Mozzarella & Vino
The Mozzarella Cheese was great! Our server Sam was attentive and knowledgeable, food taste was good as well. We will be back
Very nice and good food. V Day was great.
Delicious food in a cozy setting. Our server was very knowledgeable and friendly. We look forward to making this one of favorite spots to dine.
Decided to dine here before a show at Radio City and we were very pleased with our choice. The restaurant has a neighborhoody feel despite being in midtown Manhattan. We were greeted warmly on arrival. The service was genial, and our food delicious. All that coupled with a decent price point for Manhattan means I’ll most likely dine here again.
We were a party of three women. We were here to celebrate my best girlfriend’s birthday w her daughter. We liked the Host/General Manager and ambiance. The cheese plate and wine were amazing. The dinner/main courses we chose were not good. We had two servers. The first was pleasant, spoke english and was friendly. The second was rude, spoke barely any english and was patronizing to the three of us. One of us had halibut raviolis, they were fishy, salty and strange. One of us ordered the sweet-sausage and mushroom lasagna it was gross...the chef swaped the named mozzarella on the menu w smoked mozzarella but did not tell us and I hate smoked food and would not have ordered it had the “second bad server” advised me of this switch. We had ordered the meatballs appetizer to be served over the homemade linguini but instead the non-English speaking server brought out the linguini w meatball sauce which was little pearls of meat the size of a blue berry in a salty red sauce over pasta...not good. The host did refund the bad lasagna since the chef changed it but did not tell anyone! When we did state to the server our meals were bad he basically said to bad and walked away! I would ONLY go here for the AMAZING cheese boards and wine! Get the mozzarella pass on all the rest!
Family celebration we were very well taken care of
The menu changes frequently but everything the four of us tried was outstanding. The wines were fairly priced and advice was right. You cannot do better for an Italian restaurant in New York
Enjoyed a quiet Sunday evening dinner during a long weekend in NYC. We selected this restaurant mainly on location, since it was a couple blocks from our hotel. Turned out to be a wonderful meal. Service was great, and we left a couple of selections on our meat/cheese plate up to our server - and he made some excellent choices. We ordered lasagna and the lamb shank. Lasagna was good, but the lamb shank was out of this world. My companion was very jealous.
A large party arrived and our waiter seemed to have little time for us or the table next to us. They, and we, had to try very hard to get his attention to order dessert and get our checks. Circumstantial. Up until then he was wonderful.
The food was okay, nothing extraordinary. The service was pretty terrible. On multiple occasions the waiters lifted our plates before we we’re done eating. It was a forgettable experience, we won’t be back.
Will definitely return & recommend!
Love this place! Amazing food in a trendy atmosphere.
Excellent authentic Italian food and wine. Ate lunch there and enjoyed it so much that I went back that night. Highly recommended.
Going to theater
Small but cozy, very attentive service and very good food
Nice space but disappointing food. Lackluster minestrone soup and subpar salads - why?
Love this new find. Our waiter was so knowledgeable and at Attentative
Great Italian food, and wine list! Service was very attentive.
Great food. Home made ravioli and sauce were so tasty
Excellent real italian as opposed to Italian American food.
Service was great.
Service could not have been better, very accommodating. Food was ok, best was eggplant parm. Surprisingly no side dishes offered. Unless you purchase bottle or more expensive wine by glass, the less expensive wine is not good--i expected a better quality of Cianti.
A delicious meal. We sat in the front part of the restaurant where it was pretty quiet. A great place to go after a matinée or after visiting the Museum of Modern Art.
Fabulous experience! Food was wonderful. Staff was superb. Will definitely go back!
We have eaten at M&V three times on our trips to NYC to visit our daughter and each time we've walked away loving the food, the wine and the wait staff!!
Must Try! Excellent food and service.
Overall great.. lovely orange fennel salad and eggplant parm which was a little small as a serving.
We went on NYE and it was not packed at all. The service was attentive and friendly.
What stood out though was the quality and flavor of the food! We did the eggplant parmigiana, the sausage and wild mushroom lasagna, and ricotta and spinach ravioli and wow! Bite for bite, some of the best Italian we’ve ever had. I do wish the portions were a bit bigger, but that would be my only negative!
On a busy, holiday day, M&V treated our party of 7 - including two little kids - like royalty.
Loved this place! The lasagna is a must!
The food was delicious. We also loved the proximity to the MOMA.
Top veramente carino con italiani veri come personale
Food was ok but nothing extraordinary. The restaurant does not offer a lunch menu which was disappointing. We both ordered paninis — chicken cutlet one was quite good but the eggplant panini was underwhelming. This place has plenty of wine options but is greatly limited on cocktails. No sangria at an Italian restaurant?!
Thank you. Everything was great. One of us had a birthday, and the stuff congratulated her with a dessert and a candle. Atmosphere was very nice. Fast and tasty!
Could not have been better!
The restaurant is cozy with a very warm atmosphere created by the lovely service - everyone is so nice! The food was just what we needed... delicious but very reasonably priced. I loved the freshness of the citrus salad and the hearty spaghetti with beef and veal meat sauce. I will be making this a regular place now and recommending it to friends.
We had reservations for an early dinner after a day of sightseeing. The waiter greeted us with “are you ready to order”? We were, so we did. The food came out quickly and it was not great. I had the ravioli which was watery & in a very bland marinara. I would compare the marinara to a lean cuisine. My husband got a spaghetti, which sounded similar to a bolognese. It was okay, but again, lacking a wow factor. The mozzarella & prosciutto was delicious. $144 of less than Olive Garden quality food later, we ordered pizza from our hotel room.
Very good — food and atmosphere, plus low noise level, made it an enjoyable evening.
On holiday in NYC. Meal before a show. It was a great place to eat amazing food but a bit loud and cramped table
Delícia de comida!
With a reservation we walked in and were sat right away!! Waiter was helpful and friendly! The place was very quaint! The food was good! I liked the selection of wine they had too.
