We were on a tight timeline and had to get the last reservation at 8:45, plus 2 members of our party showed up at 9:00. We were not rushed at all and the service and food were wonderful. One of our favorite restaurants- so happy it is now in the Northshore.
Thanks for taking precautions with the dairy allergy we appreciate that
The wait staff was great - my medium rare steak was closer to medium and the salmon was a “touch” over cooked. The Calimari was delicious!
Lobster was awful couldn’t eat it and wagyu wasn’t much better
Great experience. A huge improvement versus many past visits.
The food is good but not great, especially considering the high prices. Friendly service.
The steak was over cooked and the service was not great.
We requested a quiet table as one in the party is hard of hearing. We were seated in a very quiet area and immediately were waited on. The service was fantastic and the food great. Kudos to Heather and Shawn for making the evening special.
Mu husband and I were disappointed in the value of what we were served. We had visited several times before the switch in business name to Mr. B's. We did not see a change in the atmosphere or wait staff, but the food was definitely overpriced. Only one crab cake served for appetizer. Steak was prepared well, but potato side dishes were not impressive for the cost. Having no soup or salad included in dinner was disappointing. Overall we did not feel the meal was worth what we paid. This was my 40th birthday dinner, was just not the same as Joey Girard.
Every time food is good, I know I will get a nice, flavorful, juice steak
The service was really great !
Amazing night. The waitstaff makes you feel like you are their only table. The food was delicious. Can't wait to come back for another visit.
Our waitress was awesome. I really liked that they have a “meat cart” they show you and tell you all about the meats they have on their menu so you know exactly what your options are.
Pleasant wait staff
The staff was very helpful with our dietary needs. The food was fabulous. It made our 38th wedding anniversary a true celebration. Thanks Mr. B's.
I’ll be back
My wife's birthday celebration with our family. We had a great dinner and a great time at this midweek celebration. We all had a great dinner and a great time. Service was excellent. We will be back.
The service was awesome, as usual. Great food too.
The food was good. I have dined at the Brookfield and now the Mequon locations. The professionalism of the service staff in Mequon was subpar for a $200+ evening for my wife and I. The bartenders were cursing, the waiter in Mequon is not in the same caliber as Brookfield, the bartenders were not engaging and were more interested in their own banter. I will not go back nor would I recommend this location to anyone.
Went to celebrate two birthdays. Received great service and two complimentary desserts of our choosing. Fantastic job by the Bartolotta group yet again!
Overall the food was very good, just a bit pricey, service and wait staff excellent. Steaks were amazing, perfectly done, great lobster, Caesar salad was overpowered by the anchovies. I love anchovies, but in this case there was no balance of flavors, almost inedible, but I didn't want to create a fuss.
Our waiter was helpful with the menu since we had never been here before. He recommended excellent choices. The mashed potatoes were AMAZING, and the entrees were cooked perfectly. Exquisite meal, perfect ambiance, and very nice dinner. We had a gift card to contribute which helped with the price. It is more expensive than our usual restaurant choices, but it is NOT the typical run-of-the-mill place. If you want a special dinner, this is a great place. They also have a points thing online which I will be looking into--just so we can go again and again! Definitely a place to take your wife or special friend. :)
Just as good as the original Mr B’s in Brookfield...Excellent food! steaks were great, but so was the fish. The Wait Staff was professional and efficient, but also very friendly. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.
Phenomenal steaks! Overall, this was one of my better business meals. Service and food was right on! Joey Gerard's at this location was one of my favorite restaurants, but this visit really has me liking Mr. B's!
The food was outstanding and reasonably priced. However, the bartender tried making my drink with rail booze, instead of what I called, and one of the waitresses that served us pointed me to the “cheaper wines” on the wine list, instead of letting make my decision on my own.
Excellent overall, , but pricey. If you know going in what it will cost, it might ease the sticker shock? Everyone loved it except my wallet.
We had a great meal and above-average service at Mr. B's. The only issue with the service is that there were long gaps at times (before dessert, waiting for check, etc.). The steak was fantastic and cooked to perfection. The seafood was equally tasty and with nice presentation - scallops, crab cakes, and S. African lobster tail. The steak-cut bacon appetizer was good, but overcooked (a bit dry and charred black in some places).
We were seated at a two-person table with tables on both sides of us, so our seat location was not intimate nor very private. Would like to try a different seat next time.
All in all, we highly recommend Mr. B's for a good meal.
Celebration of of being pregnant for my employee
This location seems to be a better fit that the Brookfield location for an intimate dinner setting. We enjoyed the meal and the service was outstanding. We will visit this restaurant again.
Mr. B’s never disappoints!
We had stopped coming to this location as Joey Gerard's a couple of years ago because we had three distinctly awful experiences at this location. I decided that now that it is a Mr. B and my husband really likes the one in BRK, we would give it a try for Valentine's Day. This location is good for us and is only a 25 minute drive vs. 45 minute + drive. Well, despite being a Hallmark Holiday, we were totally impressed with the service from the moment we entered and two folks immediately offered to hang our coats, to the host and hostesses, to the bar and the fabulous cocktails and best of all, our waiter - Christopher? and his sidekick - wow, we were impressed. Excellent wine selection, our entrees were fantastic. I'm not a red meat eater, and I was not let down by the seafood trio and beet salad. My husbands steak and potato pleased him which is a hard thing to do. Again, the waiter was a huge part of enjoying our meal and time in the space. Yeah, finally a restaurant we will be visiting often!
Very good steaks. Service was attentive and polite, although at times noticeably feigned. I had a minor concern with my food and when mentioned my issue was rapidly dismissed as unimportant. Overall, the food was very good, but not outstanding. I've had better meals elsewhere for similar price range. Hence, based only on one meal, I can't say this restaurant was a good value.
Service was amazing, food was amazing. Will defiantly be coming back.
The food was great!! the steaks melted in your mouth. Lump Crab was wonderful.
The plating was hilarious,or perhaps I should say non-existent. If you are going to plop a chunk of beef on a plate, at least center it. We spoke to people at neighboring tables and we were all laughing about it. If you want an example of how to plate steaks, refer to the Smith and Wollensky website.
Steaks were outstanding, as was the cheese cake. Wait staff were delightful. Service was slow as they appeared understaffed. Not that expensive for an upper level restaurant.
First time at Mr. B's since it changed from Joey Gerard's. We both had steaks...me the classic filet, my wife the prime filet. Both were excellent, but for the price I'd probably stay with the classic. The prime was more tender, but the classic was tender enough and there was really no difference in flavor. Sides were delicious (brussell sprouts, creamy spinach). Kid friendly venue as well. Our kids both had the mac&cheese. Best of all was the service. My standard for fine dining is Joe's Seafood in Chicago...bar none the best place I've ever experienced. The food might've been just a tick below, but the service at B's came close. I'll definitely be back.
Stopped in for Anniversary dinner and everything was fantastic.
My wife and I went to Mr. B's on a Sunday night and we were very pleased. We both had read some not so flattering reviews, but we had a great experience. Service was fantastic. The food was wonderful. Steaks were cooked perfectly. Love the crisp outside crust and very tender and flavorful. Caesar salad was a bit too salty. Outside of that, it was a great experience. We will be back. We were a bit nervous after the change from Joey Gerard's, but it beat our expectations by a lot.
Great service and outstanding food!
My husband and I were celebrating his birthday and our anniversary. When I made the reservation, I mentioned these special occasions. They had a card on the table mentioning the events and gave us their best wishes. Nice touch! We had two servers and they were great. Very attentive and they could answer questions I had about the menu selections. And we got a free glass of champagne and dessert! It's expensive, but we only do this once a year. It was very good and we'll be back some day.
