconut sorbet followed by oranges. All in all a good experience but it definitely did not live up to the hype.
Favorite food in the city. Great service too. Never disappoints
Just not sure it’s worth the price anymore ....
Once again Mr Chow TriBeca does an outstanding job!
Food is consistently great, the service is one of the best in NYC
And the atmosphere has a fun vibe without going over the top.
