Moxie’s Dixon Road is located in the Sandman Signature Hotel – minutes away from Toronto Pearson Airport and just up the road from Royal Woodbine Golf Club. Our Executive Chef Brandon Thordarson has created a menu offering a wide-array of steaks, burgers, pastas and seafood!
Had the Tuna Poke bowl for lunch - it was excellent - so good!
Such places are truly hard-to-find in GTA. With such a high level of service and product.
Impressed with the staff. There were some large groups, including a closed off area housing a traveling sports team of 40. Lots of staff members to look after them and the patrons. We sat right close to the large group and since there was a separate entrance for the kids to go in and out, and the section was glassed off, it wasn't disruptive or noisy. Enjoyable night - good good and vibes.
We had a great lunch with great service and food.
Awesome to see the news vegan and healthy options on the menu!

Super classy, great experience
I was SO disappointed after a previous great meal, I returned to stay at this hotel because I could order the dish I loved once again. I ordered for takeout. This time it had so much chopped onion it wasn't edible. The onion smell was filling the room. I called the restaurant to ask if they could just make a small kids potion without the overwhelming onion because it was so strong I couldnt eat it- my eyes were watering- they said NO!!
They changed their recipes so the quality of food has definitely gone down. Service was good though
Wonderful place to have dinner.
Really nice ambience with great food and server was very friendly...they were busy, which is nice to see after being locked down for so long.

My guest did ask for his salad dressing on the side, meal delivered with it on his salad. The server did do a follow up and we commented about it, she apologized.
Not sure why on a day where it's 35 degrees outside, the restaurant thermostat is set to 24. Very uncomfortable to eat hot food when you are sweating. Food was great taste but very sparing for the price. Service was great also, our server was excellent.
The food was cold and salty. The drinks were good and the enclosed patio is beautiful.
Good if you want a variety of common dishes and to hang out with friends
I was a bit surprised that the soft boiled egg on my Cobb salad was served cold.
Also disappointed that the staff did not acknowledge my Open Table reservation which caused me to have to correct this oversight...
Service was alittle slow for the bill, but the server looked alittle flustered. We didn’t get one of our apps, and took awhile to always get someone’s attention. Other than that the girls at the front were pleasant, the indoor patio was so nice!
We were impressed with the prompt response to our complaint that the music was so loud we could not hear each other- the manager spoke to us directly to rectify the situation and see if the sound level was better and it was! Definitely would recommend this restaurant!
This location is mostly for hotel guests/visitors...

Receptionist was at the meeting with co workers, so there was a few of us waiting to be seated!
Waitresses came promptly very pleasant, we ordered food!
Food was great as usual!
Had coffee looked after our bill and left

We were surprised the restaurant wasn't busier on a Sunday because it is so perfect for brunch or lunch. The staff were terrific and the menu had a great selection for brunch and lunch. One of us had the French toast. It was huge with lots of berries and sauce and whipped cream. Two had the beef dip sandwich on pretzel bread- fantastic. Both took 1/2 home. This was our first Moxie’s but we will trying the one at home.

Really appreciate the attention the staff paid to cater to my son’s many allergies. They just very naturally showed they were more serious about it than most restaurants I have been.

Unfortunately we received the wrong order, but it was changed right away.
I found that the meal I ate which I have all the time, was not as tasteful as previous visits.
The tuna was not great
Nice atmosphere and great food. Haiky was very attentive and friendly. The manager stopped by to ensure we were satisfied - nice touch.
Good place good food
Good recommendations from the server. Main courses were quite tasty. However, I was sadly disappointed in the white chocolate brownie. It is one of my favourite items here. A few bites into it and something tasted off. I'm not sure if it was undercooked but it did not sit well with my stomach. It seemed more soft and chewy than usual. Thankfully the manager came by to ask which dessert my date and I would like instead.
The service was excellent! The food was great! The location was good it was busy! Will visit again enjoyed the view!!

We have been to this Moxie's location a couple of years ago thinking we liked it enough to go back to meet up with friends.
On this visit it started out well although a bit rushed by the server to order mains when we hadn't
even receivedd our drinks. He was very attentive and explained process when hearing that my wife had an allergy to mushrooms. The main course 3 plates were delivered by someone else and they missed my wife's plate entirely ( she thought we were sharing).. After waiting another 5 minutes our server brought out the fourth plate. In another 3 or 4 minutes he came back with a 5th plate saying he delivered the wrong one to my wife. This was ok however we wondered how much attention was really paid to the Allergy issue when you bring the wrong plate (similar pasta) to the customer with an allergy issue.
The over all food quality was average and better could be had at restaurants with lower prices.
This was a disappointment compared to our experience approx 2 years previous.

Thank you for setting up the table with gluten free menus. There were plenty of options for us to eat. At other restaurants, it is a nightmare trying to find something to eat since they put wheat flour in most of their sauces.

Since the Kingston ON Moxie closed we have not visited a Moxie's until recent visit. We chose this Moxie's because it was in close proximity to our hotel. When we visit TO next time we will be booking a hotel in proximity to Moxie's.
Everything about our experience was great but the service was Amazing. Our server was Oswald who we later learned was a new employee. Oswald was friendly, knowledgeable of the drinks and food menu, courteous and checked back on our table frequently.
The shift manager( sorry cannot recall his name) came by to check on how our visit was going. We gladly reported on the great service we were receiving. We noticed that the manager gave a report of our compliment to Oswald right away. My husband and I are retired managers and we know how important it is to compliment staff promptly.
Once again we had a great experience at Moxie's

Service was subpar; the waiter did not come back at all to ask us if we needed anything else after our food was served. Also had to ask for water since it wasn’t offered. Didn’t seem to be attentive at all.

It would be good to check for any allergy-prone items on the 'gluten free' menu. A colleague had a very bad reaction after ordering from it when we ate there this week.

We had 2 guests in our party with food allergies and they treated this with the best of attention. Both the server and manager were attentive to our needs and recommended excellent choices from the menu to avoid issues. Nice surprise that bottles of wine were half price!

We had a nice location for the meeting and the table was ready upon my arrival.
The reason for my reduced star rating was that the volume of the music on the heated patio was so loud we had to have it turned down to be able to hear each other.
Otherwise Moxie's was and remains a location I would highly recommend
