Our server(s) were terrific, warm efficient and friendly. The food was good but not commensurate with the price. The outside patio was really nice though.
Our server, Luis, was great. For unknown reasons the host was somewhat baffled about getting us to our table even though we had a reservation and we arrived right on time. The food was good, but portions are ridiculously small for the price.
Food was very good. We followed some recommendations from our server. We sat outside with a view of the pool. All staff were very attentive. The only issue we had was find the restaurant in the huge Phoenician.
Sea bass and chicken were both slightly dry so I was disappointed. The presentation of the asparagus was sad-looking. Enjoyed the charred broccoli and their spinach dip. Would not recommend unless you are staying at the hotel and don't want to go out to eat.
We were disappointed that the restaurant did not offer brunch items. The server was not very knowledgeable about the menu and we did not feel there was a very good selection of food for lunch. The food was delivered quickly and it was hot and tasty but quite expensive.
Great place to be. Enjoyed our experience a lot while visiting.
Resort was lovely, service was great, food was good.
Excellent food and service. Chef Tandy is incredible.
It’s an elegant restaurant with personally attentive service. They called us by name to seat us and when the server addressed us at the table. In general the service was impeccable. They are very attentive but not intrusive. They made wonderful recommendations for meals. Everything was cooked and plated perfectly. The restaurant is beautifully appointed and we sat outside overlooking the pool. I would highly recommend for a romantic dinner or special occasion.
What a fabulous lunch! We were celebrating and M & C was everything we hoped for. Our waiter Christian was super as was the view, ambiance, food and drinks. Very special :-)
Just perfect all around!!
Out door seating very nice atmosphere
Good food and ambience
This was a little more casual than I was expecting. Because it's in the hotel you get a mix of people dressed for dinner and families coming from the pool. I would not go back unless I was staying/swimming at hotel. Food was good and service was as good as it could be during this difficult time for restaurants.
The food is outstanding. Great ambience and service.
Loved the breakfast menu- so so good.
Dinner was outstanding.
The ambience was excellent, and the temperature was perfect for sitting outside. We didn't realize that the restaurant was part of the Phoenician Resort, which may have been good to mention on the listing. All in all, this was a definite REVISIT! And our server was wonderful. We highly recommend Mowry & Cotton!
Recently stayed at the Phoenician and this restaurant was delightful. Gorgeous patio seating which overlooks the pool All of the wait staff gave excellent and attentive service. Went for lunch and a dinner. Menus had plenty of options, our table mostly had salads, appetizers and light dinner options. Nice cocktail list as well.
We went for our daughter's birthday and the entire experience was a let down. Our waiter was just not engaging or helpful with the menu at all. The short ribs were still very fatty and grisly....I getbthat it is a fatties cut but I have had it elsewhere where the fat was rendered and meat was tasty...this was not......and the Indian spice cauliflower was not good.....it was dry and the spices were not enhancing the cauliflower.
Excellent! Beautiful views atmosphere and good food!
Overall okay but not a very attentive waiter.
Love the ambiance, the hospitality and the elegance of the whole experience. Food was great specially the short ribs, wonderful marbling. Perfect with the grilled Brussels sprouts. Dessert was also fantastic
Enjoyable evening outside, tables overlook the large pools at the back of the Phoenician. Menu a bit limited, food was ok, not a gourmet dining experience, servers had to be told who got what.
Our dinner at Mowry and Cotton was ordinary. The avocado Caesar salad was ok but with lots of slices of Parmesan and not genuine Caesar dressing. My skirt steak was smoky which diminished the flavor of nice cut. The filet mignon was very good. The star of the dinner was a lemon meringue tart.
The server was excellent. It’s also a nice ambiance looking out at the pool area. The food is just average.
First and last time at Mowry & Cotton. Server acted like he did not want to be there. We both had beef dishes and both were badly under cooked. Server never returned to check on us so we had to deal with what we received. Menu was very limited and both of our entrees were grossly overpriced. I almost never write a negative review, but Mowry & Cotton may even deserve a more negative one than this.
Service and food was sub par at best. The waiter was rude and had a terrible attitude. The chicken was mealy, tough and overcooked. Food quality and portions was unacceptable, way overpriced. We've had better meals at Denny's. The view and ambiance was very nice. Would not eat here again.
Great atmosphere Plenty of outdoor dining Food was prepared as ordered
Server Jacqueline was terrific
I usually have really good food here -- ordered a Caesar salad that had very little dressing -- I asked for a little more and never got it.
Looking for a lunch spot with patio dining. Pretty basic, poolside setting. Crowded & noisy with big groups & families. Nothing special.
Pull apart bread appetizer was superb! Patio ambiance was beautiful.
Food was disappointing. Had dinner, ordered the seabass and filets. Both overcooked.
We had a 615 reservation while staying at the resort. We came by mistake at 5:30 with two tired kids on east coast time. There was not one single person at any table. Zero. When we went back at 615, only 50% of the tables were occupied. So the same table we asked for at 530 and would have been in and out of sat empty. Just terrible service. Why 1 star? Because they did the exact same thing Easter Sunday. So many open tables, but they "couldn't" get us in earlier. I fully understand restaurants and seating and that this had nothing to do with Covid, as tables were spaced, just poor management. Very poor. Costing themselves customers poor.
The server on Sunday was excellent, I believe Kellen or Keller? I mean top notch. Food was great for brunch. Dinner was fair. The biscuits were great as was the burratta.
Great Easter brunch
Our group was very unimpressed with this restaurant. The menu was extremely overpriced for the food and drinks. Both were underwhelming. The ambiance and service were lacking in many ways.
Food was phenomenal and service was too!!
We expected a much more elegant menu given the top quality of the hotel and their award winning honor of best new restaurant in 2017. After we moved past that surprise we settled in for some regular ole comfort food and all turned out fine. Wine list is quite interesting, but would seem to pair better with a bit more upscale menu. Server did a fine job.
Noise level is not moderate. It was quiet and romantic. (Opentable needs to fix their software)
Our lunch was absolutely delicious and the service by Rachele was great. She walked us through the menu and gave wonderful recommendations. It started to rain during our lunch. We were quickly accommodated at another table that kept us from getting rained on.
I look forward to coming back for dinner as the menu looks stellar!
Outrageously expensive and not good at all. Dishes missing components and overcooked.
Outstanding service. Very comfortable, with proper spacing and patio heaters. The meatball starter is not to be missed.
We could not have asked for a more serene location on the patio - facing the pool and the Phoenix skyline. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and asked where we were from and why we moved to the area. Our appetizers were simple, but quite good. The housemade buns with butter and the veal meatballs were a fun start. The wine list is concise, but entirely new world. We enjoyed our California pinot noir, but a few more electic picks would add some versatility to the menu. Our entrees were good. Again, simple, but well composed. The pork steak was a fun riff on Asian flavors, but a touch over salted. It is a beautiful space in a beautiful part of the city. We had breakfast the following morning and also enjoyed our experience. Overall, unpretentious but well done. Stylish but not stuffy. Kid-friendly as well as good for a romantic dinner. Would recommend.
The food was exceptional. Great variety on the menu. A bit pop rivet, but the overall experience was great!!!
