The overall time we had was great. I was however, VERY disappointed in the bartender. She was very rude and abrupt. It seemed as if she didn't want to be there. Very unapproachable too.
Great meal at lunch. Food, service and setting were just right.
Not worth the price, not good, not even the presentation
Bidding our granddaughter farewell before her college departure plus celebrating her birthday early. Moxie was perfect. Varied choices, all excellent. And then there was that yummy cornbread! Nice birthday dessert plus they remembered to put the “18” sparkler candles that I had supplied the hostess atop the treat.
The hamburger is great and the service excellent, too bad the cookie was old and burnt,..
Indifferent server, Greek salad was pathetic, and the bus boy cleared the table of bread basket, bean spread and bread plates while people were still eating, like he was in a hurry to go home. I haven’t been there in a couple of years. Now I understand why the place was empty at peak lunch hour. Probably won’t go back.
Took my girlfriend here on her birthday and it was outstanding...quiet music, great staff and great food..
Food a little expensive, but the quality of the people and service was worth it
Havent been in a while and its not the Moxie I remember. Had a better menu and service was ok
Moxie is a restaurant that you can always depend upon. The food is consistently very good and the service is outstanding. Our server is excellent and he can be depended upon to get the order correct each time. I recommend Moxie for dinner, lunch, meetings and celebrations. Always feel comfortable and know what to expect.
Our salads were tasteless. Very disappointed
Good food.Waiter was somewhat distracted, but overall enjoyed our evening.
Dined here for a friend’s birthday and had a wonderful time. We sat on the patio, service was great and food and cocktails were delicious. Our server (Tim?) brought out a fantastic birthday dessert- hot chocolate something-without us even asking! The host was also very detail oriented and professional. Even though it’s licated in an office park the patio was decorated nicely and you didn’t feel like you were in a parking lot.
Moxie is an energetic, service oriented, pleasant restaurant. Lunch time is clearly
focused on business people. The portions are large. It also felt like the food is
directed toward relatively young males. And there were many of them having lunch.
There are very few options geared toward lighter appetites, or healthier eating - except for the same old, same old salads. A few interesting options would be most welcome.
Burger was good, not great, but the starter bread and hummus stole the show!
Excellent food and service. I will definitely be back!
Service was very attentive and timely. Food is always interesting as well as satisfying.
Great outdoor dining.
The Seared Ahi Tuna is so good, I never order anything else. Worth it just for that. People who I eat with there love their dishes as well. So good! Service is EXCEPTIONAL. Special requests are the pleasure of the restaurant.
Unbelievable dinner. I have been eating at this restaurant for years and have always liked it. However, they really outdid their self with their halibut and their chicken this evening
I've been doing business meetings at Moxie for years and it's very convenient and the food quality is consistently good. The menu hasn't changed much. For a first timer, that's ok. For me, it's a little stale. Overall I would rate it a positive and a very convenient place to meet prospects and customers who live on the I271 corridor.
We were in Cleveland for one night and based on Moxie's description and menu posted online we decided to try it. We specifically planned to order the pork chop dish and Brussel sprout hash. Our waiter told us the online menu is not kept current and the pork chops were no longer offered. The Brussel sprout was out of stock. So, the restaurant had neither of the two items we specifically planned to order which was very disappointing. We ordered the feature for the night which was a dry aged, prime, rib eye steak, for $60. It was supposed to be 16 oz. so we split the entree because 16 oz. of meat is entirely too much for one person to eat. This was the worse steak we have ever been served. Nearly a third of the steak was fat and riddled with grizzle. We ordered the steak medium and it was not even medium rare...much rarer. The chef should be taken to task for even considering to serve such a horrible piece of prime steak and for not cooking the steak to the customer's request. Based on an out of date, online menu, and the lack of food quality, we DO NOT recommend this restaurant and will not return on our next Cleveland visit. Our server was good, which was the only redeeming quality of this restaurant.
My friends and I enjoyed the food very much. Not so much the service.
Food was creative and good. Service left a lot to be desired. Non-engaging, slow and robotic even though I tried to promote friendly conversation. I actually had to ask her name since she didn't even introduce herself! If service isn't important to you, I would recommend for the food. A bit pricy but wouldn't have even been an thought if service was better. Probably will not return.
So amazing!!! The meat board was the best thing I’ve ever had!!!
the East side's classic power lunch center! Food and service are consistently a strong suite. Interior could use some updating but i understand that is planned for the near future.
Experience was good
The food was innovative, well prepared and subtly seasoned. The noise level was somewhat loud- not conducive to quiet conversation.
Very good food a little on the salty side. I would ask for no seasoning on my steak next time.
Waiter was not attentive and did not check up on us periodically. The restaurant was almost entirely empty on a Friday night. The prices of the food and beverage seemed to have increased without an increase in the quality.
Moxi is a reliably great experience. The food is great. The staff is friendly and professional. The dining room can be a little loud but seating in the lounge is perfect for a date.
I did notice that some of the shrimp in the shrimp cocktail were were not firm but soft. Other than that it was a lovely dinner and the service was super!
Went with our family of 8, 5 adults and 3 kids for Mothers Day brunch. Very nice menu of brunch items, not a buffet.
The food was very good with a spice twist. Korean Chicken and Waffles, Chorizzo stuffed peppers and pouched eggs.
The only problem was the wait staff was over worked. The staff worked very hard but could not keep up with all the tables. Management needs to insure there is enough staff for holiday events.
Mother’ Day brunch was amazing. The menu/ food was great/delicious. Server was very pleasant and sociable. Tulip decorations were a nice touch. Thank for the cookie as a gift for experiencing a wonderful luncheon.
We came as a group and I was surprised to see that most of the tables in this restaurant were set for more than 4 people. The prices are pretty high, but the food's worth it, especially the wonderful steak I ate... I definitely recommend Moxie for special occasions or fine dining.
Everything was excellent. However, the chairs are very uncomfortable.
Upon arriving there was not a hostess to greet us. We waited for approximately five minutes until we were properly greeted. We requested a booth and after a couple of minutes our server Jake introduced himself. He was fantastic explaining the menu and offered several specials. The appetizer ordered was simply delicious and quite unique in that the mussels were very sweet and extremely fresh served in a bath of a mustard jalapeño broth, outstanding!! We also enjoyed a wonderful glass of Chardonnay from California complimenting our entree. The salmon was cooked exactly the way we ordered slightly crisp and flaky while the side order of Brussels spouts and pecans was different but delicious! The meal ended with a surprise desert arranged by a very good friend celebrating our forty eight wedding anniversary. All in all truly a very enjoyable evening.
Moxie has great food and service. It's a favorite spot for lunch or dinner.
Excellent upscale modern American food! This was our first visit and we'll definitely be back.
The food was very good. We ate 4 different fish dishes.
