Dylan was an incredible server. Both the food and drink were very tasty and delecant. I highly recommend the maple old fashioned.

Food was amazing! I ordered tenderloin and my wife ordered the salmon. We both thought it was the best meal we’ve had in a long time if not ever! Would drive from Calgary just to eat dinner!

At a high end dining room, coffee and food being served should be hot

Every time my husband and I eat at Mount Burgess dining room we have an outstanding experience. It is quiet and romantic, with beautiful views of the lake. The food is memorable and of the highest quality, as is the service. The maple smoked old fashion had quite the presentation that made it more special. It is truly a must-eat at restaurant for anyone in the Lake Louise/Field area.

A little overpriced for what you got, but can’t beat the service, the views, the overall experience of dining there is lovely. Very accommodating to a vegan diet as well.

We purchased a weekend from a silent auction. Great restaurant. My only complaint (and it’s really not huge), was that our table was set so close to a party of 4. We could hear their entire conversations.

I surprised my girlfriend with a trip to emerald lake for her birthday, so wine and dining her at the Mount Burgess Dining Room was a must. The service was amazing, the food was top notch, and to put the cherry on top, three of the staff members sang her happy birthday as they served her the delicious chocolate cake with candles. Made for a very memorable experience. Cannot thank you enough.

Three of us ordered the duck breast for dinner which was tough. My husband had ordered the rack of lamb which was cold. For breakfast the next morning I had ordered decaf coffee which was extremely weak. The other three guests had regular coffee which was luke warm and when they asked for another pot the waitress came back and informed them that they had run out of coffee beans but could offer an Americano. That was fine and the waitress did bring another fresh pot of coffee after they found more beans. I was a little disappointed with the eggs Benedict as it had slices of cold tomato on the muffin which wasn’t stated on the menu. The waiter for dinner and the waitress for breakfast were very pleasant, the service was great and they did their best to please us.

The view was beautiful. It was quiet. The service was excellent. The meal was one of the best I have ever had. Try the Sable fish! That was our third visit. Every time it is excellent. We will be back.

Not what it used to be unfortunately. Service is awkward, food is poor. Dinner last night we ended up getting a corked bottle of wine - not their fault, they switched it right away. Appetizer was mediocre. Ordered the duck and the “risotto”. Duck was unfortunately one of the worst duck dishes I’ve had - asked for it medium and came well done. Very tough. Risotto was more like a salad that had some grains in it, unfortunately we did not finish it. Dinner was $200 and very underwhelming.

Also here for breakfast as I type this - took a long time to receive water, never refilled over 1 hour. Was not asked how I wanted my eggs done for Benedict assumed they would come soft or medium, instead came hard poached and overcooked. Had to ask server twice for ketchup. A couple next to me is becoming frustrated as well - ordered buffet but food quality is poor, had to switch to ordering off the menu. Cream was curdling, took 15 minutes to get new cream, was not Brough silverware or a mug for their coffee, they had to bus their own table and take all of the dirty dishes and place them on a separate table.

Overall experience seems to be the same for every table - unfortunately overpriced, poor quality food and disappointing serving. Management needs to address this overall.

The good is very good but tends towards the heavy side. The salad was the worst thing we had, not fresh and soaked in dressing. Desserts likewise heavy but good. Waitstaff inconsistent. Some really excellent and some very bad.

Great place to visit but the food was not great. It seems like their staff are not skilled enough to carry out the menu or service that is required for that kind of dining. Food was bland and over cooked

This place was amazing. Food was great, was hoping for a couple more scallops then just 2 for the price but all in all was a great experience. The path way from the lodge to the cabins could use some sand almost fell a couple times but I will definitely be back and recomend this place to anyone.

Located in the heart of Emerald Lake Lodge, great dining experience with original dishes. We had the special 4 courses Christmas dinner and was wonderful.

Wine list is good.

Over all expansive dining experience but you pay for the view, the location, the service and a great chef of the Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts family!

Our server Daniel was lovely & did everything he could to make our experience enjoyable. The main dishes were below average however. CRMR is known for preparing great Canadiana dishes but the “mains” on this menu were not executed the same as their other well known restaurants. Their risotto is not creamy but instead barley like & was in their main veggie dish as well as was the accompaniment on many of the other dishes. The produce is fresh but food temperature was mostly room temp at best. We didn’t experience their breakfast because it was only Continental. A member from our party went to the Burgess for coffee in the morning and was charged $4.00cdn before tax for a to go cup similar to a “tall” size @ Starbucks =(

New menu with a couple of the classics.
The food was amazing and the service was also impeccable.
The wine list could use a couple more by the glass options
(Fyi-No real vegetarian options)

Emerald Lake Lodge is exquisite - the setting and ambiance can't be beat. We were however, disappointed with our meals. We ordered the scallops for an appetizer to share - we received 2. YES, 2 for $22. Not much to share! Our entrees both evenings were mediocre for the price. At $45+ per plate I do expect top notch. Portions were on the smaller size and my chicken was VERY VERY salty. So much so that I couldn't eat it. My salmon the night before was "ok". My partner's wild boar chop was tasty - but again, a fairly smallish portion.

The best thing about the Mount Burgess Dining Room is the view. We had one meal and cancelled our booking for 2 days later. We dined in the bar instead, which was very good. Our view is that it is very expensive for a pleasant meal. Nothing outstanding other than the view.

This venue was at the high end of prices with entrees over $40 and few wines under $65. At this price point one would expect superb quality, ambiance and service, it was mediocre at best.
The elm and salmon were quite good, the sides were undercooked and lukewarm. Tables were too close together, no candles, no music not even fire in the fireplace even though it was -10.
If this venue claims to be fine dining they need to step up their game significantly.

Slow service, we were given dirty paper menus with fingerprints and spill marks all over it. Poor knowledge on the wine being served by staff. On the plus the food was tasty, and well prepared. I would not consider this casual dining not fine dining.

Emerald Lake Lodge is a great place to get away and relax. The cabins along with the wood fire places are fantastic and the people who work at this facility are so friendly and make you feel at home.
Food was great at the lodge restaurant. Dinner was superb and breakfast was excellent.
Will definitely be back. Would probably come back to go hiking and boating someday.

We came to Emerald Lake and eloped on the weekend. The whole ambiance of the resort was quite gorgeous and the food was delicious. My only downfall was the level of service and attentiveness at all the restaurants. When you're paying top dollar for a meal out, you expect top service too. We sadly waited 30 minutes for our drinks to arrive at Mount Burgess. We Even ordered a second round and they never came. We made note of our elopement in the reservation hoping to even just get a congratulations (as you would if you made a reservation for a birthday) but no one said anything and we were instead seated right beside a large table of 6 which didn't make for the most romantic of elopment dinner seating. . The server did make a comment when we were paying about how they were short staffed, but sadly I didn't see any one else on the floor helping him out. I worked in the service industry for many years and even just having another set of hands/eyes out on the floor such as a manager making conversation with tables, clearing plates, running food drinks etc would have been much more appreciated. Kudos to the chefs and all the staff running around with no help/assistance.

The food was very good. I had the chicken. It was nice and tender but the sauce was very salty. Service was very slow. The server was very nice, but it took over 10 minutes to first come over to our table after we sat down and another 25 minutes to get our drinks. I think the servers were understaffed, so that explained why they were very slow to refill our water glasses. Overall it was a nice ambiance, but the service doesn’t match the price.
