Just as good as the original Mr B’s in Brookfield...Excellent food! steaks were great, but so was the fish. The Wait Staff was professional and efficient, but also very friendly. Will definitely go back and highly recommend.
Phenomenal steaks! Overall, this was one of my better business meals. Service and food was right on! Joey Gerard's at this location was one of my favorite restaurants, but this visit really has me liking Mr. B's!
The food was outstanding and reasonably priced. However, the bartender tried making my drink with rail booze, instead of what I called, and one of the waitresses that served us pointed me to the “cheaper wines” on the wine list, instead of letting make my decision on my own.
Excellent overall, , but pricey. If you know going in what it will cost, it might ease the sticker shock? Everyone loved it except my wallet.
We had a great meal and above-average service at Mr. B's. The only issue with the service is that there were long gaps at times (before dessert, waiting for check, etc.). The steak was fantastic and cooked to perfection. The seafood was equally tasty and with nice presentation - scallops, crab cakes, and S. African lobster tail. The steak-cut bacon appetizer was good, but overcooked (a bit dry and charred black in some places).
We were seated at a two-person table with tables on both sides of us, so our seat location was not intimate nor very private. Would like to try a different seat next time.
All in all, we highly recommend Mr. B's for a good meal.
Celebration of of being pregnant for my employee
This location seems to be a better fit that the Brookfield location for an intimate dinner setting. We enjoyed the meal and the service was outstanding. We will visit this restaurant again.
Mr. B’s never disappoints!
We had stopped coming to this location as Joey Gerard's a couple of years ago because we had three distinctly awful experiences at this location. I decided that now that it is a Mr. B and my husband really likes the one in BRK, we would give it a try for Valentine's Day. This location is good for us and is only a 25 minute drive vs. 45 minute + drive. Well, despite being a Hallmark Holiday, we were totally impressed with the service from the moment we entered and two folks immediately offered to hang our coats, to the host and hostesses, to the bar and the fabulous cocktails and best of all, our waiter - Christopher? and his sidekick - wow, we were impressed. Excellent wine selection, our entrees were fantastic. I'm not a red meat eater, and I was not let down by the seafood trio and beet salad. My husbands steak and potato pleased him which is a hard thing to do. Again, the waiter was a huge part of enjoying our meal and time in the space. Yeah, finally a restaurant we will be visiting often!
Very good steaks. Service was attentive and polite, although at times noticeably feigned. I had a minor concern with my food and when mentioned my issue was rapidly dismissed as unimportant. Overall, the food was very good, but not outstanding. I've had better meals elsewhere for similar price range. Hence, based only on one meal, I can't say this restaurant was a good value.
Service was amazing, food was amazing. Will defiantly be coming back.
The food was great!! the steaks melted in your mouth. Lump Crab was wonderful.
The plating was hilarious,or perhaps I should say non-existent. If you are going to plop a chunk of beef on a plate, at least center it. We spoke to people at neighboring tables and we were all laughing about it. If you want an example of how to plate steaks, refer to the Smith and Wollensky website.
Steaks were outstanding, as was the cheese cake. Wait staff were delightful. Service was slow as they appeared understaffed. Not that expensive for an upper level restaurant.
First time at Mr. B's since it changed from Joey Gerard's. We both had steaks...me the classic filet, my wife the prime filet. Both were excellent, but for the price I'd probably stay with the classic. The prime was more tender, but the classic was tender enough and there was really no difference in flavor. Sides were delicious (brussell sprouts, creamy spinach). Kid friendly venue as well. Our kids both had the mac&cheese. Best of all was the service. My standard for fine dining is Joe's Seafood in Chicago...bar none the best place I've ever experienced. The food might've been just a tick below, but the service at B's came close. I'll definitely be back.
