Great food. Knowledgeable server. Lots of options of fare. Quick service.
Love it, great happy hour location. I’ll be back.
Food is excellent
The food and service were great. However we were a bit perturbed that the host kept interrupting our meal. “ A male staff member approached our table and abruptly inquired, “Did you all come in from the patio or did we go through the host stand ? “ Literally five minutes later a female host approached our table and asked the name on our reservation. Mind you, this is the same host that sat us. Kendra our server was excellent but the hosts need more training.
We had great food, great service and a wonderful night out with friends!
Excellent atmosphere and experience
This was the second time that I visited Moxie’s and the waitress was not attentive. It took a very long time to receive our food which was not prepared properly. We sent the food back and they cook attempted to correct it only to find out that it was still improperly prepared. The manager wasn’t interested in attending to our issue or correcting it and although we didn’t eat the food they tried to charge me for it . I will not be visiting again as this is the second time service was poor.
We went to Moxies for dinner to celebrate my boyfriend's birthday. We started off with happy hour and after waiting awhile for our waitress, a manager came by to take our drink order. My boyfriend was interested in a happy hour old fashioned but was upsold to the special made in house old fashioned, which was twice the price. After he was more than halfway through his drink the waitress came with a plate of garnishes and told us she forgot to garnish it. No other apologies were given and the drink was not offered to be remade.
The service was the slowest I had ever seen it. Our waitress did not come back to take our second drink order before happy hour ended and I had to rush in my second order right at 6pm when happy hour ended. The waitress was slow to take our meal order, check on us, and give us the bill.
I am also upset because I specifically mentioned we were celebrating a birthday in our reservation through Open table and our special occasion was never mentioned by the hostess or waitress. We were never offered any sort of birthday candle and by the time I realized it, I didn't want to wait another half hour on the waitress.
All in all I would come back because I have experienced better service at Moxies before, but if this was my first visit I wouldn't return.
Friendly staff and Great service. Our waitress offered suggestions and worked with our drink and food requests.
Great service! Manager Matthew was awesome! Everyone there is really friendly and the food is delicious!
We went there on a Sunday around 2pm for brunch. The food was great and our waitress was the best. Super attentive to us and our two kids.
Wait staff (Tiffany) was outstanding! Hostess up from very accommodations. Valet was even great!
Food and service was amazing as usual.
Great staff, service and food quality/taste
We had dinner reservations on a very busy Friday night. The bar is LOUD....however there is an entire restaurant area that was fantastic. The service was impeccable and the food was delicious. Definitely going back.
It was very very noisy in the dining area.
Very noise inside but I love that place anyway
Good variety on the menu and food was good. Not many places you can get poutine this delicious. Server was super personable and helpful.
The nachos were really bad. The server was very kind and helpful (didn’t charge us), but the food wasn’t great
Above all it was extremely NOISY. My party had to move to the patio even to attempt to converse.
Servers were friendly but overloaded.
Steak on the salad was perfectly done. Spicy tuna was good but over-seasoned.
Love the food choices and service is always quick which works well for lunch meetings on a schedule. Moxie's is a favorite for the uptown Dallas area and offers nice selection of wine and beer. Love the Salmon salad and the blackened chicken tacos. Excellent choices for appetizers.
Noisy, Noisy, NOISY! We were seated next to each other and still had to lean in and shout to be heard.
Great dinner and service by Connor. Appreciate the vegetarian options on the menu. Nice atmosphere and we will return. Thanks
New waitress needed a lot more training. She was really nice but was not familiar with the food options or drinks.
Hostess not sure where she was going or which tables were clear. Attention to detail is lacking. First brought water then ordered two mimosas and an iced tea. Sweetener on the side. Sweetener caddie was wet and didn’t have any artificial sweetener it it. Requested. Mimosas came out individually and looked horrible. The wait staff is very confused brought us a dessert menu prior to even ordering. Menu has quirky pricing. Using fractions to indicate dollars and cents. The food arrived and was obviously left under the heat lamp as plate was warm and hollandaise sauce had a skin on it. The potatoes had been sitting in a bin and new ones were brought to the table. The Eggs Benedict was tasty but small and cold. While the eggs may be cage free they might have been harvested from the pigeons circling the crescent court. Plates were cleared while people were still eating (my pet peeve) don’t clear until everyone is finished eating. Don’t place a check until you’ve checked in with your guests for dessert, drinks or satisfaction. If you’re going my to wear an apron as a uniform it is preferable to keep it clean. We appreciate samples but if your uniform has the entire menu plastered on the front of it it’s not appetizing and not appealing. We get it waiting tables is difficult and hard work. Pride in your appearance is important.
Brunch was not the relaxing afternoon I had hoped for. The interior is frenetic and loud. Outside would be a respite but for the music choice for outdoors which was at a volume that almost interferes with communicating with the wait staff and each other.
Great location, good music, nice waitstaff. The appetizers were great and the mains were slightly above average. The drinks are good...a little on the weaker end of the spectrum. The mood and vibe in there is excellent. My only complaint is that as the hostess sat us at our reserved table, she told us we could only have it until 9pm because another party needed it. Considering we ran up a $400 tab for 4 people, I just felt it was not excellent customer service to say we would have to move later.
Everything was perfect; Food, service, and the ambience.
Our waitress was very attentive and helpful. Service was great. Food was great. Atmosphere was fun and festive, though we were in the dining room vs. the bar area seating, which is what we preferred. We had the guacamole and the lettuce wraps for appetizers. 2 of us had the Mahi Mahi and the other two had the Salmon entree. Both were very good and both were presented nicely. We would definitely recommend.
The atmosphere was great and the Lobster and shrimp linguini was phenomenal. We took my mom for her birthday. She was pleasantly surprised with her complimentary toffee pudding and ice cream.
Average experience at best. My boyfriend made a reservation at 7:15 for dinner and the place was pretty lively already. We sat in the smaller subsection away from the bar and still had a moderately hard time hearing each other. With that said, the ambiance was pretty enjoyable. My boyfriend had the ahi salad which he really enjoyed, and said the tuna was rather well prepared. I had chicken tacos which were cold upon serving but otherwise tasty. I would have mentioned this to our server except he was nowhere to be found our entire time dining. He supposedly had a “larger group” which kept him busy, and the longest time we saw him was when he was running the credit card payment at our table. The other surprisingly disappointing aspect of our meal was my cocktail. I had the blackberry mint bourbon mule (mules in any form are usually my drink of choice) which didn’t taste like blackberry, mint, or ginger beer. It mostly tasted like water with a little bourbon. The general tastiness of our food was the only real reason Moxie’s earned any stars in our book.
Great service in the early stages of what looked to be a busy Saturday night. Enjoyed everything about Moxie’s. Varied menu reasonably priced for the location. Convenient parking in the nearby garage (entrance is a bit hard to find if you’re unfamiliar with the area). We circled the Crescent Court Hotel driveway and asked a valet, who directed us to the entrance. We’ll be back.
Delicious and filling! The drinks were interesting and refreshing!
Love the salt and pepper wings!!
We had a Party of 7 for a birthday dinner party. Great care was taken to ensure we had an impeccable experience. Food was flawless- server was attentive and quick. A special thank you to Drew Smith for taking care of us! Highly recommend for small or large gathering, great dinner, or cocktails on the patio or bar. Can’t wait to go again!
I have yet to have an unpleasant experience here. I was promptly and enthusiastically greeted when I arrived, and was seated immediately, even though my entire party hadn't arrived. That was totally unexpected, but greatly appreciated! Service and server were great, as well as the food! My entire party was satisfied, so it was an excellent choice for Sunday brunch and birthday celebration!
My husband and I really enjoyed. He would of liked more vegetables but everything was good and our waiter was really nice.
always great food, best steak around. very friendly staff
I went with my girlfriends for brunch and had a great experience. Not crowded during the day as it is at night. Loved their specialty cocktails. Lovely establishment. Menu is a little short they could expand a bit.
Outstanding dining experience. From seating to the meal. It was great.
