This is a very odd place. We were expecting a nicer dinner spot and definitely did not get that. We decided to get drinks and an appetizer. My sweater weather was okay but my husbands beer was warm. How are you a brewery and you serve warm beer? We got the pork fries and honestly they were meh. There were burnt pieces in them, they were drowned in bbq sauce, and there was barely any cheese. We actually ended up going to eat dinner somewhere else as like I said this is not at all what we were expecting. Very weird place and experience. With so many other breweries around here I don’t know how they’re still in business.
My family was there for dinner at 6:45 and there was already someone there playing music. It was very loud. I would suggest not to start music until 8:00 after the main dinner rush is over. Other than that, we really enjoyed everything else.
My husband was playing music. We had 3 different groups of friends meet us. You gave us the great big table by the window and because of the benches we were able to keep adding friends. Thank you!
Great local restaurant with a family friendly/hip atmosphere. Great food. Great drinks.
Excellent food right outside of Hershey. The live music was great too!
Awesome beers and pickle sampler. Short rib grill cheese was good. Chicken sandwich was good.
We love visiting Mt. Gretna Craft Brewery for our date nights!
Great atmosphere! Live band was great! Beers were delicious. Food came out cold and I think they may have just been short staffed. (Like everyone else). Not their fault! Would definitely go back again
We went to celebrate our friends 30th wedding anniversary. The food and and drinks are amazing. It was a shame that they are understaffed as we were seated at 530 and didn’t get our food until after 7. I hope they get help soon as it is a great place to dine!
The place was busy and vibrant. However, our food was served cold, and the pizza was under cooked. We had some issues getting drink refills.
We were there for Sunday brunch. The food was fantastic. My husband had the breakfast burrito and I had the frittata. We were both thinking about them the next day. My only disappointment was the coffee. It was a bit bitter for me and it did not stay warm in my small cup. We were there when it opened and kept our jackets on because it was quite cool. All in all, well done.
Our server was definitely overworked but never complained and was great for us! The music was great and fun. I think we sang the entire time. Will definitely return.
Server not very productive tried to take every table drink order and then food orders. All food came out cold and I had to go to bar and pick my own drinks up because server not very organized Prob won’t be back anytime soon. Shame because beer is really good.
We had a great experience all around as usual!
Good was excellent but it waitress was not very attentive. Trivia was fun!
This is a great place to visit for delicious beer and good food. They even have wine and beautifully handcrafted cocktails, all made at locally.
The atmosphere is fun and friendly. You owe it to yourself to grab some friends and check it out.
Good beer selection and limited, but enough in food variety. Food and beer were good (not great). Is worth checking out. Atmosphere was typical for smaller brewery.
Solid beer and good food!
There was lipstick on the water glasses when we arrived and the silverware looked dirty as well. My daughter ordered a cheese pizza, and the entire crust was burned so badly you could smell it.
I had the chicken tacos, and they were very good. Someone else ordered a burger and said it was good as well.
Unfortunately, due to understaffing there were no entrees being served. Also, I ordered beignets for dessert and was told they were not serving them either I ordered the peach, buratta salad which someone had reviewed as excellent. It was not! Very little lettuce on a bed of ricotta cheese. The "smoked peach" was tasteless and hard as a rock. I don't think it was a peach either, more like a nectarine. Extremely bland dressing. Very disappointing! Chicken wings were flavorless too. The 717 sandwich had good reviews from my dining partners. However, the fries were out of this world! I'll give it another try when they are better staffed.
Nice outdoor dining, great food
Wonderful fry appetizer and peaches and burrata salad to help lay a base for their new stratospheoric hazy ipa. Roasted peaches with almonds were a nice compliment for mixed greens in a light vinaigrette and the fries with jerk seasoning and pulled chicken were delightful.
Waitress was very nice and attentive. Out of the meal that I wanted, ordered a burger as did my son which has fried onions and both came out without onions and. Dead lettuce. Apparently chef is new but it’s a basic burger on the menu. Ambiance was nice.
The food is great, but the menu is small and overpriced. The service is always just okay.
Visiting the area. First time at the restaurant but would go back if visiting again.
Wonderful food and menu. Great atmosphere. Our waiter was kind but a little shy and never introduced himself. All in all 5/5
Nice atmosphere, delicious food and wonderful service.
Worked out very well for a small work gathering to celebrate project success
Me & 6 friends went to have dinner. We arrived at 6:30pm. They were very busy. Placed our order around 7pm. By 8pm we haven't gotten our meals. Apparently they lost our order. They took our orders again. We asked them to place our food in to-go containers. We ate a little bit, took the rest home. Our waiter never apologized for the mishap. My husband and I have been there multiple times, never had an issue. We still plan on going there. Food is delicious!
Great place awesome food beer and service. We definitely go back again and bring some friends, Thank you!
What a great find! Great menu with good food selections for all ages. Unique offerings of craft brews to suite all tastes. Live music that was appropriate in style and volume. Rustic charm and good seating layout. Try the 717.
Waitress had no idea what was on the menu or what came with what entree.
Excellent food, beer, entertainment and service! Highly recommend.
Slow service with drinks and food. The restaurant was only at 50% capacity and it took 45-50 minutes for our order to arrive at the table.
Graduation - family celebration
Great burgers and house made fries. Delicious Cerveza. Service was very good. Slightly off the path if you’re staying in Hershey with the family (about 10-15 minute drive), but overall pleasant and experience with quality food.
I love this restaurant. Everything about it is done extremely well. We will definitely be back!
We stopped in to try the beer, and stayed for trivia night. Food was good but not great, and the beer was tasty.
I made a reservation for Saturday, May 8 at 6:45pm for 3 persons. I had decided to try MGCB again after not returning after another poor experience over a year ago. Upon arrival we were "greeted" my a young woman / hostess who had virtually no personality...not a great job match for her! She told me that our table in the back was being used by the chefs and that she would tell them to move since we were ready to be seated. In a few minutes she took us to the table right next to the restrooms and kitchen doors...I told her it had not been cleaned after the staff had moved and she said she would clean it. When she returned I asked for another table close to the front of the restaurant since I had made a reservation and did not want to be so far back. She then said that they were preparing for Mother's Day Brunch (the next day) so could not seat us near the front (???). She then took us to the "side" room and gave us a corner table - a little better than the small original table but extremely noisy with families with children whose parents were basically letting them run wild around the entire dining room.
While we were waiting to have our orders taken at the new table, another family was seated beside us. A waiter came to them and took their order even though we had been there prior to them. He then came over to us and said he was sorry and that he could take our drink orders. We told him we were ready to order since we had already been waiting a while. However, his response was..."your waitress is busy so I can only help her out." He must have seen our displeasure because he did go ahead and took our full order for food and drinks.
When food arrived 2 of our 3 orders were fine. The Chicken Tacos meat was very over cooked and dry; the shrimp tacos and the fish & chips were fine. But the overall value for experience AND food were very poor - with tip almost $75.00.
