About Mozzarella & Vino
Welcome to Mozzarella & Vino. Our menu reflects the simplicity of authentic Italian ingredients, with a heavy emphasis on the Mozzarella di buffala Campana, Italian cheeses and affettati. Based mostly on classic Italian antipasti, such as arancini, panzarotti, and mozzarella rolls, we also serve a wonderful selection of panini, soups, salads, burger, pasta, and of course mozzarella of all shapes and delicious combinations (even on desserts.) The enoteca style bar focuses on showcasing rather smaller family estates and independent Italian winemakers. We proudly share wines that we love, definitely not mainstream, and wines that translate history, quality and good value. A variety of by the glass is offered, as well as by the bottle. Our selection greatly varies due to constant new discoveries (...we are always in search of something new and delicious.) We look forward to welcoming you to our new home e viva la mozzarella!

Mozzarella & Vino Ratings and Reviews
The ambiance was as expected for an establishment of this kind. Service was fast and helpful. For an appetizer we had two mozzarella dishes which used good ingredients and were presented fairly well. For the main I had fettuccine bolognese which was full of taste and nicely presented. The other dish was braised beef and potato with a tomato sauce. The beef was very well cooked however presented on some mashed potato which wasn’t particularly appetizing. Overall the dining experience was good however there was more to be desired in the breadth of the menu.
we found this restaurant to be a great place for Christmas Eve dinner. we were seated quickly even when we were a bit early for our reservation. the staff was polite, attentive & engaged in conversation . the food was excellent. we started with the rustic cheese board of ricotta & procuitto, citrus & avocado insalate, stracciatella zuppe, ravioli del giorno & the classic fresh fettuccine alla bolognese. the paste was served al dente which was perfect. we would highly recommend this restaurant and plan to visit again when we are in the city.
First time visit after a morning spent at MOMA with a dear friend. Restaurant was just lovely. It was busy with Christmas business lunches but we never felt rushed or ignored. Ate in the atrium area which was just perfect for a long lunch. Our waiter, Cristofer, was just the best....he spent time with us on wine selection and our choices for lunch. Food was wonderful -- we shared an order of arancini which were just perfectly made. Eggplant parmesan and a chicken Panini were delicious. We finished with the carrot cake -- everything was just perfect. Definitely recommend.
A bit disappointing. Service was quite slow for such a small restaurant. The lasagna had mushrooms that tasted like they were canned. Salmon was dry and overcooked. Had to flag down servers just to refill water glasses that were empty for half the meal. Wish I had a better review :(
Perfect way to end our NYC trip. The food was delicious. I had the ravioli and my husband had the lasagna. We had a bottle of a lovely Italian wine — VERY reasonably priced. The ambiance was quiet, but not at all stuffy. The best part was the location— just down the street from our hotel! Highly recommend.
Love this charming little restaurant. They consistently make the most delicious, moist salmon I have ever had. Salads are fresh and their specials are special. Across the street from MoMA, it is open at 4pm-always so grateful for this as it is often difficult to find good restaurants open for an early dinner/late lunch. Excellent.
