Love this place! Staff, food, ambiance top notch. Came here for Chinese New Year. Didn’t disappoint! Beijing duck (Peking) is the feature.
Outstanding and made to feel like a King
The food from P.F. Chang’s is better than this place and it’s over priced.
The appetizers were okay but the main courses saved the night. Nice experience although it’s pricey.
We waited an hour to be seated which is ridiculous when you already have a reservation. Other than that it was an ok experience. The food was amazing.
Arrived at 7:45 for our reservation. By 8:30 still not seated with no indication from the hostess as to when our table would be available. Interestingly they were still accepting reservations on Opentable for 8:30 when those of us who arrived earlier 7:45 8:00 8:15 were not seated. Very disappointing. We gave up and left to have a nice dinner at Ocean Prime.
Way too expensive. The crowd was not the kind of people I cared to be around Never going back. Food overly fried and soggy
Overrated. Food is the equivalent of going to a very good Chinese restaurant. Not an elevated high class dinner, and definitely not worth the price you pay. Can have an entire meal that is just as good from a Chinese restaurant for the price of one appetizer.
We thought the food was incredibly good, and with a reservation ahead of time waited only a very short time. While the service team performed well generally, we were disappointed with the lead server. She seemed distracted and was not as attentive as she should have been. She also talked too much about a bad YELP review she had received - clearly bothered and offended by it - and apparently felt the need to justify the prior patrons' "error" to us. That awkwardness, along with the need to remind the staff of an order for a second bottle of wine, delivered a less-than-perfect experience.
We thoroughly enjoyed each others' company and on balance had a great evening. I expected better for the amount we spent though.
GREEN PRAWNS 👍🏽
First visit, and I will absolutely return. The food was VERY good. Every single human being we encountered working there was incredibly lovely and authentic. We had a fairly noisy spot, but it was a fair trade to be in a comfy leather booth cornered away from the main dining. It was an evening catching up with a dear friend from out of town, and it turns out Mr. Chow was a brilliant choice. Thank you all. See you soon. Xoxox
We waited 45 minutes to be seated
We had a great time! The food was terrific
Always great! Never disappoints!!
Very small portions, very expensive, but iconic, so you must go. Very tall woman who sat us/waited on us(?) couldn't even be bothered to look at us while talking, she was completely turned the other way while telling us to enjoy our meal. No eye contact, no interest in us whatsoever. Rather comical. I thought I was in a movie about L.A. The back of the house staff were the ones taking care of us, and they were very kind and quick with their service.
Maybe for a once in a lifetime experience - but definitely not worth the money on a regular basis. VERY expensive for what it was and the food quality.
Great for fun date vibe or fun group. Food is above average but in comparison to other places with an upbeat atmosphere, the prices are steep. Okay martinis, coming from an olive snob. Overall, cool one time.
Still the absolute place food and scene in LA and has been for many years. we are regulars and still love each visit. Great team from Chris, Scott & all the staff.
Outstanding as always!!
Very good but expensive
The service was abysmal. The principal server's explanation of the menu was confusing and very incomplete. He told us that everything is served family style, which was fine with us. But when he took our order, he did not tell us that all of our choices were appetizer sized. (And after taking our order, he did not return to our table for the rest of the evening. He had no interest in finding out how we were doing, or if we were enjoying the meal.) We were a table of six, and ordered from both the top and the bottom of the menu, thinking that the dishes listed in the lower half of the menu would be full-size entree courses, enough to allow every person at the table to have a portion. It turned out that every dish we ordered was served on a tiny plate, sufficient for two or three persons to share, but not enough for six. The food is very good, but vastly overpriced for the size of the portions. We've eaten many times at Mr Chow over the years, but I doubt that we will be back.
Cool place, busy.
Food a bit bland. Service was AMAZING,
Did not get seated until 4mins after reservation time. Peking duck was dripping with oil/grease and skin was burned. Two orders never arrived. They are very carried away with their popularity to the detriment of quality.
Mr chow used to be one of the best Chinese restaurants. But not anymore
Food is poor quality and pretty bad
Amazing!! Everything was great
Get the duck. The DUCK! Omg it was so good.
Lovely Christmas Eve dinner
Terrible. Noisy. Tables to close together. Turn and burn service. Constantly hit by people passing behind chair.
My last visit was pretty disappointing. They brought all the food together (appetizers, meat, duck, etc) literally along with the (hand cleaning bowl) it’s like they’re telling you to hurry and get the hell out. As one of my fav Restaurants in the past i was pretty disappointed.
I even told the server to hold off on the duck because they just brought everything else. He said it will get cold so he can’t do that. Cmon guys!
Not much to tell. I love this place. Always consistently good.
Great service, flavorful food, see and be seen. Staff and guests are entertaining
Awesome location and great people. Not really traditional Chinese at all more "American Chinese" but the Duck was outstanding.
food great, prices OUTRAGEOUS. little appetizer skewers were $12/EACH!!! this restaurant needs a reality check....they were quite empty for a Sunday evening.
Simply extraordinary. We let our waiter plan the meal finishing with the duck!!
Would recommend as an experience, but certainly not for the food. Rather bland and grossly overpriced, even for Beverly Hills.
It was wonderful! From the bar staff to each dish. The perfect date night
I can’t say enough about the food. It was phenomenal! Service was a little slow but not a big deal. Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent as always 🥂
Always exceptional - I have eaten here for over 40 years and the quality, service and fun value has never wavered from excellent.
