Great food and beverage. Fun modern atmosphere with a mix of all generations of people.
Mid afternoon lunch, with a large group. Staff was fantastic, had the tables ready, and let us spread out - kids and parents.
Service was great. Enjoyed the occasion. Will be back.
We came for brunch on St Patrick’s day. It was 1 PM, and the restaurant was dead. Our server was so hard to find most of the time, even though the servers were just standing around talking. It took so long to get our food, and then to find out server when we needed things. Very lackluster experience, and sad because it’s such a cute restaurant.
Service wasn’t up to standard. Super disappointed. For the cost I expected more. My order didn’t even come out correct the first time. Our server tried but was too awkwardly trying to hard to be good. Won’t be returning anytime soon.
Love their food and the music! Went there with my significant other and it was great!
While the place was more upscale than your typical "grill and bar", the food was a bit underwhelming.
Wait Staff could be better by handling food items with napkin and not bare hands
Loved the food, loved the atmosphere but the service was absolutely awful. The restaurant had only 3-4 tables of people when we visited and it took over 10 minutes to get even a waitress to come take a drink order. During the waiting I used walked to the restroom and noticed 4 of the hostess/wait staff standing around with their noses buried in their phones. Not impressed with the professionalism especially for being a "Corporate" store. On the other hand the food was good.
Customer service was not great. The waitress seemed rushed, not attentive and very careless. The food was your typical bar fare with nothing special added. The noise level is high so it's hard to carry on a conversation with friends. I will not be back.
Service was extremely slow. It appeared our server had too many large tables assigned to her. After, a manager walked by and noticed after 20 minutes we still did not have our drinks, he assigned another server to our table who was able to expedite or order quickly.
Overall amazing but it’s a bit pricey and it was really loud
I am familiar with Moxie's from my travels to Canada. The Plano staff, atmosphere, menu choices and decor is great. I will definitely return again to this location.
Excellent Staff. Quick and attentive service. We will be returning.
Had a reservation for two and showed up on time. The seater greeted us with a glass of wine. My wife and I were shown to a giant booth set for eight people. We asked for something smaller similar to the filled tables lined up by the window. The seater showed us to a tiny table in a corner next to the wine wall. I asked if we could instead Sit in one of two booths right next to it the same size as the tables by the window, but she told us those were reserved by the manager an we could speak to him. I explained that we had reservations, but she was adamant they were not available to us without my personally speaking to the manager in a tone that told us it was unlikely.. We decided to try the eight seater again.. We had slide all the way around to the back of the table, looking across maybe 4-5 feet of table to where we would have to yell any orders to our server. So we tried it, but after waiting 10 minutes for a server to even glance at us, we decided to just leave and go over to Perry’s. Told the seater we were leaving and she asked if we wanted to speak to the manager but we just wanted to get out of there. We were dressed nice, I had a sport coat, etc. so maybe they just don’t want 50 year old parents there? Or you need to be friends with the manager to get a nicer table. I’d wanted to try this place but even without trying the food, we will not even consider going back.
I was hoping to have a great meal with my girlfriend for our first ever Valentines Day together. The atmosphere was great and service was awesome. Because of the occasion the menu was a set menu which is fine but for starters our appetizer was cold. It seemed like they had their chefs back in the kitchen making as many plates as possible so they were ready as the orders came in, rather than actually making them to order. We each got the filet and she had the twice baked potato as a side. My steak was burnt and so was her potato, which also seemed like it was prepped hours before and sitting there waiting for the order to come in. I finished my meal and my girlfriend was still eating hers as our waitress came over to take my dish to the kitchen. When she was grabbing the dish she asked if I would like to go ahead and put the dessert order in, to which I said absolutely, thinking it would be about 10 minutes or so. 30 seconds later the dessert comes out which goes to show that nothing was actually made to order that night and it was all prepped hours ahead of time. The brownie was hard as a rock, and that is no exaggeration. The drinks were great though. I was very disappointed in the quality of the food that night especially when I spent $150. As of right now, I’m not sure that I will be back or not which sucks because I had very high hopes for Moxies.
The service was extremely slow and the server would walk right by us. Food was over cooked and the dessert was burnt...gross!
Service was too slow... service was too slow... service was too slow.... service was too slow...
Hi, it was my birthday and we had a party of 9, our waitress was training someone. However, she seemed to have been in a hurry for us to place our order even when I told her I had 2 more ppl joining us. The food was excellent and the drinks also! But she did mess up 2 orders and blamed the trainee for it. When it was time for the checks she collected everyone’s card separately but when she returned them she just sat them on the table in a stack for everyone to get their own card in which I thought that was very inappropriate. What if that person didn’t want anyone to know how much their bill was? It was a lot of very little things that could’ve been better but overall we had a great time! And we’ll be back.
Horrible service and bad attitude from floor manager will not recommend
We were seated on the bar side of the restaurant and the volume level of the music was WAY TOO LOUD, and only seemed to get louder as the night went on. I would not return to this place just for that reason alone. When you have to scream to carry on a conversation it quickly becomes exhausting. Not worth it. Also, drinks are very expensive for what you get. Basic margarita was extremely tart.
It did take over 10 minutes for a waitress to initially come to our table and we had to flag one down. The waitress did however provide excellent service and the food was delicious. Highly recommend the lobster and shrimp linguine!
The atmosphere was very modern and inviting. The large booths are great for larger parties that want to be able to all talk and interact together. We had 6 in our party and having a large circular booth made it a more intimate experience. The food was awesome and service was very attentive.
Great food, good service and wonderful ambiance.
Fantastic option for those who work in Plano. Great food, service - and brand new... what’s not to like? Will definitely be back.
We went there for dinner. We sat in the bar area. The waitress came took our drink order. Was gone for a while and came back and took food order. It took quite a while to get out food. The soup came with the meal. Soup tasted like it came out of a can. I got a French dip and it tasted bad. Very little meat. The waitress NEVER came back. The table beside ours had to order their drinks from the bar. 2 Rounds. We to ask the bus guy for our check. He came back with the check and we paid him. We never saw her again. We saw her in the back hanging out. Still confused where she went. So sorry to say bad food and bad service.
Could probably turn down the music just a little bit in the seating area. Was too much of a bar vibe. Was hard to have a conversation. Other than that the service was good and food was quite good as well.
Note that the name will fool you on how you need the dress, this is an upscale establishment and not your average bar and grill. I severely underdressed but the staff was wonderful about it.
The food will also fool you. This place is eclectic in their food, but the taste is wonderful. Pot stickers were nice to start off and the blackened chicken was great. I wish the fries were crispier but they were not under cooked. Try the desert! It was Toffee cake and it was great!
One thing that is a minor irritation for me is the valet. Ever establishment must have valet service now
Overall good. Good pick for the night!
We went to watch the Cowboy game, so we sat in the bar. We were excited at first because it was very nice looking and TVs were good viewing. Our waitress was nice enough, but not very attentive. The Apps were OK, but the main dishes were not good. They had absolutely NO seasoning. Burgers were dry and steak was not juicy even though it was Med Rare. We decided to try dessert to see if it was better. We got what was labeled as Toffee Pudding, but it was cake with a little sauce. Again, no Bueno. We sooo wanted to like this place :(
I personally will be avoiding this place until they get the kinks worked out. I thought interior was really cold with a constant draft in the booth / dining area. Kids meals are $9.50 which is on the high side - includes drink and dessert. I got the open faced Flat Iron steak sandwhich. Meat was poor quality - tough and lacking flavor. Manager comped dessert for us when I told him - also offered up an alternative menu item. Kids generally liked their meal. Partner liked her blackened chicken burger. Service was uneven. Very attentive in the beginning but after the meal less so. I kept refilling my water from my kids glasses.
Also kids drinks were served in bar glasses instead of kids cups -- was OK for us but not for younger kids.
There are so many new and great foodie places in the area that I won't lose much sleep giving this one a rest for now.
Cowboys game was going on so it was pretty packed. Was seated quickly due to reservation
I was say describe it as a place with good food, but below average service. Its hard to tell if the place is very unorganized operationally, or we just had a below average waitress. The services was slow, and we had to intiate everything with the waitress. She seemed at times if this was her first night waiting tables. The food was good, so at least that part went right. For the prices you pay, hopefully this place evolves a bit and puts a focus on services rather than just trying to hire attractive waitress that are not very strong servers.
We had a great server Jo. She was warm and friendly while juggling many tables. The food was good and the dessert was even better. We plan to return.
Date was disappointed in NYE-only menu restriction but bar scene has her wanting to try it again. I was never able to get a decent gin martini--tried Tanqueray, Bombay. but they all tasted like New Amsterdam--too citrus y. My steak had good flavor
Went to Moxie's for NYE and had their pre fixe menu. It was a great value--4 courses for only $49. I would have given 5 stars for food except that the pot stickers came out a little cold.
Wish our server had been a little more attentive; we had to wait a while between receiving our soup/salad and ordering our appetizer.
New Year’s celebration
Always a treat
The host was superb. But when we ask for baby back ribs they run out of them! Big disappointment. The lettuce wraps were great!
The food was really good. Great fresh flavors. The music was a bit too loud. The service was ok, my hubby ordered the tuna poke for me, after our waitress took the order she came back to let us know that they where out. The staff should know these things. My hubby ordered a burger with sweet potatoes fries however it came with a baked potato instead. Eventually they brought his sweet potatoes. We waited a long time for our appetizers. When the check came the baked potato was added to our check. It was a dollar charged however this shouldn't never happen. The drinks took a long time to come and we didn't get refills on our waters. My husband is a good tipper needles to say he left the minimum this time. Too bad the food was good but service totally ruined the experience.
Surprised at lack of decorum/ professionalism of staff. Doesn’t seem to meet other ambiance.
Waitress clicking pen entire time she talked to us about our order. (Irritated?)
Mgr (?) checking out a waitress at a small table across from wait station near wine room. Counting cash, settling up receipts shouldn't be done in another place, out of the customers’ view?
