Good recommendation from the server, very nice. Food was delicious, good combination of different flavors, took the duck and was very tasty. Choice of drinks are considerable and a nice dessert menu. Would recommend.

A beautiful restaurant in Emerald lake! We had the atlantic salmon and beef tenderloin. Our meals were delicious a very well presented. Dessert was warm peach galette with ice cream it was good, the galette was a bit hard to cut and had simple taste. There are many other options for dessert though! We had a table by the window with the view on the lake. It was a perfect evening! Thank you Mount Burgess for the excellent service!

This is the “top” dining room at the Emerald Lake Lodge. The Lodge positions this restaurant as “fine dining” however it really isn’t. Instead it is a typical hotel restaurant that is expensive. Hostess staff undertrained as my wife and I were told all window tables were taken and they wanted to put us at a lousy location for two in the restaurant. We had to escalate to the manager who then gave us a nice table. We also note that other window tables were open through-out our dining experience. The food is just a “B.” Some good dishes and some disappointing ones. If were to go back I would dine in their regular restaurant that is considerably less expensive and just as good (as we dined there the first night of a two night stay).

Absolutely amazing food and experience. By far the best meal we’ve had on our trip through the Canadian Rockies. We had Salmon, Halibut and the Buffalo Ribeye. All were incredibly delicious. The preparation and flavors are unmatched. Compliments to everyone in the kitchen and wait staff for a great dinner and evening.

The service and view were excellent but unfortunately the food was not. Fish and streaks were over cooked, presentation was just ok, prices were very high. Cocktails were hit or miss. If you are staying at ELLodge then it’s a solid option but if you are driving in from elsewhere, it’s likely not worth the drive.

we booked the table 3 days before requesting a window seat with a view of the lake. we checked with the booking lady Isla ( I assume maitre d') an hour before we sat down and she said she would give us a window seat. when we arrived for our meal she then gave us the worst table in the restaurant next to the kitchen door. she promised to relocate us as tables came free which she did not then do. when we asked to move to a vacant table we were told the empty ones were all booked. one was taken by a couple who only booked that night when they checked in with us. all in all we felt Isla was dreadful and rude and obviously wanted to be seen in charge. we were not rude and did not raise our voices. it was the last night of our 2 week fantastic trip to Canada and Isla ruined it completely. i felt she was out of her depth. the young Canadian waiter was great. the food was good, maybe a bit over priced, but was from a very limited one page menu, compared to a ridiculous wine list over 40 pages long! . additions, flavours and garnishes were over done on all mains. great location - eat in the bar
