Service was great! And food was excellent!
Had to wait over an hour for our table
We never got our table. Showed up on time. Waited 2 hours. Then asked them to text me when the table was ready. They never grabbed us from the bar area where they said to wait nor texted me. Ever. Service is a disaster
I eat at Mr Chow every trip to miami. This trip was a Saturday evening during Art Basel. Mad house x 12. That said I was impressed with the positive temperament of the staff despite the many “I’m somebody” attitudes of their customers :)
90 minute wait but drinks inside the W eased the pain :)
Love this place - Starting with the stylist Maitre’ D that guides a staff focused on giving a great dinning experience.
We waited for 20-minutes for our table to be ready even though we approached the hostess at the time of our reservation. Once we were seated, we were immediately asked to place an order which was off putting not only to us, but the same occurred to the couple which were seated after us. Once we began to order, our server rudely informed us that we were making us a mistake from ordering 'a la carte' and that we would be waiting longer for our food compared to if ordered a two-course meal. We proceeded ordering a two-course meal and the wait time was still long. The appetizers were good, but the main course was bland. It was a whole ordeal if the person sitting on the couch had to get up as the table had to be pulled forward to let them out of their seat every time. For the price of the meal and the service, I do not recommend this restaurant. You're in Miami -- there are plenty of better fine dining options so stay away.
I guess they had overbooked? We had an 8 pm reservation, we didn’t get sat for 45 minutes. The waiter cane by and asked if we wanted drinks, after we said we only wanted water, they took another 15 minutes to ask us what we wanted to eat. I was pretty disappointed. The food was over priced and not that tasty and the service was horrible.
Fantastic as always...The hostess was rude but that seems to be constant at the Miami Location...quite amusing actually.
I had to wait an hour for my table, which was a bit annoying. But then again it was during Art Basel and a Saturday night lol. I had a blast regardless and the food was just flat out amazing
J ai réservé la table à 21 h on a attendu 1h 15
Service débordé 900 couverts au lieu de 400 selon le serveur
Juste sur booking incroyable cash machine et le reste pas grave
Nourriture rien d exceptionnel juste branché
We had a 9pm reservation. Hostess told us to wait that she would sit us in a few. 1h later nothing. She was allowing others that were arriving after and without a reservation to be sit prior to get us a table. At least Alex (one of the maître d') was amazing.
It was extremely crowded, as to be expected. We were seated and server took forever to greet us and even longer to bring water. And one menu for a party of 3. The food was all over cooked. My duck was beyond crispy and tough. They carried a table in over our heads and then moved our table to make room for a bigger party. Very tacky. I've never had this experience at any of the locations I've visited. I will no longer patronize this restaurant.
Food is the best. Super fun during ABMB
I wait 1 hour for the table, incredible
Complete disaster. Waste of time and money. Run from this tourist trap. I get it’s Art Basel and it’s busy. Bit it’s like the 15th art show. You’ve done this before.
Seated at 8:40 for an 8:30 - that’s a plus given the 4 staff standing around trying to learn your reservation/seating system. Does it take a PhD? Then. 1.75 hours until our appetizers were served. We’re told it’s because there is a “back up” at the deep fryer. Really? $35 for average entrees. Buy another deep fryer. Another 30 for the basic nothing special $45 entrees. They did buy 2 rounds of drinks and free desserts. But basic good food and service would have been better.
Wow, I have never seen such attentive service. Go here!!
The service was outstanding! It was the best experience I had at a restaurant that weekend.
Continues to be a great restaurant...we'll be back soon.
Its very very overpriced Chinese food. You are paying for the service and ambience. They do have a few modifications to traditional Chinese food but most is pretty much the same. Do not order the fried sliced thin meat. There is absolutely no meat on them and Tastes like fried nothing. The drinks are good but still very overpriced. Will not come back again unless someone else is paying the bill.
always excellent Brian is the best.
We always feel at home here. The staff is the best and the food is delicious
I have not visited other outposts of this restaurant so had no idea what to expect going in other than gourmet sichuan / cantonese food. If first impressions are everything, every visitor should expect to be overwhelmed by the sheer number of captains / waiters / servers / etc. at Mr Chows; the overly solicitous service at the outset becomes borderline overbearing as the meal progresses. Example: I experienced two such occasions where I was approached to remove my not-yet-empty glass DIRECTLY FROM MY HAND. The first time I attempted to laugh it off in front of my 12 year-old daughter; the second time I am afraid my frustration at this got the better of me. The immediacy of everything results in the diner feeling rushed and on edge, diminishing the overall joy of the dining experience.
So onto the food: in my wildest dreams I still don't understand how my 12 year-old daughter and me were charged $84 per person for what we consumed that night. Her pork dumplings (water dumplings) were not better in quantity or quality than what you'd be served at any chinese restaurant anywhere - and her steak entree was served on a plate smaller than an average salad plate, which sufficiently reflected the meager portion. My fried shrimp with candied walnuts - a "MUST try" according to the head waiter - were so deeply fried and heavily sauced they were indistinguishable as shrimp. And noteworthy, the plate of them was whisked away while I still had shrimp on my fork in order to make way for the main course which, in my case, was a very unremarkable garlic lobster, also heavily fried. To round out our "prix fixe greater value," according to the server, was a small pot of rice and a small plate of bok choy. Nearly $200 in food for 2 people...meager portions...average at best food. Still can't quite wrap my brain around this.
For those of you who are visiting Miami Beach and/or staying in house at the W Hotel, save your money and dine elsewhere. Lots of other choices!
Amazing food & service but a bit too noisy (chatter).
From the minute we arrived we were made to feel like celebrities - especially appreciated by my college age daughter and friends! So much fun!
Impecable. One of the best restaurants I've ever been too in my life. The Beijing Duck menu is marvelous. Like nothing i've ever tried. Worth the value.
The hostess could have definitely been more welcoming. But the service beyond her, was wonderful, food was delicious and the staff amazing and warm. Can’t wait to go again.
The food and service were both excellent. This has been our experience in the past as well. It is a fun atmosphere even when not crowded because they do a great job of placing people at tables. The food is delicious and they are really helpful with recommendations so that you choose the perfect meal.
Outstanding food in a very nice, formal yet casual setting. Immediately upon being seated, my wife and I were tended to by 3-4 wait staff - nice, and bit overwhelming. we had the squab lettuce wraps, pot-stickers, fried beef, and sweet & sour chicken - all were quite good.
They also mix a great Manhattan.
Service level was a 10.....staff was amazing and the food couldn’t have been better! If you are looking for all around 10’s, this is the place !
Food was good, the staff were great but far too many tables in the place. Practically sitting on top of each other.
Great service. The waiters were knowledgeable and always close by.
To expensive for you get
Excellent food coupled with superb first rate service, a winning formula!
Great food and service
A little too expensive for a five star rating
Very good food, elegant ambience and attentive service. It is a bit noisy for this kind of a classy restaurant. All in, It is a awesome place to go.
Excellent service and food, as always!
The customer service is on another level!
Service was excellent, food needs some help...
Food was ordinary not worth the price paid!
Service was impeccable and food was even better! Highly recommended!! Will be dining again very soon.
