Great food as always
With the fame of the restaurant, I was expecting a lot better food and service. For vegetarians there were very few options and very little ability to modify food. The service was terrible. They would forget about our table for 20-30 minutes at a time. They also incorrectly presented our food.
I loved it! My family loved it and my niece ate it and she eats nothing.
Food and service were outstanding
Amazing as always!!!
Amazing food, amazing vibes! Bartender and waiter were super nice to my son and I. Definitely will be coming back!
My daughter and I had the best experience eating here Friday night. Everyone was so nice and friendly. The food was amazing. Service was even better. We asked for whatever they suggested and it did not disappoint! Will definitely be back next time in LA.
When you see the location, decor, price and crowd you assume this is an LA hotspot. I will never go back here and neither should you. The food is so ordinary I don't understand how and why people go here. LA is full of great food options, and this place was just bland and ordinary. Service staff were friendly but clearly understaffed and unprepared for a full house, we had to share a menu between 2.
Food was terrible. PF Chang’s blows this place away. What a waste of money! What happened to this place?
Amazing food! The ambiance was nice but I felt crowded as more people sat to dine. The waiters customer service was great however he seemed a bit forceful with the menu selections and assumed he knew what my guest and I would order. He made statements like “ I know all people and what they would order, I know you’d like this.” I felt like I was an A list celebrity when I first walked in because they were all lined up to greet us as we entered the restaurant. I’d definitely return to this restaurant.
The food was good but the service was beyond slow. It took forever to order beverages and then half of our table didn't receive their drinks until we were 75% of the way through our meal. For the prices and location... the service should have been far better.
While the food was good I cannot get over the fact that I felt like we were haggling with the waitstaff. They kept on pushing items. They continuously poured water and asked if we wanted more bottles.
We ordered a la carte, yet the waiter decided best to give us the duck menu for each of our guests at $85 a head. When the fish showed up (which we had not ordered,) is when we found out that the waitstaff was just bringing whatever they wanted to the table. At that point the head of the table asked him to take away the fish and stop bringing items we had not ordered. The waiter smiled and said “Okay” before turning to me and asking me if I wanted more beef. It was exhausting and surreal. Never again. Highly recommend you avoid Mr. Chow under the current management and waitstaff.
Too expensive and very noisy environment. Not recommending this. Overpriced for what it is. Avoid if you can!
Excellent as usual! Love coming to Mr Chow. The food is awesome, the service is consistently great and it’s always a fun evening. My only complaint is that you don’t have a location in Dallas :-)
Extremely disappointing experience :(. my wife and I went there to celebrate our friend’s engagement. The waiter brought us a whole duck when we only ordered the a la cartel version. We explained that it was a mistake. The waiter called us all liars and brought the manager, Christopher Denton. He also called us liars, even though he wasn’t even there when the food order was taken. That said, they stopped servicing the table and casually walked by dropping the check off. They charged us $344 plus tax for a duck we didn’t order and didn’t eat. We were pretty alarmed by their rudeness and refused to pay for it. They called the Beverly Hill Police and threatened to arrest us if we wouldn’t pay. We were appalled by the extreme embarrassment and disrespectful behavior of Mr. Chow. We decided to pay with the Amex card and dispute the charges. This restaurant has gone down hill big time , there are many better places in the area that won’t call the police over an order mistake. That type of low-class behavior brought Mr. Chow to the trash.
Service and food were outstanding!
We went here because it seemed to get good ratings and wanted to experience “Mr. Chow”, but unfortunately we did not experience any of that. We arrived on a Monday night exactly on time for our 8 pm reservations but weren’t seated until 8:30pm. We then had to ask twice to see menus... the tables were smushed so close together we were practically sitting on our neighbor’’s lap.. the noise was also extremely loud that you could barely hear what the person across from you was saying... the food was also not very good. Portions were ridiculously small for the price... we ordered Mr Chow’s noodles which were extremely bland. We also ordered the pork and sweet potatoes and the pork pieces were 90% fat!!!! The filet mignon was just passable and the shrimp roll was just okay... Do not go here and waste your money!! Go somewhere else!!
Amazing food - trust the waiter for an assortment family style to get a taste of the delicious food !
Good though waiters push more food then desired
And the music is so loud that conversation is difficolt
But is always fun
The service was very aggressive and felt like everything was an upsell. They really wanted us to buy a combo deal instead we wanted to just choose the dishes we wanted. At one point they brought us a glass of wine as a refill without us even asking. They seemed to want to rush us through dinner.
Excellent food and service. Every dish is special . Chris is the best.
Vey expensive for below average food. You pay for eating at Mr. Chow’s. Small portions at crazy prices
. Nothing special about the food. Would not recommend or go ever again.
Great! Always receive the best service!
The place is def overrated. Inside ambience is poor, the food is so mediocre. The service was ok but only ok.
They seemed overbooked. Had to stand around for about 20 min after the reservation time. To be fair, there were a lot of graduation dinners going on.
Food is top notch other than the ribs were a little on the dry side that night. Service was good and over all a classy dinning experience. Don’t go here if you are worried about price although there are many reasonable options. I will go back again.
The food is always delicious and the staff attentive as it should be for a fine dining establishment. I’ve been coming here for 35 years and still get excited when I walk through the door.
Great place to do lunch. The prawn with glazed pecans is my favorite. This is def not a place to dine solo, however. They sit singles in the middle to highlight their shame, I guess. I would have preferred a roundtable on either side. Next time, I'll request it. Otherwise, enjoyable.
I have been a fan and a customer of Mr. Chow’s for nearly 20 years. Although certain dishes are classics, the food and plating quality seems to be in decline.
Great experience. The service was thorough. Appreciate the celebrity advice. Great experience will be back in the next trip. Food was tasty and the right portion size.
We loved Mr. Chow except we had to wait a half hour to be seated even though we had a reservation. Other than that, we loved it!
The appetizers were AMAZING, while only half of the Entrees were appeasing. The Service was impeccable, never going to forget it.
Food was delicious. But the glass of champagne poured at the table was flat. And despite a couple of notices (at booking and at confirmation) of birthdays, desserts were served with no candles. When I reminded the waiter, he brought out two more desserts with candles and charged us for the additional desserts. Disappointing.
We have been going to Mr Chows fit 14 years and lived every minute of it but our last visit was a Saturday night and the music was sooooooo louse that we found it really hard to have a conversation.
I was disappointed!
Always great food Great service
Excelente servicio y comida
The moment we walked into the restaurant, everyone was absolutely wonderful! The maitre d, wait staff, bussers, everyone!! We were even comped champagne! Little did they know it was our 22nd wedding anniversary! The food was equally excellent! The server surprised us with our main entrees, and he did not disappoint! We've experienced Mr. Chow's in the past, but this time was by far the best!! Thank you Mr. Chows!!
Amazing food, service and atmosphere. One of our best meals in LA and we will come again!
Fantastic food & ambiance!
