Inspired by the idyllic Italian island of Capri, Mr. Capri brings the flavors of the surrounding coasts to New York City’s West Village. The 75-seat restaurant fulfills a lifelong dream of Capri-natives owner Alessandro “Ale” Passante and his brother Mario Passante, who serves as culinary director. The four Passante brothers grew up in Capri working at their family cafe and restaurant, where their mother was the chef, and their father was a local paparazzi and photographer. Specializing in regional cuisine from Capri, the restaurant offers seafood, pasta and seasonal dishes alongside a creative cocktail program and extensive wine list anchored on wines from Campania.

The decor by Studio Valerius will be bright and airy with nods to the legendary island beauty and decor elements imported from Capri.

Warm Italian hospitality and great energy! We started with Prosciutto e burrata fritta and Parmigiana di melanzane—both were absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with a glass of Nebbiolo. The special truffle gnocchi with mushrooms was outstanding, and the steak was beautifully cooked. Everything was flavorful and thoughtfully presented. Highly recommend!

This was a real find. The service was excellent, with very nice and accommodating staff. The food was excellent. We started with bruschetta and the margarita foccacia (which was enormous!) We went for Mother's Day, and sat out on the street. Will definitely be back.

This was my first time dining here. I had read prior reviews, and the menu and decided to try it. I have all good things to say about this place. It is understated, yet perfect for a quiet dinner in the dining room. The food was outstanding! The decor is very West Village classy, but not stuffy yet comfortable. The serving staff is welcoming and very accommodating, and several of the key players passed by our table to check if all was well. Mr. Capri is a hidden gem-- and one that you will be happy you experienced! We walked out of there smiling. You will too!

My wife and I and another couple had a great dinner at Mr Capri last night. Hadn't heard of the place... first time. Close to Cafe Wha. Had an awesome time. Great food, excellent drinks, courteous staff. Mario greeted us at the door, and could not have been nicer. Would definitely go back!!!!!

Great place. We were late but they were super accommodating. Nice martinis at the bar. Fantastic food. Charming service.

Best service and fantastic food. Place has lot to offer, wide menu variety with the option of also daily specials. Cocktails and wine list by the glass are also very interesting. We'll be back and defenitely spread the word to my friend and family: Mr Capri is a must try!!!
