We had the most amazing dinner at Mott 32 last night. Very, very upscale Chinese food, with superb service (even though they were understaffed), wonderful food, great wine, and an amazing view of the Toronto streets from our table at the window. The restaurant is on the third floor, so when you sit at the window, you get to watch all the people walk by below you. We dined on Canada Day, so there was some great people watching as folks celebrated their Independence Day. I had frog legs for the first time, and the dessert was one of the best ones I have had. AND, they comped us a dessert for my (late) birthday, which was so nice. I even saved the candle. 😆

Food is good, service is good, ambience is good. But I will give value 4/5, since price is indeed quite high.

We had excellent service and the food was delicious. The only negative comment that I would make is that our table was situated against a window with an ugly brown curtain, pulled over it so that there was nothing to view and to the right of us was a clear view of a rather messy looking corridor. It took away from the overall aesthetics of the place.

The decor on the walls feel very dreary, feels negative energy like a place for the dead. Doesn’t feel high end, siu mai presentation looks and taste mediocre. Wok fried beef with flat noodles was dried.

i have been to different mott32 and i visited Hong Kong Mott32 the most, so i would just compare it with Toronto Mott32. Food: Everyone is way too salty, over seasoned specially for the salted egg fried pumpkin and prawn, and asparagus with tenderloin. u can't finish it without a a bowl of rice or fried rice. Dim sum was very average, a bit overpriced for that quality to be honest. fried rice was alright, would be better if the rice came out dryer and more sense of "wok". it was my first time trying taos chicken, a made up asian dish in western places, and it was surprisingly good, basically sweet and sour chicken but replaced with korean style bbq sauce. dessert was alright, nothing special to me. Service: everything is good beside staff were not enough in the floor, i had my hands up for 2mins twice. tho i didn't order the peking duck, the waiter who serve it to my next table was clearly a newbie, and she basically has no idea what she was doing with the knife and duck, and this price i wouldn't be expecting a newbie to handle the duck like this, would be an understatement to say she ruined the duck. Price: one of my favorite dish ( fried abalone)from mott32 is charging double in toronto mott32, sounds a bit ridiculous to me, others except seafood r fine. Overall a below average experience for me at Toronto Mott32, Mott32 in Hong Kong is about two times better in terms of the experience, food quality and price.

My partner and I tried the Duck Experience and it was superb. The food, cocktails and service were both incredible. Our waiter was so enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations for appetizers and a wine pairing. All of the staff were so warm and welcoming.
