Chef Vicente Torres and Moxi from Hotel Matilda are rewriting a new history of gastronomy in San Miguel de Allende together. Vicente Torres, a Michelin-starred chef in Spain, joins the Moxi team at the invitation of Mr. Bruce James, presenting a high cuisine concept with Mediterranean touches. The inspiration for Moxi's menu comes from the environment, from small producers who, for me, are artisans and a fundamental part of our team. From organic gardens, their colors, aromas. I like to define the type of cuisine as product-based, with Mediterranean touches. We seek to have the best product in order to offer the best experience to our diners, so they can enjoy it in a unique setting like Moxi.

Overall we had a really nice dinner at Moxi which is located in a cute boutique hotel with a nice quiet vibe which we appreciated. The bread and complimentary lobster bite were to die for. Insanely good. We got the tuna carpaccio and shrimp ceviche and both were quite good. My husband got the fillet which was excellent although the sauces didn’t seem right somehow. I got the burger which wasn’t great although as American’s were not used to grass fed beef patties and they we just not great to be honest. So that was more my fault. I’ll know better next time. Good fries though! I’d give it 4.5 stars if I could. Worth trying if you’re looking for a nice quiet upscale dinner.

Wow!! Best Experience on all sides! Fernando Deluvered the most perfect Michelin / Forbes Five Star Service to Every Detail! Food Executed perfectly and flavors so well blended. Might go back tonight as was spectacular!

The wait staff and hotel staff are all wonderful. The setting is beautiful and relaxing. We went for our anniversary because we thought it would be special. Both fish dishes we ordered were unimpressive, the sauce on the sea bass was unappetizing and the fish overcooked. They didn’t have the lamb on the menu which my husband would have ordered. It was just very disappointing.

We were on time for reservation , but my we had to wait because they were not ready for us. The were kind enough to offer us a courtesy drink in the meantime. The service and the food were excellent!

I can't say enough positive statements about this restaurant. From the entourage that led us to our table to the finest dessert of my trip...this place is amazing! Every morsel of food contained an incredible combination of flavors. Take the time to make every fork or spoonful of food to mix the flavors in your bite. You'll get it! I was introduced to a wonderful Tempranillo to pair with my filet. Definitely, the best reataurant we dined in here in San Miguel.

It was a really surprise this place! I did not have any expectations on the restaurant but became a really good surprise… great great food and good service. Definitely a place to come back in the future and a must in SMA

La comida estuvo rica, pero nada más. El servicio, muy bueno. Nada realmente sobresaliente. El lugar estaba totalmente vacío, lo que convirtió la experiencia en una un poco incómoda.
