Pretty bad food for a very high price, would not eat here again.
I keep coming back for that delicious gambler's duck. I've been craving this dish - It's very popular in the UK but so difficult to find in the US. I was thrilled to find this place just steps from my office. As long as they keep serving the crispy duck, I'll keep coming back for more.
The dumplings, walnut shrimp, green beans, bok choy, fried rice, and other dishes are good quality as well.
Never disappointed there. Love it love Xoxoxoxoxoxox
My 15 pound Frenchie probably eats more than there 100$ meal... not kidding
Needless to say, this restaurant stands out as one of the premier restaurants in BEVERLY Hills, and for good reason. The food is consistently great. The servers are knowledgeable and friendly. Service is impeccable, and the cocktail are shaken with consistency. Tables are tight, but but does not interfere with your dining experience.
Disappointing food, drinks and service. Not to mention, expensive. I think my days of eating at Mr. Chow have finally come to an end.
There's so many "it" places in Beverly Hills that maintain the highest standards and are a must go to for locals and visitors. They value their customers and provide a great dinning experience even through there's a line out the door. Then there are the places that make you wait long past your reservation time, ignore you, rush you with poor service and lackluster food, cram you in uncomfortable space and deliver an awful experience. The latter is Mr. Chow. This location gives a bad name to the other Mr. Chow's. Not the same experience. Pass.
Outstanding meal with creativity and served in a very professional manner. Food was simply outstanding. Squid ink pasta was incredible. Green prawns were superb and the Ma Mignon to die for. A tad pricy but indulge. If you can’t spoil yourself what’s the point. A definite excellent recommendation.
The service was excellent, the food was ok, we did not care much for the ribs and pasta. Overall great experience.
You can never go wrong with this place
The food was so bland...chicken satay was a thumbs down..then two chicken entrees that totaled $200 which was even more disgusting...never again
The experience was absolutely unique. The Service, The wine, The Food ... Everything was beyond perfect. We had an unforgetable dinner experience and would Come back any Time. Two of The waiters have Been working for The Restaurant since it’s opening in 1974 and One of them was serving us. It was a real pleasure.
your sunday night comfort food, with amazing service and sitting next to celebrities! must go if you are in LA!
The food was amazing!! We had an array of the menu. My wife loved it all!! A must if you get a chance.
Was really busy had to wait for table . Noisy and tables cramped together . Felt rushed the whole time as if they were just trying to use table for as many covers as possible . Have had better food .
Love Mr Chow! One of my all time favorites. Delicious food. Could come here every day!
They become very cheap I can’t forget when the server came to me after I paid and said you have to pay 27% tip for us ( which i paid little less without telling me ) never ever go again to those cheap people.
This place is so amazing the food is always the best if I can go to Mr. Chow every week I would this place is just amazing the service is in amazing You do not have to be a celebrity to be treated like one at this place everyone gets the same good treatment
Poorly prepared food served cold
Delicious food with great ambiance, and the best service
Worse than in Miami and London because food was cold. Runners not doing their job.
Met all expectations. Follow @eatvegan
Food was lukewarm, service was slow, experience was lackluster (especially compared to our past experiences at the Vegas location).
Service was great, and a lovely location the food was a let down.
Very bland tasting, hard rice, and soup tasted like it needed some salt and black pepper!
Lychee Martin was lovely!
Mr Chow has historically been a hotspot in Beverly Hills. Now it is a NOT spot in Beverly Hills. The food was bland, overpriced, and unoriginal. This was a one and done. We thought we needed to go to Mr. Chow given its history, but it should be history. It was just a bad experience and way overpriced for what it is now. This needs a complete overhaul inside and out.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY! If you think you have a chance to see a star there, think again. I bet they haven’t gone in many years. Move on.
The rating on this site and yelp were correct. Food was just okay, service was pretty good, menu options were okay. Very small restaurant. Where we sat, we had to have the waiter pull the table out in order to get up out of our seat. I was not impressed with the decor of this establishment or the menu items. I'm still trying to figure out why this is such a "Desired" spot in Beverly Hills. I guess since several celebrities have dinned here??? I don't see why because there are sooooo many other/better options in terms of quality and selection of food. I would find it hard to recommend Mr. Chow
Our first time at Mr. Chow. We were not aware that it was family style dining but that turned out to be a bonus because we got so many selections to share. Everything was delicious and the service was impeccable. We had a great time and will definitely plan to dine at Mr. Chow again!
Peking duck was exceptional
Amazing food! Want to try everything on the menu!
Absolutely wonderful as always. Best food in town.
Love love Mr Chow. Will return again and again. I love the atmosphere, but the food is incredible and the staff amazing. Always, my go to, when in town.
Great place great service my fav place to go to while me in my family or in LA..
Looks like it’s trying to create buzz, but it’s just not that cool and poorly run. Needlessly bad customer service, couldn’t seat us for a half hour past our reservation. Got the bill wrong.. the one bright spot was the Eastern European bar tender tried to keep people happy as they waited.. alone he served an incredible number of people and kept them happy.
The Captain and the wait staff were wonderfully informed and helpful. We enjoyed a leisurely lunch and conversation using quiet voices. It was very pleasant. The food was delicious and presented beautifully. We were never rushed. This was an afternoon to "catch up" and the restaurant was welcoming.
Everything was amazing here the ambiance, food, service etc ..... They greet you from the moment you walk in til the time you leave. I highly recommend Mr Chow , small menu but great overall experience .......
Had a phenomenal experience with my best friend. The service was outstanding.
I felt rushed.. service was great but it was obvious that they were in the business of turning tables.
We have eaten at Mr. Chow's many times, here and in other locations. Usually, it is fabulous but this time it was a bit disappointing. On the good side, the drinks were great but a bit pricey. The bartender, from the Czech Republic, was personable and friendly. In fact, all of the staff was personable and friendly. The service was great. So was the Mr. Chow's noodles and the Peking Duck. The fish dish was also quite good. But alas, the shrimp, still in the shell, was chewy and tough and the crab dish was, well, totally tasteless. We argued whether they forgot an ingredient or it was just bad. The other dishes, like the lettuce wraps and the shumai, were not bad but defiinitely not memorable and not worth going out of your way for. Maybe it was an off night or maybe the competition for good food in LA has gotten to the point that Mr. Chow's no longer stands out.
It was nice.
Mr. Chow is consistent year after year. If you love sitting really close to people, it's quite fun. There are other options allowing more space. The food is a bit pricey but always delicious.
