Would recommend as an experience, but certainly not for the food. Rather bland and grossly overpriced, even for Beverly Hills.
It was wonderful! From the bar staff to each dish. The perfect date night
I can’t say enough about the food. It was phenomenal! Service was a little slow but not a big deal. Can’t wait to go back!
Excellent as always 🥂
Great food and service!
The best experience
Outstanding service and excellent cocktails. It’s all about the ambiance and the fact that Mr Chow is iconic and always will be!
This was a great spot with wonderful food! My wife and I enjoyed every dish and also some great wine! The people are great and made us feel very welcome.
We’ll definitely be back on our next trip to California!
Delectable cuisine! Some Star gazing may happen at any moment while seated cozily with family and friends. Our evening included Sean Penn and a sweet young thing, Ozzy, Sharon,Jack and Kelly along with their family and friends. Always fabulous.... each and every time!
I took my son there for his 21st birthday and it was absolutely amazing! From the moment we walked in till when we left we felt like we were giving first class service the entire time! The service and the waiters were excellent and the food was extraordinary!
The pecking duck was not good at all and everything wasn’t good as it’s so posed to be.
Food was delicious but the restaurant felt dated. Not the fancy place it once was. Wait staff was nice but slow.
Had a reservation at and was seated after 8:30pm. Was seated with no menus. It was our first and last time going. This was on my bucket list but I was not impressed at all.
I was celebrating my birthday on 11/16/19 which I had included in my reservation details. I allowed the waiter to select dishes for me after informing him that I’m a pescatarian. Most of the food was warm but not hot. The meal included a lobster that was a little overcooked. At the end of my dinner, I was presented the bill but I had to remind the wait staff that it was my birthday. They rushed to get me a slice a cake and sing a rushed version of Happy Birthday. When I came in November 2017, it was a much better experience.
I still love the restaurant and will be back (from Baltimore) for my birthday in November 2020.
My son chose Mr. Chow for his 25th bday. We were both looking forward to the experience. Since it’s a staple in BH we heard many things. Good and not so good.
The experience was one of the most exceptional dining experiences I have ever had. And I have eaten all over the world. The moment we walked in we were treated like someone special. They knew it wa my sons bday and we were greeted with a big happy Birthday wish. Didnt even have time to finish my cocktail at the bar before we were whisked off to our table. We were taken care of like we had been there a million times. It was exceptional on every level. I can’t rave enough. I hope everyone has this experience there. Because it was amazing.
I understand why they have lasted so long. It’s dining at it finest.
Simply awesome! Food and drinks were beyond our palate expectations.
The food still amazing, been here before as well as the one in NY. Service however, was really bad. We are a family of 7, from the moment the Waiter (blond white jacket) introduce himself forcing us to have the family style menu, to the end of the meal, he was mean, barely went to the table, didn’t even look at us even when passing by. I don’t know if it was cause we were Mexicans, not famous, had two kids 12 years old, or the fact we did not consume alcohol, but it was really sad to have this kind of behavior on a first class restaurante. I do own two restaurantes in Los Cabos Mexico and I would not have someone like him work in a place that requires people skills. Is too bad cause he made our experience really awful. Too bad cause the food is amazing, but service has to meet the quality too.
The food overall was really good. The waiter was very pushy and coerced us into getting dishes he would pick. An over abundance of food came out,$$$, and couldn’t finish it all. They cleared the table w/o asking if we’d like to take the food home, so never got our leftovers, which was a lot. The bill was a fortune for 4 people, w 2 bottles of wine, but was mostly bothered that they took all our food off the table w/o bagging it to go and that the waiter was just going through the motions and didn’t make us feel special.
Great place to relax and enjoy the company of friends with occasional celebrity to increase ambiance. Earlier dining is best for service and later is best for people watching
The food was excellent and out of this world. The food is very tasty! The customer service is great, they take good care of you there. They are very attentive!! Money well spent. Mr Chow’s will NOT disappoint!!!! All around 5 star dining. I will go back to Mr. Chow’s!
Second night in a row! Always a must when in town.
My second time there, food was at best average and service same.
The service was great and so was the food. We had the server choose our menu and he didn’t steer us on the wrong direction. So so so good!
Great as always, prompt service and your usual celebs present!
Food was not like before
Unfortunately it was one of the worst meals at Mr. Chow’s. We went to celebrate my birthday but received no acknowledgment throughout the dining experience. Seating was delayed. After we were seated we were not provided with menus or even drink options until at least 15 minutes passed. We had to get the attention of our head server on two different occasions. When he arrived he assumed we had never dined there before and presumptively gave us suggestions of what to order without asking for any dining preferences or food allergies. Ultimately I believe he also up charged us by exchanging our placed order with a multiple course dinner for two. No bueno...
Overall, it was a good experience. The food was good and the service was pretty good.
Great place to eat and the service is excellent. My only complaint is that the place is very small inside. We had a group of 10 and were placed in the corner. It was a nightmare trying to let people pass so they could get to the restroom.
The meal it self was great but the first experience of having to wait 45 minutes to get seated even though we had a reservation, was quite disappointing. Don’t plan on coming back and experiencing that again
Quality of the food never as it used to be.
Perfect in every way possible
Such amazing food quality. Absolutely the best Chinese food we have ever eaten. This is a must-go spot when in the LA area.
The food is the best. So is the service. Shrimp with walnuts is my favorite. Meet with oyster sauce is highly recommended. The place is nice and cool. Great to go with friends or on a date.
Very poor Asian food
I arrived with 8 business colleagues from a conference for a nice dinner. Our table was ready, and we were greeted warmly before sitting- all the staff was so nice and accommodating, and their timing was impeccable.. one server thought a guest didn’t like their drink because she wasn’t drinking it, and gently offered to replace it, but she was just busy talking with the group! So sweet. The food was AMAZING, and all the items brought to the table were all great. The fact that Elton John was also dining quietly in a nearby corner - let us know we were in the right place! (P.S, everyone left Elton alone to enjoy his meal and company and didn’t bother him...high respect) I would gather a group of friends there for any occasion! Thank you Mr. Chow!
the best meal of our trip!
Table for 8 very small but food is the best
Portions were super small. Spent $275 and left hungry. Food was delicious but portions were not appropriate for cost.
Dinner amazing, interesting people, but it needs an update on the decor.
