Moxie's Grill & Bar - Richmond British Columbia
Just off the Vancouver Blaine Highway, Moxie’s restaurant is the effortless choice for a great meal. Moxie’s Richmond is only minutes from the Vancouver International Airport, located at the base of the Sandman Hotel Vancouver Airport on Saint Edwards Drive. We at Moxie's believe in great food at any time, so we serve daily brunch and are open late every day.
We're excited for you to experience everything that Moxie's has to offer!
Service / food was not good ! Would recommend people to go to this location.
The restaurant got overwhelmed with a 30 person group. Food quality not what we usually experience. A question which could not be answered is if the seating capacity is 200+, and the restaurant was NOT full, why would a group (advance reservation) effect business so directly? Awaiting a competent reply. We felt bad for the server and the floor manager who were clearly frustrated themselves. The summer isn’t going to get any slower....better preparation!
Took 20 mins for the server to come to our table and take our drink order, she took our menus without taking our order then it took 45 mins for our party of 5 to get our food. Every time we needed something we would have to call the server over as she didn’t check on us very often then it looked like we were annoyingly her with what we wanted.
Had the lettuce wrap to start. If I'd been there for lunch I would of had just that. It was excellent. The rest I found just great but good. service was excellent even though there was a group of 20 in our section we had no problems.
Had gluten free options. Fries were not crispy
Our server Bobby was fun and attentive. The food was yummy and the portion was a goos size.
I want to give this place at least 4 stars because of the service, but the food was really subpar. I expected more for its price, but the ribs that I ordered was really dry, and my mom didn’t even finish half of her food. The server was very nice to offer something new though. It was quite busy, lots of families and children, so the noise level was pretty high.
Overall it was just okay.
10 mins after seated, no server came no water came. We had to ask another server to see who was our server. Food was overcooked. Server wasn't really checking in. Overall customer service was poor.
Too noisy to carry on a normal conversation. Music too loud. Poor sound baffling. Will not go again
Great food and service. The whole family enjoyed their meal. We will definitely come back.
Being a rather large party of six the service was good. Even our waitress noticed a smudge on a drink glass and said she would get another one. The wait time was not excessive to get our meals and all of us were impressed with the quality of the food. We only went to this Moxie's because we were meeting up with family that were in transit back home and they were staying at the Sandman Hotel. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to have good food in a relaxing atmosphere.
Moxies has always been a hit a miss place for me, just because I’ve booked large tables, and had been told they can cater to my request, only to be split up upon arrival. This happened twice.
This time we had a server named Zain, and he was Great. He served 13 of us on Mother’s Day. He was quick, polite, informative, he even got ice for someone who had a headache, oh, and gave at the end of dinner potted flowers to 5 Mother’s that we were with us. I should of left 25% tip. Ask for Zain’s section. Above, and Beyond. Thanks Moxies, & Zain.
Had a group that went perfectly
Loved the food and service was great
We had a small group of 9 and had been set up in the glassed- in terrace where the noice was really high. The staff went out of their way to move us to were we would be comfortable. Excellent customer service!!!!
Everything was great. Would have given a 5...just that noise level was a bit high and we could have had water refills sooner but it was near perfect.
We had a farewell gathering with work friends and Devin was such a wonderful server. She was so kind and friendly to everyone. From the beginning to end Devin and the staff at Moxies were great and made the going away party for myself and another team mate so memorable. Thank you everyone, will be back for sure!
Booked on open table, but a table in the middle of several large parties was not exactly our idea of a "date night" which I reserved for. Waited for a booth, when seated the hostess put our menus upside down, oh well, however it got further annoying when the same hostess seated a table of 6 with 1 loud shouting child, and another older child which continued running around the table with a tambourine.
We already had our food, which was tasty, however, if the food had not been there we would have walked out. The waitress was very lovely and apologized of course.
Perhaps getting a different hostess would help.
The last few times I have been to Moxie the service has been excellent!
Easy to reserve a table prior to arrival. seated immediately. service was good and quick. Food was hot and tasted great.
Service was fantastic! Table was ready and waiting for us. The waiter had full menu knowledge.
Service provided by Madeleine was excellent. She was very attentive to our needs and made my son's 4th birthday extra special. The food was just okay though. The ribs I ordered this time was dry. The appetizers and the steak was good.
Recently had to go gluten free. Loved the gluten free tacos! They were amazing!
Very nice and polite servers, and accommodating, as we were early for our reservation and they saved our table as we went into the bar area for a pre-drink. Would heartily recommend Moxie’s.
The quality of food has definitely gone down... dont think I will be back any time soon
Our server was horrible. Which made the whole experience really bad. Took 45mins for food. Once it did come out, our server was no where to be found. ( I needed a knife for my steak). Veggies where burned also. Spoke with the manager she apologized and took care of the bill. (Reason for 2stars instead of 1)
The food is tasty, and the kids menu comes with a really fun dessert!
It was our first ever visit and the service was quite disappointing but we’re hoping it was just that specific Saturday night and doesn’t reflect the restaurant as a whole.
Staff were friendly enough, but the overall experience was frustrating as it took them more than 30 minutes to seat us after our booked reservation time, and food took almost an hour to be served since giving the server our order.
Went for Dineout dinner with a friend, originally had reservations for Chop, but a friend strongly suggested I Moxie's. Went for the steak option, starters were not bad. Then it went downhill, I had asked for a steak medium rare, it came out well down! Sent it back, another one came out, it was more medium well than medium rare. On the plus side, we got a free round of drinks, but there's no excuse for poorly cooked food even with a free drink!
We were disappointed at Moxie’s as we waited for 2 hrs to have our appetizers and entrees. The server was not helpful and wasn’t checking on us all the time. We had no where to get her. Luckily I guess the manager or the supervisor saw us looking around and came follow up with us and kept checking on us. Very disappointed at the server. Finally we got our server once time and we kindly asked her to check on our orders after waited for an hr, her response was “I only responsible to put in order to the kitchen and I’ve no control how the kitchen works out”. OMG! This is unacceptable answer and service. We decided it to get the same manager/supervisor again to follow up for us and she did a good job on it which we appreciated. However, we will NOT return to the restaurant again as the customer service was absolutely poor!!!
Cold meal. Sent it back. Returned after my party had finished their meal, hot, including the cole slaw. Sent it back and said just forget it
It was very busy for a Monday night. We all had our meals served at different times, there was 7 of us.
We had to wait even to get a glass of water, the server said the glasses were in the dishwasher. We weren't in a hurry so the slow service was OK as we had lots of time to visit. The noise level was high as it was packed so unable to hear too well.
We like to come here for dinner when my brother is in Vancouver on business as he stays at the airport and the rest of us come from White Rock,Coquitlam and Surrey therefore it is a central location with easy parking and access.
Summer time it was quieter as seating outdoors but the food service was always much better in the past.
We ordered for calamari, which is delicious - I think it is one of the best !
Chicken and ribs is mouthwatering, both chicken and ribs were seasoned perfectly. Plenty of roasted nugget potatoes.
The New York Steak is a bit over cooked for rare+, it is not too appealing.
We had a great dinner on New Years Eve.
The staff, vibe, and food were all amazing!
Thanks Moxies Richmond for a great New Years Eve meal.
Great food, great staff, overall great meal with family
The 1 item i love is the bite of brownie. Everything else to me os forgettable.
Excellent service provided by Audrey. The food was good.
Was quite loud and elevator music made it worse. Servers are disinterested. Food was good.
Food and service were Good. Trying to find the entrance to the restaurant, off the highway took some time. Once we parked , was difficult to find a safe path to the entrance. I use a walker, and no proper sidewalks to get to entrance. ....
Moxie’s service and food is always consistently good. Good place to go with friends
Reservation made for 25. Under staffed. No drinks (pop) to kids for over 75 minutes. Had to go to bar to get drinks as it was much faster. Food took over 90 minutes. Not recommended for parties over 4 people. Did receive coupons for future visits as well as all drinks were taken off the bill. Serving and waiting staff were awful.
