The food and service were outstanding as usual. This was my first time at the Mequon location, and it was just as nice as the Brookfield location.
My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed the food, wine & service at Mr. B's. The Cindy/Rich Service Team took great care of my wife and I. Thanks for a wonderful Birthday dinner! P.S. Wagyu baby...delicious.
Good food and ambiance but inattentive service. Even though they weren’t busy they put us at a tiny table then I asked to be moved to a booth. Then our waiter took forever to refill water and rolls. Then he forgot the sauce we ordered with the steak.
We especially appreciated our server, Gulia. She was attentive to our every need and ensured a wonderful anniversary celebration for us!
Delicious food, excellent service
Went for my birthday celebration and we had a wonderful meal. My filet was delicious and my husbands halibut was fresh and perfectly done. The schaum torte was an extra special birthday surprise to finish of a delightful meal.
The overall experience was ok. I had the king crab legs and my husband had the scallops. I haven't had king crab legs in 25years. They were done very well. It wasn't busy at all, so I couldn't figure out why our waitress was MIA, most of the time. Would definitely go back, but would like to have an older waitress/waiter, and wouldn't be until another "special" anniversary.
Great food, but EXCELLENT service!! Cindy was BEYOND FABULOUS!! Just wish you’d serve mushrooms or even onion rings with the steaks!
Although the food was tasty, and please know we are not ones to complain, but my fiance had a glass of ice water knocked onto his lap by the waiter (...understandably, having been a server in the past, this happens) and there was no offer to comp a beverage, appetizer, dessert or anything.
This was surprising, even after who I can only assume was the manager, stopped by and made a joke about giving a kiddie-cup with a lid next time (to which I laughed and replied that the waiter had actually bumped the menu resulting in the spill). This was only the second time I've had the opportunity to go to a Bartolotta restaurant, so was quite disappointed in the lack of customer appreciation or concern when ice water is spilled onto someones lap by an employee. I've witnessed better care of customers in chain restaurants when something like this happens.
Although the food was the level of quality we expected, the service and concern for the customer was lacking for such a high-profile restaurant group.
Celebrated our wedding anniversary with my wife and Mr. B's did a great job. When we sat at our table there was a greeting card saying "Happy Anniversary to us"- a nice little touch. We also had a fabulous meal, which was topped off by a complementary glass of champagne.
Highly recommend for food quality along with a friendly and personal staff. Will be back in the near future.
Awesome as always
We went as a family for Easter brunch. The options were extensive and absolutely delicious! The brunch set-up was a bit tight to move around, but the seating was comfortable. Staff was professional, attentive and friendly - even the coat-checker. Looking forward to trying this out for date-night.
While I have been to several Bartolotta restaurants.....I have yet to really enjoy any of them. This is no exception. Easter Brunch was average at best. It was nice to try it and I do like the location, but to my mind, it is just not worth the price. Just okay. maybe dinner is better.
I love this restaurant, the people, it's been a favorite place for my family for years. Having said that, I won't eat at Mr. B's because of the price heavy menu. It's simply not affordable to pay that much for a slab of beef. Let's face it, even if I split it with another diner, it's gonna go home with me. Cold steak doesn't really taste all that good. So, thanks for Easter Brunch! It was awesome!!!
Easter Brunch bust. Not a single hot item I had was hot. Must say they made out well with us. That was a hefty price tag for what we had. Coat check person was very nice. Oh, and the mimosa was good.
For a high end restaurant, this was just okay. Our 6:15 pm table was not available when we checked in, the cheese platter was cold (cheese should be served at room temperature), we were never offered any bread during dinner, and the food was good, but not worth the price.
Consistently excellent food and service. Great steaks and drinks in a nice setting overlooking the river.
Great food and service. Steak was outstanding. Will be back.
The waiter and waitress never refilled our waters and never came back to ask us how the food was or if we needed anything.
Food was well prepared, service just see,ms to be lost. Servers are not ready to work at the level they are being asked, more training or new staff.
Our family had eaten here once before and were disappointed with the food preparation and quality but not this time. We had a little of everything food wise (Lobster Mac and Cheese, Crab Cakes, French Fries, Steaks, 2 kinds of soup and creamed spinach. It was all delicious. One of the steaks was supposed to be medium but came out almost rare. It was fixed immediately and was delicious. My husband was very disappointed that they no longer have Prime Rib. He was really looking forward to it.
We will be back though!
The service was attentive and friendly. The Schaum torte was amazing
Steak prices a bit high.
Celebrated my wifes to be birthday. She loved it.
We were on a tight timeline and had to get the last reservation at 8:45, plus 2 members of our party showed up at 9:00. We were not rushed at all and the service and food were wonderful. One of our favorite restaurants- so happy it is now in the Northshore.
Thanks for taking precautions with the dairy allergy we appreciate that
The wait staff was great - my medium rare steak was closer to medium and the salmon was a “touch” over cooked. The Calimari was delicious!
Lobster was awful couldn’t eat it and wagyu wasn’t much better
Great experience. A huge improvement versus many past visits.
The food is good but not great, especially considering the high prices. Friendly service.
The steak was over cooked and the service was not great.
We requested a quiet table as one in the party is hard of hearing. We were seated in a very quiet area and immediately were waited on. The service was fantastic and the food great. Kudos to Heather and Shawn for making the evening special.
Mu husband and I were disappointed in the value of what we were served. We had visited several times before the switch in business name to Mr. B's. We did not see a change in the atmosphere or wait staff, but the food was definitely overpriced. Only one crab cake served for appetizer. Steak was prepared well, but potato side dishes were not impressive for the cost. Having no soup or salad included in dinner was disappointing. Overall we did not feel the meal was worth what we paid. This was my 40th birthday dinner, was just not the same as Joey Girard.
Every time food is good, I know I will get a nice, flavorful, juice steak
The service was really great !
Amazing night. The waitstaff makes you feel like you are their only table. The food was delicious. Can't wait to come back for another visit.
Our waitress was awesome. I really liked that they have a “meat cart” they show you and tell you all about the meats they have on their menu so you know exactly what your options are.
Pleasant wait staff
The staff was very helpful with our dietary needs. The food was fabulous. It made our 38th wedding anniversary a true celebration. Thanks Mr. B's.
Ooh standing
Great bartenders
I’ll be back
My wife's birthday celebration with our family. We had a great dinner and a great time at this midweek celebration. We all had a great dinner and a great time. Service was excellent. We will be back.
The service was awesome, as usual. Great food too.
