Mr. chow are used to be really good but the food has really gone down. I was disappointed with the crispy beef and the lamb. Out of 10 dishes I was probably satisfied with two.
The most horrible restaurant I have ever eaten at. Food was horrible for the price, I will never visit this place again or recommend to anyone
Food was great, but not that much better from something like PF Chang’s.
The difference is at PF it would have been $250 and here it was $700.
Staff were very helpful but kind of rushy and pushy towards a decision that made us spend more. Ended up having huge amounts of throwaway food because he insisted portions were smaller.
Also, they kept asking what we wanted to drink over and over and over and over… before even we could see a menu.
Had to tell them three times: let us see the menu and order drinks based on the food!
Hey, this is supposed to be fine dining right? They should know about pairings… whatever.
Food was great, ambience pretty good, etc. All you would expect from a place like this. Just that I can’t justify the $$$$.
$24 usd dumplings lol, I thought they would be special but they were the same you’d find for $1 walking on chinatown.
The place was overpacked and noisy, It was worst than going to the flea market. Everything on the menu was overpriced. My date wanted his steak to be cooked well done and the server told him no they can do that they only cook the steak to medium temperature. Mr Chow is a big waste of money it’s all about the hype. They don’t even have spot in the restaurant I could take a few pictures after wasting money on their tasteless and expensive food. I Wouldn’t recommend this place.
Always good food, however, our master service spent no time with our family during our meal. No questions answered... no cordials...very dry. It was unfortunate.
Overall everything was pretty good.
Exceptional As Always. Food and Service and Ambience.
Had a reservation for eight and were placed in the very end of the restaurant next to the rear doors. Felt like an afterthought on service etc. Drinks ordered were incorrect and they kept missing items on our order.
This was amazing it was my wife’s birthday and the food was phenomenal as well as the service, the lobster shumai was amazing!!!
Food was delicious, staff was amazing! Superb all the way around! I’ve tried Vegas, and now Miami, next up is New York!
Loved the experience!!! Definitely will be back. Great service. Waiters took us too fast and we just wanted to relax, but in a good way and we still enjoyed.
Mr.Chow was a great experience the food and service was excellent and worth every moment...
The service was excellent, with very attentive wait staff ready to explain menu options and entrees. The restaurant is beautiful and upscale. If you’re more into branding than actual value for your money, you’ll enjoy it. The portion sizes for the food were small despite being served “family style.” Food was ok, definitely not worth $97 per person. Final verdict: Not worth the price!
Mother’s Dat extraordinary!
They don’t serve fresh cooked meals.
Waiters were attentive
Food was amazing
Waiters were kind
Amazing dinner. One of the best I’ve ever had!
The restaurant has a really cool vibe and we were excited to eat here. Beautiful outdoor and indoor seating areas. Lighting is cool and there are lots of beautiful people. Our waiters were very friendly and fun. That's where it ended. When it came time to order, the hard upsell on everything we were thinking of having was less than subtle. My wine selection was not good enough, the waiter tried to get me to buy a glass that was $30.00 more, although I thought what I ordered was a nice cabernet. I felt we were no longer valued as diners present for a culinary experience, but patrons from whom the job of the staff was to get as much money. We ordered only vegetarian dishes, but then the manager came by and said order this and you can have the special tasting menu. My wife, in her desire to please people, said ok. They quickly took the menus without allowing time to evaluate if this was really what I wanted, and 5 vegetarian dishes later, two glasses of wine, everything brought out at once with no time to digest or relax in between, I had a $270 bill in my hand. The food was good, but nothing any better than a good restaurant in China Town. I mean, we had a nice time and can fortunately afford to spend a little extra money, but I felt like I was taken advantage of, and the thought ruined the evening for me. If you are looking for a place to be seen or to see pretty people in a party atmosphere, regardless of price, where the food is decent (nothing special), then enjoy Mr. Chow. If you want to have an exceptional meal, be valued as a person and a diner, take time to enjoy and savor your food and company, then this is not the place for you.
Excellent service ! Great food but a little overpriced! Special attention from the manager Alex! Will be back soon!
The service and attention were awesome. Food delicious.
We dine at Mr. Chow every time we are in Miami Beach, however on this occasion they were out of 2 items that we requested and substituted pot stickers with steamed dumplings. I asked the waiter why he didn't tell me when I order the potstickers and he just smiled and walked away.
No more Mr. Chow dinners for us!
I always loved this place this time despite covid restrictions was packed like never seen before was hot as hell inside like I was sweating could not enjoy the meal at all table were so close to each other. Really love the food but guys you should really be careful and really keep ppl distant plus keep the AC down was boiling
Nothing like nyc locations...felt like they put the food in a huge wok and shovel it out...
I saw NORE eating there and wanted to try it. I have no regrets and I’ll be visiting more often
We have been going to Mr Chow in NYC since 1980 and to the Miami location since it has opened. We have been in the restaurant business in NY for over 60 years. We have never had a negative experience at Mr Chow until tonight. I will start with the only positive part of the experience: Service was and is always excellent and waiters are on top of their game. Now to the negative: First the wine we ordered that was on the menu with the price they said they are only serving by the glass to “save bottles”.. HUH????? Why even have it on the menu??? We came here for Peking Duck, at 8 pm they were out of duck? How does a Chinese restaurant run out of a signature dish? The food was disgraceful and not eatable whatsoever. The crispy beef was rubber, couldn’t even swallow. Beijing Chicken the chef poured an entire container of salt in it. They changed the beef for the crispy duck, another disaster: dry, 80% of what was on the plate was bones. The squab with lettuce’s color was concerning, fluorescent pink and TASTELESS. Just disgraceful for the prices that they are charging. My local Chinese place can do better than this. The manager Stephane does a lousy job, did not even offer to change our meal, it was our kind waiter who helped us and did the manager’s job for him. Stephantold us the Opentable reviews were not trustworthy. Well, we read the reviews before coming and couldn’t believe it since we have always loved it here and always had excellent food. The reviews were RIGHT, all the reviews on here were extremely similar to our experience tonight. They cancelled our Opentable reservation while we were still st dinner thinking we were stupid, trying to block us from not writing a review, but best believe I was not going to leave this place without leaving my review to save people from having such a lousy and awful dinner and experience at Mr Chow. CHANGE YOUR CHEF CHANGE YOUR MANAGEMENT. We are beyond disappointed We will never come back here until we see some improvements.
Outstanding service. Quite an army of staff, very attentive.
The food was bland! I've had better Asian fusion at pa da express.
Atmosphere was great
Very disappointing experience. All of the retail at the W is boarded up sandbags at the doors. Mr. Chow is full of plexiglass dividers with lots of crying babies on our night. Food has been passed by over the last decade by so many. Won’t be back.
Overprice .. tourist trap.. party of 7 force to order menu for 6 even when 3 of the party barely eat ..
Excellent service, great music and fun atmosphere. My husband and I always enjoy returning back to Mr. Chow's.
Overpriced - food was OK but not worth the money. The family style approach is bad for people who want to only share a few items . Service was good but pushy with the $80 per person choice.
Over priced pushing specials small portions I will never go back do not recommend
Terrible food quality
As always the food, the wine and the service were excellent. They have the best Beijing duck.It was an enjoyable evening.
The food and service were great, but the music was WAY TOO LOUD. We had to literally yell at each other at the table and it was hard to communicate with the staff. It was like a club.
The duck was too dry for our taste
We say fairly quickly and they honored our reservation. The food was awful, all came out cold. Server never came over after food served to check of everything was ok. For the prices they charge this is abominable. The captain seem to be more concerned with selling pricey bottles water and alcohol than. Quality food. Will NOT be returning and will let people we know about our experience.
