The menu at MR CHOW is a combination of old authentic Beijing, Original Recipes, and the signature dishes such as Chicken Satay, MR CHOW Noodles, and Ma Mignon. MR CHOW also serves one of the best Beijing Ducks in the world.
The famous nightly handmade noodle show is presented in every location since the opening of London in 1968.

Great crowd, excellent service, very decent food, very very tasteful deco, BUT: what a loud place. We Europeans like it a little more silent:-). Still: it was great to be there again!

Than you for having us, we had a great time except for some misunderstanding with our bill and my card was charge two times.. I think we should’ve gotten a discount or at least drinks on the house for the inconvenience. Overall food was great experience was excellent.

The food was good but pricey.
the duck we did not enjoy at all and that is supposed to be fabulous at mr chow.
Shun lees duck is much better and they wrap it for u.

One of the best restaurants in NYC. Love the squab and drunken fish and glass of champagne of course. Really great service, great ambiance, great everything.

Food was terrific, as always. The Peking Duck is a big favorite. Unluckily, we were seated at a table next to three children who couldn't sit still. They were then replaced by a woman and two men, who were very noisy and decided to whoop it up when the chef did the theatrical noodle making show. While the host was very pleasant and has a good sense of humor, the table service was a much less attentive and a bit sullen.
These things didn't spoil it for us. We will be back.

A virgin experience after awhile for me and my guest. We were both pleased with the cuisine. I expected a brighter decor, definitely not a white washed ceiling. The servers were attentive and through. It was an excellent experience and I intend to return.

The food is decent, but is significantly overpriced, with small portions. It's Restaurant Week, and unless your entire party wants to participate, no one can. It's the first restaurant that I've ever seen this at, and really limits your options. By doing this, you are forced to pay more for your food than if you had been allowed to eat from the Prix Fixe menu (the cost of 1 plate of food on the regular menu was the same as an appetizer, entree, and dessert from the Prix Fixe Menu). Because of this, we won't be back.

We had a reservation for 8pm. We were seated close to 8:45pm. The food came fast as the manager helped in that process however when the main course was being served a fish dish was sent out first and sat at our table for 10 minutes until the remainder of the food came out. Finally when the bill was presented we needed to complain to the manager for any favor to be provided for our terribly subpar experience. In addition, the manager made it feel as if because we were asking for it he’ll take off some dishes off the bill even though they don’t do that usually. We appreciate they did that however the experience was awful. I can’t say I can return in the future after how we were treated vs. the rest of the clientele in the restaurant.

Food was ok, tasty but nothing special. You can get it in every local Chinese. Poor service- We didn’t have a dedicated waiter/waitress but rather at least 5 different people came around which was very confusing and everyone was in the rush for us to leave. We got the appetizers less than 1 minute after we ordered them, they took my first plate while was still finishing my last rib, which was a starter. They also brought us the check while we were having our dessert before we asked for it, realizing this half way through when putting it on the table and looking at my face the waiter asked a bit ashamed if we want to have something else and i said no since he was that nice to bring the check already... bartender was nice and did a good martini but didn’t even bothered to ask how i want it to be made and what type of vodka i want. I had call him again and explain what I want...overall nice atmosphere, but overrated and overpriced Chinese with poor service

Restaurant was overbooked so they began to seat people in a room downstairs/in the basement level. Dining room was dark and cold. Food arrived extraordinarily late and cold. Also, annoyingly they did not bring out everyone’s entrees or appetizers together so each person had to eat wait for others or let their food turn into ice. Orders were taken incorrectly and delivered to the wrong tables. The party of four next to our party of four started complaining as well. The manager was apologetic and kind and did what he could, but the level of service in particular was substantially lower than what you would expect from a local McDonalds and especially a Chik Fil a. I’m baffled by the terrible experience we had given that I had fond memories of this restaurant based on past visits (although, admittedly, I had not dined here in about 3 years).

I hope that no one has to endure a similar experience.

Finally, and unbeknownst to our party, we came during restaurant week. We did not intend to, nor did we avail ourselves to the discounted menu (we ordered off the main menu). Had we known it was restaurant week we would have ordered seamless. Perhaps that accounts for some of the above. However, If participating in restaurant week is an excuse to drop the quality and level of service to such a terrible low then you shouldn’t participate in it.

Food was delicious, we had the private room and made lemonade out of lemons. Should have been told we were gonna be in the basement prior to arrival. Had to wait 45 min for table. As much as food was delicious, i think portions could have been bigger for the amount of people we had and the price. Manager made good and we ended up having a great time!

After much anticipation of dining at Mr. Chow's it was such a disappointment. We were seated promptly because we had a reservation. The waiter never asked us if we would like a drink and proceeded to say he would just bring out some food choices of his favorites. I specifically requested and told him I wanted the ink squid noodles and they were not brought out. We were a group of 5 women and one man. The waiter completely ignored any request from the women and only spoke to the male at the table. As we were all still eating the bus boys came and tried to take our plates as they tried to rush us in and out. I was hoping for a great meal and amazing food but all we got was disrespected with mediocre food in a very noisy atmosphere.
