   We were seated right away. It is a very small restaurant with no coat rack so you get cramped with coats/purses at the table. Good wine selection. My husband tried a new martini on the menu. He asked the waiter how it was and the waiter had never tried it. I get that. But the drink was as sour as a sour patch gummy and really not very good. The waiter could have warned us. Choked it down. Had a chocolate martini, light on vodka heavy on the chocolate. Not great. Ordered mushroom bruschetta and lamb chops which were delicious. The Ragu was awful. The meat was dry, very bland, and did not taste fresh. I brought it home to make it better on my own! Overall, not that great of an experience.

   Pasta with scallops and shrimp was way overdone, Soggy pasta and overcooked shrimp. Server who is normally attentive wasn't.

   Food was just average. Great environment, drinks and service! Apps are good, entrees need a refresh. Would recommend expanding specials. Also, you sit very close to people. There is the feeling of awkwardness being so close and wanting to chat but giving privacy to others. Maybe it’s just me…

    Had a reservation and was seated on time . Very nice menu 1 of each Steak,Fish, Pork, and a Pasta and A Chicken Dish . Drinks Excellent. Food was also Excellent Just a great find !

    Our server, Tonya was fantastic. Every dish do you licious and lovely presentation. Atmosphere a bit noisy, but happy, joyful noise, Receptionist, helpful, drinks, delicious, nice celebration of an 80th birthday.

    Our Waitress was great, food very good, I ordered a Cosmo for a drink, it was all wrong, our waitress said she would have them remake but it was busy and we were in a hurry to get to a play, so I asked for some extra cranberry juice, Had I known you charge $16 for a mixed drink I would have absolutely sent it back! That is the highest I have ever seen and I eat out often,,,I was even surprised she had it on the bill because of its quality,, but other than that, I had the Salmon Sandwich and side Caesar and they were delish,,NO more mixed drinks at those prices though,, thank you for asking Oh one more thing, the strangest thing happened, I went into the Trouble and Son to make a reservation for 5:45, I made it for 3, saw I had a confirmation but never bothered to read it. SOMEHOW I was booked for Moxie! Not at all sure how that happened, although happy with the food

    Our server (Tonya) was outstanding. She communicates the food & beverage choices so well - what a pleasure to be served with such caring & competence. Had some of the best soup ever before dinner with a friend. Highly recommend Moxie’s for a great dining experience.

    I am so happy Moxie survived the pandemic. What a neighborhood gem and a great place to meet and eat. Anne-Marie is doing an awesome job, and Michelle and the rest of the staff take good care of us when we dine - even when I order off the menu (sauteed mushrooms with my chicken piccata (LOL) and Beefeaters Gin. I would recommend this wonderful place to everyone. Start with the Mushroom Bruschetta, and you will be addicted.

    Awesome meal with attentive staff and attention to water refills and cold drinks and goid wine selection. The shrimp scallop scampi and Neapolitan ragu was hot ( temperature wise) and delish. The highlight was the Cajun-shrimp appetizer with amazing sauce. Service was very efficient with minimal wait time between courses and never delt rushed despite the signage asking you to limit your table time to 90 minutes - small venue. Will be back again.

    I had a great NYE dinner with my partner. The ragu, and martini were wonderful and warming on an icy night. He enjoyed his beef short rib immensely. We decided to make Moxie's a NYE tradition. It was perfect.

    Splendid drinks, amazing creative food beautifully prepared. The nicest, most attentive server that I’ve had in a LONG time. Such genuine charm, interacted with guests in a personal (but not intrusive) manner. For example, asked for my first name as well as my guest and then referred to us by name throughout evening. Also let her know in advance that we had a theatre commitment and needed to leave by a certain time; she checked back twice, just with a gentle time reminder so we wouldn’t be rushed/late arriving. Super classy - the epitome of how service should be. Love this place.

    Everything was perfect for our very overdue date night at Moxie! Our server Alex was attentive and helpful with our service and always with a smile. Our dinner was just perfect. We both had the classic New York strip which came exactly as I ordered, the Zinfandel was delish and our flourless chocolate cake was the perfect ending. Thank you for offering gluten free options! The atmosphere was warm and cozy with the a comforting aroma of charred rosemary from drinks being made at the bar. So lucky to have Moxie in our community!

    Food was good, not great. For my wife's dish said it was grilled vegetables but they were roasted carrots. Need to deliver what the menu states or let the customer know. Service was very good. Nice place to go for the neighborhood.

    We were warmly greeted and seated at a quiet table upon arrival. Our server Nick was friendly and informative. Cocktails were good, the cheese board was terrific, great variety. The entree was a scampi, pasta was cooked well and the seafood very good. The Carolina tomahawk chop was fantastic. We finished with a shared chocolate flourless cake. We were never rushed. A wonderful dinner experience.

    This is one of our favorite neighborhood restaurants. We can always count on good service, delicious food and good selection of wines and cocktails. We only wish they would stock some Port to go with the delicious cheese platter. We will be back.

    I chose Moxie for dinner on a Wednesday night after a stressful workday. I knew before I walked in that I wanted their salmon/ mashed potatoes/ roasted vegetables, and a Caesar salad. All were perfectly prepared and presented and I was in heaven! Ann Marie was the host, and Nick the server, and I was treated like a welcomed friend .
