MR CHOW - 57th
The menu at MR CHOW is a combination of old authentic Beijing, Original Recipes, and the signature dishes such as Chicken Satay, MR CHOW Noodles, and Ma Mignon. MR CHOW also serves one of the best Beijing Ducks in the world.
The famous nightly handmade noodle show is presented in every location since the opening of London in 1968.

Overall excellent from the food to the seating and staff
Every dish was fantastic, service was great but the Peking Duck is the best in Manhattan!!
Excellent experience. Superb service
Avoid. A place for lost tourists with mediocre food. Too loud, run down, and overpriced for the quality.
Always a good experience at Mr. Chow
Outstanding food and service! Such a fun place for a celebration dinner! NYE was amazing!
Lovely play, loud-busy-“snooty”. Food was ok- small portions of the price. Lobster was a lot of mush a little meat.
The food is incredible, but the prices are way too ridicilous. I paid $210 for vegetables only (I am a vegetarian). They bring out 2 portions of everything w/o telling you which means that you’re paying double of whatever you order. This place is a rip off.
O had gone many years before and came to the city for the New Year wanted to go and have dinner as before. I found that the quality and quantity for your money was excessive and not as satisfying . The service thou was excellent that has not changed.
Very overpriced restaurant for average Chinese food. Better to go to china town
Always wonderful from the food to the experience overall. One of my most favorite NYC restaurants. This restaurant is sophisticated but service is warm and personalized. The Mr Chow noodle making demonstration never gets old!
Great restaurant! Went to the Miami location as well, quality of food was much better over there but it was good here as well considering the crowd and time of year. Service was good but could of been better. Hardly ever saw my waiter, but coverall was good
Service was great, food was good, but way overpriced! Checked off our list...
We had a lovely dinner at Mr. Chow. Service has been perfect and noodles just amazing.
Had a wonderful night Christmas Eve. Service was fabulous. Attentive and kind. Looking forward to returning.
The service was great; atmosphere second to none. I recommend this place for any special occasion.
Sooo Fabulous, have wanted to visit for many years. Did not disappoint 10 outta 10!
Food great. Waited 45 minutes for the table. And defying what you would expect from a restaurant at this price point, the menus are laminated as if it were a fast food restaurant. Worse, I told the captain and she couldn’t care less.
So yummy! And even though it is on the pricier side, they give you so much food!
It was our first time at Mr. Chow’s for our son’s 21st birthday and definitely not our last. The staff was very professional and really catered to our needs. Food and drinks exceeded our expectation. Thank you to the staff for making our son’s birthday so memorable!
We had a great evening! We were given a warm welcome and great service in a nice ambiance. The food was delicious. It has definitely been a highlight during our short visit to NYC.
I don’t get the hype for this place. The food was average at best, certainly not worth $250 for three people (not even close!). Portions were small as well. The salt and pepper shrimp were fried in the shell which was odd, the scallion pancakes were dry (why was there no sauce?) and the velvet chicken was pretty flavorless. The crispy beef was good but more crispy than beef.
Service was decent but not great - I had to ask for a drinks menu. Restaurant is very crowded - there is no room between tables- so it was quite loud. Overall it wasn’t terrible but I wouldn’t come back - you can get better Chinese food at a fraction of the price at any number of places in NYC.
I love the relaxed feel of this place – like a comfortable dining room in a friends home. I definitely would return to try more dishes. The DUCK was amazing. Everyone loved the food.Service was well-timed and friendly, Best in town
It was good. Quality and quantity of food was good. Service was good, a little pushy to get us to order , had to tell them we weren't in a hurry and then they backed off. $500 for 4 of us including tip. Only 2 of us had a drink, one glass of wine each. Was it worth about $125 per person all in, no. Was worth about half of that. Glad we went but probably won't go again.
We were seated in a timely manner, the service by all was attentive and genuine, the food was delicious and it’s timing was perfect. Great dining experience.
Everything great. Only comment is I used open table and could not speak directly to the restaurant to get things pre set for my wife’s birthday
Annual Christmas dinner with friends
Mr. Chow on 57th isn't just a restaurant. It's an experience. I've gone to this establishment 20+ times and every time I go, not only is the food exceptional, but myself and whomever I am with are treated like family. Miguel who has been working there since my first dining experience goes above and beyond to make sure every single thing is perfect throughout the whole meal. Miguel and the staff want to make sure that everyone in the group goes home happy and full :). Could not ask for a better restaurant and experience.
This is hands down the most impressive service my hisband and I have EVER had. It was truly unreal. We were not finished with our plates our drinks for longer than two seconds before someone was clearing our dishes. Our table remained spotless the entire night and because the service wss so good, it made the food taste even better. We had the chicken satay, lobster shumai, prawns with walnuts, the fiery beef and the Dungeness Crab! What an experience! Id recommend to ANYONE the location on 57th in NYC. Thank you for making us feel like complete royalty!!!
Service was outstanding, the wait staff was prompt and professional. I loved the velvet chicken, it truly was velvety. But, (and this is a big but), most entrees were extremely over priced for the portion sizes. For $42, the velvet chicken should have fed at least 2 people. Especially, since the restaurant advertises "family style" dining. This small portion could not be shared.
For the first time in over 30 years, our service was substandard. First course was right away, and then a very, very long wait for the main course. Even then the fried rice didn’t show up till the meal was almost over. Nobody seemed to care about our table. Hope this is not a trend.
Horrible duck entre. The option of real duck was for three. Who goes to diner with three people. Why do you put that on the menu??
My family and I are world travelers and very foodies. We love to eat in fancy schmancy restaurant as much as eating at a hole in a wall type of thing.
Mr chow let me tell you how disappointed you were last night. From you rude wanna be James Bond server to your “ world famous chicken sate” it was a disaster. What do you make your chicken sate with? Doritos? Cheetos? Also, is there any sate in your chicken sate??
When it comes to rice? How do you cook it?? Do you boil it?? Because quiet honestly my 13 years old makes better rice in our rice cooker than you. Same thing for her chicken sate. 10 times better than your chicken Cheetos.
MR Chow have you lost your mind in “chow-business”?? I d love to invite you to our house and cook chicken sate and rice for you. I won’t even charge you...or maybe I will!!!
Shall I also mention that even the proper drink could not be brought to my wife...
The only great thing was the lady at the coat check!!
Terrible, overrated, and rude.
Thumbs down!! (I wish I had 4).
Day after thanksgiving. We arrived Ten minutes late already the hostess cancelled our open table reservation and then we got rudely scolded by the hostess telling us that if we were going to be late that we should call them.
Nice reception. Tables are not set up correctly so that anyone on the isle is constantly getting bumped by passers by both staff and customers.
Waiter wasn’t forthright with menu prices like the price of wonton soup (which is not listed on the menu). Even when I asked repeatedly what the price of the soup is he kept asking me what else was I going to order so that he could figure the price. This I found super strange. The service was very good. The food was super salty Borderline inedible. The bill came and I noticed they over charged us. I told waiter the correct prices listed on the menu and then 2 other waiters and then the manager all came over and tried to coerce me into accepting the charges that were higher. Finally they adjusted the prices to correct prices that were listed on the menu. I felt like I was getting shaken down in some foreign country. Never again. Check your watches if they shake your hand !
Le service et génial il vous conseille vraiment au mieux ❤️ parconte il sont trop insistant sur la consommation des boissons qu’il ne sont pas donner ...
Delicious, had crispy beef Beijing duck. Fabulous meal, great atmosphere!
Very good. But too laude.
Never disappoints! Food is consistently good, service always excellent, fun & energetic vibe. NYC staple.
