Service was slow, ordered drinks and did not come until food was delivered. Two Servers were kind, but unorganized and not coordinated in their service. Food was good. Needed to find server to request bill. Waited 10 min for bill to be picked up to be paid. Disappointing because Bartolottas is know for superb service.

The food that my wife was excellent. My dinner was OK. I had salmon. The salmon was excellent as was the asparagus. The potatoes were below the salmon and they were generally cool to cold. The plate was cold so whatever heat was in the potatoes quickly went away. Our server, Kelly was excellent. The sauces on the salmon and under the potatoes was ok. The menu stated the there was a dill sauce on the salmon, but it did not have much flavor. I will not have that entry again.

We dined as a party of 5 at 7:30PM on a Saturday; the restaurant was as packed as it can get. My only complaint is on the service and reason for 4* is that it took almost 30 mins to get a drink and bread basket. That is just too long for a place of this caliber. Borderline felt like we didn’t have a server for the first ~30 mins. After that, service picked up and was attentive and informative. We started with haystack onion rings and bacon apps, both of which were outstanding. Two shared the 44oz porterhouse for two which was amazing and looked more like bistecca alla fiorentina in its presentation. The other entrees at our table included a filet and scallop combo, double cut lamb chops and boneless ribeye. All of these were melt in mouth quality. All side potato dishes were excellent as well as the button mushroom and roasted Brussels sprouts sides. Overall an excellent night out after a slow start to the meal.

Got a bottle of wine, they mark it up 3-4X, which is not atypical. On top of this their entrees are high priced and any sides are extra too. Last time we were there they were out of the daily special at 5:00 when they opened (translation: they never had it), so we have effectively stopped going there despite the fact it's the nearest nice restaurant to us.

This was the second time dining at Mr B’s. A bit disappointed in our wedge salad this time, heavy on croutons and not much dressing. My husband and I split this salad this time as well as the last visit. I raved over that salad for weeks to my friends first time I had it, yesterday it was just ok. We had the crab cake which was fantastic, and as a side we had Brussels sprouts, they sounded so good described on the menu, but they were just ok. Our dinner was good, service was great.

Don't get the burger. The bun was burned, cheap lettuce, and pickles were forgotten. Food came out and sat on a tray waiting to be picked up by the server. Cold french fries. Nice server but far below the expectation for a "fine dining" Bartolatta restaurant. Disappointing. Definitely had better experiences before.

Arrived early and had reservations, but told we needed to wait. As we waited we watched three young women converse at the hostess station while everyone else seemed busy. Later we overheard a server ask them if people were waiting because there was an open table—I guess their conversation was more important. (We only noticed one large party leave while we waited so the table may have been open the whole time.) We were seated shortly after, and we were grateful that the server (Jeff) said something. Our servers were great and food was good for the most part, except for the crab cake. The crab cake had a lot of crab, but no real flavor. One would expect better for the price.

Filet was good, scallops were very sandy and not appetizing at all once you got into the grittyness. Salmon was nice and the steak sandwich was good but nothing spectacular. This was our first time to Mr.Bs and we see no reason to go back.

It was our first time at Mr. B. The manager was kind enough to reseat us when we sat at our table due to it being near a window and we were cold. Had the bone- in filet and baked potato. They were both hot and tasty. We were pleased with the service but I added to our reservation that it was our anniversary, 44th do be exact. No mention of it by any staff member during the evening. We did enjoy the evening very much and will return soon.

Disappointing third visit, with below average steak at this price point. I had the bone-in tenderloin and lobster, and my girlfriend had tenderloin and scallops. The tenderloin tasted like poorly aged choice beef. The lobster and scallops were good. It’s well worth the extra 30 minutes (round trip) drive to State Street in Milwaukee.

It was a significant disappointment to eat at Mr B’s. We have been long time Bartolotta members and eaten at all their restaurants in the past, but here it felt that they were riding on their name to charge a lot of money for a mediocre experience. I don’t mind paying good money for a good experience, but when the food is fair, the service spotty and the ambiance loud and crowded rather that elegant and personal, it feels that you are being ripped off. This was the mutual feeling of both my wife and I after we left the restaurant. It wasn’t just the cost which was very high (I know meat is pricey now), but the service was nothing special at all. We felt they used the Bartolotta name and toned down everything else. Even though it was mentioned on the reservation that this was a “Special Occasion”, nobody seemed to be clued to that, we were dropped onto a small table in the crowd and it did not feel like a special occasion at all. Would not recommend.
