The music was too loud which made the restaurant very noisy.
The waitstaff apparently forgot about us at first and I had to notify your manager. The situation was quickly and effectively corrected. We enjoyed our meal and will definitely return.
Our waiter was amazing! The food was really good too! My husband and I both tried different burgers. We love a good burger! The best part of the meal for me was dessert! I was really full but had to try the bread pudding beignets! AMAZING!
The only reason service received a 4/5 is because our server gave herself more tip than what we wrote on the ticket. Otherwise it’s always a great experience.
Place is great and I'm hard to impress all the side items were amazing I didn't think there was much flavor in the beef for the French dip, but the texture was great the dip was amazing everything hand made a little pricey but worth it like this place, great food clean place friendly employees pretty damn good in my opinion
Dined at this location on a weekend and was able to take advantage of the brunch menu. The food was delicious and the atmosphere was perfect for the whole family to enjoy.
Next time I’ll bring a designated driver and take advantage of the unlimited Mimosas!
Food is always fantastic. Great selection. Can be a bit loud with live bands or trivia night.
Attended on a Sunday, late afternoon. Not busy yet. Service was great. Many tv’s with every Sunday sporting event, but it was quiet and we were able to enjoy our conversation around a large table - no shouting necessary. Food was very good. Fried green tomatoes, salads, crab/cream of crab soups and burgers were all cooked well and very tasty. Definitely looking forward to another visit, even though it’s about a 40 minute drive from my house.
We recently moved to the neighborhood so my wife and I decided to give it a try ... it always seems to be crowded and got good reviews. The good news is the burgers are quite good; cooked exactly to order, fresh and tasty. The menu has a lot of variety. The bad news is the service. First, having an OpenTable reservation means nothing. We arrived on time and waited a full 15-20 minutes for our table ... we, along with our reservation, were simply put into the queue along with everyone else who walked in. In addition, the reception staff was not particularly friendly, helpful or communicative. Our server, while pleasant, seemed overwhelmed, running from table to table, but did make an effort to check back with us periodically. And finally, it took quite a long time for our order to be cooked and brought to the table; almost 30 minutes for burgers ... this a place that serves bar food ... it's not fine dining.
Place was half empty yet ran out of menus and coffee mugs. Took 15 minutes to get water. Took longer than that to get coffee. In paper cup. Food decent.
We tried North Grille for one reason-to order the chicken pot pie. However, we were informed that the oven wasn't working and could not have that entrée. We had to order something else. While the food was good, we were still disappointed. Also, the music was being played much too loud-hard to have a conversation.
You all by far have the best Restaurant Week menu this year. It is above and beyond. Staff is on point too
Service was great! Food...I had the grilled pork chop that was the special. It taste like it was burnt. The wings and chicken finger appetizers we had where perfect! The entrees left a lot to be desired.
Crab dip was excellent. Fish and chips well portioned, but fish was a bit greasy. Raven wings were good. Overall, not the best but worth another visit.
As I've said before, Mother's North is always reliable. This time, we were given a table in a corner of the restaurant. Although it was big enough for my group it was uncomfortable. The staff listened to our complaint and immediately sat us elsewhere that was a better fit for us. Kudos to the Mother's staff!
Rachel was an outstanding server!
Love Mother's North - scratch kitchen and great people!
We needed a spot for out of town family and ourselves, where kids were welcome. Our server approached our table cordially but disinterested, which continued throughout the meal. Despite have two kids and promise of a kids menu, it only showed up after we had all ordered. Food was as anticipated: acceptable and straight forward. A simple Caesar with chicken was forgotten. Our server neglected us for most the evening, to the point she didn’t know about the salad, nor a long over due drink check, nor being able to pick up the check itself. Like most other renowned City Haunts that moves to this part of the county in the last decade, we weren’t as impressed. In a pinch we’ll go back but we weren’t made to feel like we were having a special time out spending a lot of money on food.
Lots of noise and TV monitors
We came in from out of town. I did research and picked this place based on the reviews. Bad idea for our group. The food was gross and cold. Don't waste your time going here.
Lobster and shrimp roll was very disappointing, especially for the price. Lacks flavor and was served on a half stale roll.
It was my family of four and my mother. Everyone loved their meals and there were no leftovers!
The waitress met all our needs. The drinks were fantastic with a great variety. We ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizers and it was great. Both our dinners were delish!!! Fast service!
Stopped in after an event.
Everything was spot on
What I love about Mother's Grill is the menu selection. I'm very picky but I can always find at least 5 things to get which is amazing for me. Also the service is great as well as the prices. Great place to eat!!
Mother’s has become our “go to” restaurant when we go out with other families for a casual meal. We often go to Mother’s after sports practices, and the staff is always accommodating.
Typically I order the Buffalo Chicken Sandwich. I’ve had this item at restaurants throughout the Baltimore area, and Mother’s is the best. No question. This time, however, I had the Chicken Pot Pie. It was FANTASTIC. We were there on a cold night, and had just come from soccer practice. The hot pot pie was just what I needed. I highly recommend it.
The beer selection is deep! It has many staples, as well as a nice selection of rotating seasonal brews.
The service was OUTSTANDING. Maggie has been our waitress before and was again on our most recent visit. She is great, a true asset for Mother’s. At the end of our meal she told us that she added an 18% tip onto the check because we had a large group. Many waiters/waitresses wouldn’t have done that. Maggie is a class act.
We will continue to return.
Our waitress Mary was wonderful!!
Thank you! We will be back.
Great time PJ Brunch.
We had reservation we brought in a cake for a bday celebration..ee were seated promptly. First time there.
We had Meredith a delightful person. Very prompt. Although when asked what she recommended. Wasn't informative she just noted high lighted things that were on menu were faves
The Nachos with added shrimp was EXCELLENT
THE spicy meatloaf dinner was hust ok. The broccoli was asked to be steaned well and was hard. But my brother just didnt eat it. My Husbsbd got the filet which was tender but not a lot of flavor .My father had the steak sub it was good. I had the LOBSTER shrimp cobb salad looked beautiful. I bit into the libster chunk spot it out it was sour bitter. MEREDITH BROUGHT ME A MENU and never apologized I did ask her to inform the chef that he needs to check the lobster the shrimp were good. However, I was turned off in my palet abd fecided not to order anything further. I thanked her snd told her so. About 10 min later im not sure who he was a young man appeared at the table AND didn't introduce himself snd said are you going to order anything else ? How rude and unprofessional. . Interrupted our conversation and no apologies. Didn't really seem to care about our experience. We even gave Merdith a quarter of the cake to share with the staff.
I don't know what bothered me snd my husbsnd more , the spoiled lobster or the attitude of the msnager. We did still tip 20% because Meredith was pheasant. And not her fault. We typically tip 30% but couldnt get past the over all experience. Probably will not return to MOTHERS.
The food was ok. I’ve had better service. And the condensation from the air conditioning kept dripping on us. Overall...ok...but I think that was my last visit.
Great food from a scratch kitchen. People are friendly. Great place!
I had a wonderful experience. The gumbo was excellent. My salad greens were fresh and dressing were homemade.
Our Lunch Food was great! Our waitress was not very attentive but pleasant when we requested something.
One of few restaurants that does not give you smaller portions on the restaurant week meal. Excellent dinner.
Our party of 5 ranged in ages of 14-89; this is now our favorite family restaurant. The teenagers said this was the best fish & chips they’ve ever had. Other entrees at our table: steak & smashburgers. Servings and service were exceptional. Mmmm, and so were the onion rings.
A great brunch menu. We were very satisfied. We'll be back again, soon.
Everyone enjoyed their meal but me the fillet steak was very chewy and fatty.
servers were very welcoming, manager went by our table, introduced himself and conversed with us, i had a tasty steak with the best onion rings i have had
all for a very reasonable price
it was me and my wife's anniversary so we were very thankful for the whole experience
Great experience. Inside areas plenty of TVs and sometimes other activities. On the patio live music is fantastic
Mother's has become our "go to" restaurant for a reliable, solid meal and good service. Maggie was our waitress and did a great job.
We will return!
