We had a great time.
Food was delicious. It was Restaurant week, and they really rushed us through the dinner and dropped the check the second I put my fork down. I expect them to want to turn tables but this was over the top and kind of rude.
Food was good, but not worth the money. Same quality foods are available at many other restaurants for much less money. Needs more unique food items to make it worth the trouble.
Not worth high cost , very small portions. Great ambiance and service but not worth the expensive tab.
Great, we had a wonderful dining experience.
Rubbish food. Satay worse than airline starter. Clearly microwaved. I’m never going there again.
It was ok, not WOW! Complicated menu, and he food was like any other «take out» chain. Good atmosphere !
I've eaten at Mr Chow many times in LA and NY but this was the worst food I've ever eaten from Mr Chow. I understand that a pre fix menu for New Years Eve is challenging but the menu chosen was not a good selection and at 85 per person it was a joke. I felt taken advantage of and it has changed my opinion of Mr Chow completely. The worst New Years Eve meal I've ever had.
Unfortunately, the food fell below expectation as the dishes we had were just “off the mark” especially the quality of the dumplings. You certainly come here for the ambiance and vibe — not the food!
Great ambience and service but food is not nearly as good as 57th street or any of the others.
Crispy beef was truly bad.
We’ll go back when we’re in New York but only to 57th street.
Terrible food, terrible service, insane prices. The food is better at Panda Express. Shame on you Mr. Chow!
Mr.Chow Tribeca is delicious but not as polished as 57th street location. Spent a lot of time waving down waiters and several dishes were not hot enough when delivered to the table. Generally very good food though at a fun hot spot.
Great welcome from the host/hostess. Bartender was almost to the point of annoyance— when we sat down. We were 30 min prior to reservation but seemed to be rushed through our drinks and our meal. Not the same experience as 57th street location. The ambiance and vibe is different. The showmanship and polished Service wasnt represented in our meal that evening.
Overall the food was good— some minor corrections with servings needed to be made when we ordered. TriBeCa location is different for certain but even on its own merits it’s good not great.
Service was great, food is really good but the portions are small and very overpriced
The food was overly priced and salty, not good first experience!!!
I took my wife here for 29th Birthday, I must say this a great restaurant , excellent customer service , i didn't have to wait to be seated , amazing wine list , the food was delicious , the flavor was to die for. After eating here i placed Chinese Food to a higher standard , i don't even order out anymore just because the quality that Mr Chow had to offer was so good. All the waiters were excellent , very respectful and top of the line customer service. I definitely want to come back and dine at this location
Ribs dry and tasteless/
Whole fish was drenched in a sauce too salty to eat.
Service very good.
Food tasted as if it were sitting out before being served to us. The duck was served with bones in it, not sliced just ripped apart. Nothing tasted great, subpar and the price was astronomical. I don’t mind paying for good food and service, but it was not worth the money
We were not even given menu. The waiter said, I know what to bring you and you will love it. The Hope purpose is to boost the bill. The food was pretty bad and tasteless. Its sad, we used to really like this restaurant. This is the second time in a row we have this horrible experience and we will never go back.
I hosted a birthday dinner for my husband - 21 people and it was beautiful, delicious, flawless, and easy for me. We had vegans, veggies and pescatarians in our group (as well as those who eat everything) and all were easily accommodated by the menu without any need for custom plates or special requests. Elegant - yet casual if you want it to be. Our group came at 7 and left at 11. We had a blast. The service was perfect. And the compliments the next day were numerous. Great experience.
This is one of my favorite places. The food and service is always excellent. It is a bit pricey so if you are on a budget, save for a special occasion. But i It is much better than the up town location. (which is a bit too corporate) This has much more trendy feel. Outstanding.
We were seated at a long row of two tops and to say we were close to our neighbors was an understatement. The restaurant was also incredibly loud which was frustrating for conversation. We had about 5 different people tend to us through the course of the meal and weren’t sure who our actual server was. Food was fine, aside from the duck not worth the prices. Shrimp fried rice was devoid of any flavor and crispy beef was more fried than anything. Prefer Tao to this.
I went to dine with 3 people. We had ordered off the menu, but it was not the prefix menu. However, when we received the bill we were charged for the prefix. When we inquired about it, the waiter said he was 95% sure the prefix was more cost efficient. When we asked him to run the itemized bill it was $70 more expensive then what we ordered. He corrected the bill, but was not very apologetic and the manager did not come over to apologize. I have dined here a lot and never experienced this before. Not sure what was going on this night, but very disappointed.
The food was a bit lackluster in terms of flavor, but the presentation and service made the meal.
Small tables and too many, no space in between, no noisy. Waiters very profesional, recepsionist poor, food very good, price overvalue.
I go there a lot and this time was beyong horrible. The food was so not tatsty . The duck under cooked, horrible experience.
Have never felt more rushed in a restaurant - the wait staff couldn't have been more frantic in their race to clear up dishes after each bite! And the place was just way too noisy, since there were several large parties, who seemed to think they were at a frat party! Nothing relaxing or enjoyable about the experience. Plus, the food was bland and mediocre.
Overall, a disappointing waste of money, and a marked contrast to the amazing experiences we've had at the Mr. Chow in Miami.
LOVE Mr Chow! Always a fun evening with fantastic food and brilliant service. Have been going for years and years and it will continue to be a family favorite for all occasions!
Attentive and knowledgeable service. Food was very good (dumplings especially). Would have liked a more extensive wine and beer list. Unusual that only one type of beer was offered.
Esperaba más del lugar, me lo habían recomendado mucho pero no cumplió mis expectativas, la comida es muy regular para los precios. No tegresaria
Always a great meal great service the drinks are made exactly how I like them the whole staff is very attentive
Service was very good, however food was fair nothing exceptional. Portions very small , pricing for food was off the charts for portions received. wouldn't return to Mr Chows, and would not recommend to anyone
Everything was great except they said it was family style and that you shared but the portions were so small you would have to order at least 3 portions way over priced for the amount of food.
Always amazing. I have been there many times and I love it!
The food was very delicious but the service was atrocious. I guess they wanted us out in 2 hours flat on a Saturday night because the waiters were cleaning up the table as I was still eating and took my drink. It was pretty obnoxious.
It was so crazy and loud that we aren’t even talking about the delicious food, but about the bad service, loud music, and hectic environment.
I would give this negative stars if that was an option… The food was mediocre and the price was exorbitant. The service was not great… They kept trying to upsell us. When the portions came we couldn’t believe our eyes… The amount of food was so small that it was incredible that they could serve it without being embarrassed. I would never go here again. I would never send anyone here, ever! They should be ashamed of themselves.
