Food honestly is not good, especially for the price. It’s a scene so if you like that go for it.
Attention to the details are very important. My wife and I each ordered a main and a side, they charged for 2 bowls of rice and 2 steamed vegetables although we only had 1 of each. There excuse was it’s a minimum of 2 of each although we o my got 1 of each. It was simple for me NO TIP!! Wouldn’t go back very misleading.
Stunning restaurant with unbelievable service standard. These guys know how to run a restaurant. So good we went two days in a row!!
Not your typical neighborhood Chinese food restaurant. Food is a little cleaner (lighter not so heavy) and the restaurant is upscale. Expensive - but then the neighborhood is expensive too.
Definitely overpriced for the food, but so fun! Great for a celebration!
Incredibly busy restaurant, but very friendly staff. Food was excellent! I'd recommend it to anyone who doesn't mind a crowd and some noise.
I've never written a review for a restaurant, but my recent experience dining at Mr. Chow was so horrible, I feel compelled to say something. I had dined at this location over 10 years ago and the experience has entirely changed. At our recent meal, the service was completely erratic -- at least four different waiters in a flurry coming to our table at confusing times -- the food inedible (dumplings tasted as if they had been frozen, defrosted, then panfried), scallion pancakes tasted of undercooked donut pastry, and soup dumplings contained no soup, but instead a stiff miscellaneous filling attributed to pork (or at least we believe it was pork) -- and the surrounding environment was incredibly... strange. Loud music, furniture moving above our heads, food getting thrown down at our table in a messy rush on old faded plates and silver. All of this was so disappointing as what was once a posh environment for a sophisticated meal has turned into a frenzied night club of defrosted dumplings over loud music and expensive cocktails. Clearly this is a case of a once successful restaurant getting by on the coat-tails of what it once was. Do not go here.
we had Peking Duck for six people. Inexplicable it came with so many appetizers -none of them very good- it was hard to imagine how we would eat out duck.
The Duck was sliced as if my a hatchet- the fat was not rendered nor were there slices of crispy skin. What a total disappointment especially because of the rave reviews
The attention was exceptional!!!
Everything was spectacular
Mr Chow is consistent all over the world and never disappoints!
Fixed menu, far too many tables, gave me the impression of being in an overly expensive Chinese take away
Visiting NYC for the first time and booked in to Mr Chow for valentines, the ambiance was fabulous and the food was outstanding. Although it was a set menu for valentines it did not disappoint. The mood was happy and the waiters and service was impeccable.
Great place very elegant and professional employees made us feel very comfortable
There was no mention of pre fix menu when we made reservations. So ended up having very limited vegetarian food.
