Food was good, though a bit inconsistent. Drinks weren't anything to write home about and took a while to come out. First cocktail came with stacked dome of ice. First glass of wine came just in time for our entree, but we had wildly different pours. Service was disappointing for the cost. I think it was a busy time of day, but we were essentially plopped out on the front deck and forgotten. Overall, not great value for the experience. Wouldn't recommend.

Great little neighborhood gem!

My family and I enjoyed dinner on Moxie’s outdoor patio as they progress through a soft opening. There were 4 of us at our table. We all wore our masks as much as possible while dining. The tables were six feet apart; all staff were wearing masks and all chairs and tables were being wiped down after each use. The menus were a single sheet of treated paper that is immersed in a sanitizing solution after each use. It was a delightful experience that made us feel safe, respected and valued. We used a $100 gift card which covered our bill and left a 50% tip to help keep this important business going. Thank you all of you at Moxie’s.

I went to Moxie for the first time since the patio reopened and it was a great experience. Hygiene was good, service was timely, and food was delicious as always. We enjoyed the warm weather on the patio without being cooked due to a canopy overhead.

After reviewing their website, I had some pretty high expectations. The actual experience didn’t impress. Food was so so. The Bloody Mary was basically tomato juice and vodka. The best part was the location, with fun shops to hit after brunch.

Once again, a fabulous brunch in a neighborhood gem!

Theresa our server is always friendly and on point! She’s a great asset to the restaurant. The stuffed sole special was outstanding. I didn’t give 5 Stars for overall because I feel they need to change their menu-it’s the same since they opened. But otherwise it’s all great

The meat in my short rib Bolognes was tough and not completely cooked. Otherwise, very enjoyable. They need to pay attention to the quality of meat served!

We had an excellent dinner. We ordered a special salmon dish which was outstanding. We were seated at an end, so noise wasn't a particular problem. We were seated immediately for our 6:30 reservation and had a little welcome sign with our names on the table.

Excellent. A bit slow to get our check. But overall a favorite spot!! And again food is very good.

Already planning my next trip back as I need more of their scallops!

something tells me whomever planned the soups for the day are very disconnected from their clientele being that the choices were onion or corn chowder...on a 15 degree Wisconsin Valentine's Day . other than that the food and service were amazing. i'd definitely come again for every day dining unless it's another freezing cold night. may need to call ahead for soup choices.

Moxie continues to prevail as one of WFB best spots to have a great dinner, consistently. The chicken caprese and scallops were excellent, preceded by a Caesar salad that included optional anchovies and fresh ground pepper upon request. The drink menu is extensive with wonderful whites and reds and beers of the EU. The staff is well trained, including the circulating staff refilling water (multiple times) and clearing of plates. Having a cloth napkin is always a high end touch.

Valentines Day

Despite it being Valentines Day and the restaurant being filled with 2-tops, the service was impeccable and the food was amazing as always.

Moxie serves excellent food with good sized portions for the price. Restaurant is beautiful but a little cramped to fit as many people as possible. Wine was very good. My pasta was good, my boyfriend’s steak was excellent and the bruschetta appetizer is to die for.

Great lunch with family. Very friendly service. I had the quinoa salad with salmon added. It was excellent. My son had the peach bourbon sliders and they were amazing. We also love their (baked) fries. Moxie never disappoints.

Moxie is our favorite restaurant in the city. It never disappoints!

Our server was wonderful and such a cozy restaurant. I was slightly shocked that my salmon special was $32, I wasn't quite expecting that. I thought that was steep for salmon.

Food was absolutely fabulous and so is the service! Took my two nieces there because they had never been to Moxie and they loved it!

We have always had great food and service. Nicholas is one of our favorite servers, but Pam and Theresa are also excellent. The food is always great, and we usually end up getting the special, as it’s always a little different. However, you can’t go wrong with their flatbread, spicy shrimp, or Italian sausage farfalle.

I have been there several times and enjoyed the food. This time I ordered the short rib sliders and they were not as I expected. The meat was cut in cubes and tough, not really done and falling apart as I have always had short ribs. My friend also ordered the same and was disappointed in the meal. I would go there again and recommend to people but I would also tell them about my experience with the short rib sliders.

Usually love this restaurant and the food was excellent, however I specifically put birthday down on the reservation, as it was my friend’s special day and the restaurant did nothing for her. After the host mentioned it was her birthday when he greeted us, this was a bit embarrassing when they didn’t do anything like a dessert or something at the end. They put us at a table right near the door and the four people on the other side of our half wall talked so loud, we really couldn’t hear each other or have a decent conversation.

I felt bad for the waitress as it seemed they were incredibly short staffed and she may in fact have been the only one waiting tables, but it took forever to get our order taken, then a long time to get our check. When we did ask for our check, she came back after about a ten minute wait and said it was lost and could we tell her what we had so that she could re-do our check. Lots of guests there when we arrived were already gone by the time we finally got the check and were able to pay and leave. Not my best experience here and may be sometime before I’m back again sadly.

A noisey, cramped space with excellent service. The chief's special of stuffed soul was without much flavor or texture. It did not taste much better as left overs the next day! Our excellent waitress did comp a desert for us since we were not happy with our main course.

I don't need to go out for dinner and have the next two tables only inches away so that conversation is difficult and private conversation impossible.

This visit was much better than my first, when the salad was skimpy on the featured food and the seating was awkward. We had excellent attention from our waiter and very good food this time.

Love Moxie! This is one of our favorite restaurants. The food and wine are too good.
