Great cocktails, savory food,, nice ambiance.
Will go back!
Andres was fantastic. He made the dinner so great with his service and friendliness. Also surprised my bf with candles on his dessert which was a nice touch. Great guy!
Our waitress was servicing other tables more so than ours. We had waited so long for her to come back after dinner that we had to ask another server to find her for us. Portions are small, food was good, but not great. Considering the location, I expected the food to be amazing, and it fell short. The calamari was great and the burger my son ordered looked great. But, the salmon is a very small portion, and Mary’s chicken was small as well. The flavor was good, but seemed like both sat a while before being served to us. If I could’ve tipped the support staff instead of our waitress, I would’ve. But they automatically add 20% to your bill for gratuity for a party of 6 or more.
It was a wonderful evening catching up with friends. The service and food were excellent. Can’t wait to dine again soon.
Quaint setting in pretty courtyard. Service was excellent. Waiter made good recommendations; food was excellent.
Great food and service
We stayed at the Phoenician and went here for our anniversary dinner because it was all that was open. The food wasn’t BAD it just wasn’t that great. There wasn’t a ton of flavor, especially in the burger all I tasted was the meat. Presentation was great, service was great, and ambiance was great especially outside this time of year. Breakfast was MUCH better. Dinner was meh. Would go somewhere else for dinner next time.
beautiful view of resort, especially the palm trees!
My wife had the salmon and I had the rosemary chicken. Service was good. We ate out on patio. The dining experience was very good. They should serve bread though to dip in the juices and gravy
Very Covid safe. Great food and service.
We expected to have brunch or breakfast. The menu had breakfast items on it. But after we started to order “brunch” items
we were told lunch only
Almost every restaurant has brunch on Sunday.
So we were very disappointed. The lunch food we had was very good but why show us a breakfast menu if we can’t order from it.
Service was great, our server did the best she could to accommodate us. Atmosphere was odd, cool decor, but very bright. Definitely felt like a "hotel restaurant," we are not likely to return. So many great options in Phoenix/Scottsdale, this is not one. Food was fair, not real inspiring.
Celebrated my husband’s birthday here with a table overlooking the gorgeous pools at night. The setting was as fantastic as the food!! We definitely will be back.
Because the highly acclaimed steakhouse at The Phoenician is closed because of the pandemic, Mowry not terrible. Try for a table on the veranda for a great view of the pool and mountains.
Dora and Britney were excellent and so friendly thanks for a great experience we will be back.
My kids and I are staying at the Phoenician and we love this restaurant! Our server, Christine was absolutely awesome! She was so accommodating and yet solicit ll you distanced. We truly enjoyed our time with we and learned about her life while she inquired about ours! We would come back again...just for her (but the food is fabulously fresh and locally sourced)!
I wish I could say this was good but not even close. This is a LARGE resort that according to staff is more than 90% full this weekend yet they only have this one restaurant open and service and wait time and food quality has been well below average. They really should have increased staffing for food and beverage. We are at Canyon Suites, the Five Star area of Resort and it is sorely lacking what other lesser starred resorts have managed to do and provide during these challenging times.
We arrived at 11:30am and were asked if we would like to order off the breakfast or lunch menu. Very accommodating. Must try the eggs Benedict!
Fabulous waitress!! Food was sooo good. I’m vegan and the chef was able to whip up an amazing dish for me. Highly recommend!!
Disappointing dinner experience at Mowry and Cotton! Dish arrived with cold, chewy chicken. Salad was the most bland, uninteresting, and very small for the price. Specifically requested certain ingredient not be included in dish and it was. Steak ordered medium rare arrived well done. Just locals who thought they’d try the restaurant but won’t return.
Too cold outside to have misting system on. Portions of pasta were small and the pesto was over salted. The drinks were not what we expected. Too sweet. Overall, it was Applebees food with resort prices.
The food was very good -- clever sauces and nice use of varied ingredients.
Service was adequate. Our waiter was friendly and attentive and gave helpful advice about the menu. But he forgot to put the lime in the seltzer when requested, then forgot AGAIN when we asked a second time. He brought it the third time. Also, him saying "wow, I can't believe you ate all that food" really didn't suit too well with my date.
The ambience will never be great at the patio above the pool, but it could be ok. The evening we went they had the misters running even though it was too cool, making us cold. We didn't want to move inside due to Covid. The wait staff apologized but said they learned the night before tha they couldn't turn the misters off during dinner because they would drip. Let's hope the restaurant has learned to turn them off an hour before dinner.
Overall, we enjoyed it enough to go back.
Dora was very professional and courteous, as well as the backwaiters and other staff. We were sat without an issue, which nowadays isn’t typical... even with a reservation, at most places, there always seems to be some excuse to make you stand and wait, but that was not the case here. It was a hot night, but the misters were on in the patio. We had a great night and Dora even brought us each a complimentary glass of champagne as we were celebrating our anniversary. We finished the champagne upstairs on the balcony overlooking the pool. It was a great overall experience.
Dinner for 2. Reservations @ 6pm. Veal meatballs were great. Salad with pheasant was very good. Good IPA draft. Prickly pear mimosas for my wife that she enjoyed.
We sat outside for lunch as they had misters. Service was top notch. The fries were some of the best! We are locals and thought this would be too touristy but we will return!
Great location. The patio lights were a bit on the bright side and it was a tad noisy. That said, there was a rather large group behind us which probably added to the noise. The food was good, a bit too salty for my liking. The service was cheerful and polite. We will give it another try once we have tried every outdoor venue locally.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing service! Will definitely be returning
We had a wonderful time! The food and service was exceptional! Look forward to going again soon!
Great food and cocktails!
The kitchen was very slow. Dinner took 3 hrs and the food was cold when it finally came. The server was very apologetic and accommodating. We ate outside and it was lovely and quiet. We did not mind waiting between courses because we had friends to chat with.
Service was slow with server avoiding the table until food arrived. My flatbread appetizer was cold of which I informed my server. Our main course took a while to arrive and my dish was cold again. Manager did give me some credit on my bill.
Very disappointing on all fronts. Requested table outside on reservation. Hostess started to seat us inside. I pointed out the 8 empty tables outside and reminded her that we requested outside. She said they were fully booked and seated us inside. I watched and those tables never turned.
The seats at the table were uncomfortably low, especially the bench. The interior decorator obviously never sat in them.
Service was slow, inattentive, and intermittent. Except for the servers who interrupted us twice to try to give someone else's food.
Wine list was OK, but nothing special.
Menu was limited.
My ribeye was nothing better than I could have ordered at Texas Roadhouse.
With so many outstanding restaurant choices in the Phoenix and Scottsdale area, and with little that went right on this visit, I cannot see a reason I would return here.
Our first visit to this restaurant since changing over. We ate early so no crowding. Service was good and all staff took proper COVID precautions. Meal was shared Caesar salad, filet, shrimp pasta, and lemon mersngue dessert. All delicious. Plus scenic views outstanding
We went for AZ Restaurant week. We had the crispy calamari which was delicious. i had the prawns and pasta which was excellent, my husband had the hanger steak. The dessert was lemon pie and it was just the right amount of sweet and tart.
We sat outside and the misters were nice to cool down the heat, but the lighting was very bright and harsh for a nice evening dinner. The server was very rushed and seemed impatient. The food was ok but not great. I had a pasta with prawns and it only came with three. Pretty skimpy for the price. Will not go back again.
Beautiful view of the pool with outside seating. Service was outstanding, food was excellent. All around perfect meal.
Everything was good except the food. It was just so so. Very disappointed in the quality of the food. We love the are but we will not go back to dine.
We arrived a few mins late (8:16pm) due to our uber cancelling on us and having to re-order. We apologized when we got to the restaurant and understood if they were not able to seat us. The hostess was very polite and sat us right away. Our server on the other hand, was rushing us the entire time and was annoyed when we ordered two appetizers and a salad to share. Keep in mind we each had two drinks and the placed closed at 9pm so she made a decent tip.
This restaurant is adjacent to the large pool area and is quite casual. We were disappointed at the view from the patio and the background music. Servers wore jeans & forgot to bring us silverware as appropriate. Food was good but nothing was exceptional. The heirloom salad was beautiful and the sauce was very good. I love tomatoes but even for me it was too many tomatoes and it needed to be paired with something other than 2 lettuce leaves and a miniscule sprinkle of bacon shreds. My hangar steak was good but again, only served with mushrooms and it desperately needed a starch or additional vegetable of some kind. My lemon dessert was a simple piece of lemon pie with 3 tiny meringues on top. We visited because it was Restaurant Week, but we won't return.
We were there for Restaurant Week. Service was great, even though we had newer employees. Food was delicious. We sat outside, which was very pleasant with the misters.
