Austin was awesome. Great service. Yummy food!
The food was good, but we were very disappointed to see that our favorite entree, the surf and turf salad, was no longer offered.
GREAT RIBS AND CRAB SOUP. NEVER HAD ANYTHING I DIDN'T KUJE
The food was fantastic. Simple bar food with a slightly elevated twist. Our server was very attentive and extremely pleasant. Surely worth a return.
This was a great place to take the kids for Valentine's Day! Enjoyed the service and the 80's music of Prince and Michael Jackson.
Our server was excellent however, the rib eye was very fatty and the peppercorn sauce was a thick glob of gravy and very unappealing. The mashed potatoes and string beans that came with it was overdone in butter. However, the mussels were delicious as was the heath brownie dessert. The noise level was so loud that we could really not hear each other at our table but there was some sort of party going on in the other part of the restaurant so maybe that was why. We decided that, based on the looks of the sandwiches going past, we would prefer coming here for lunch.
First, our server Elizabeth was excellent...perfect level of attentiveness without being intrusive, and her knowledge of the menu was spot on. Second, the mussels, honey old bay wings and Americana burger were awesome...and they all came out hot, which is a lost art these days. Only improvement would be a lower light level...it was bright and rather clinical...dim the lights a little to warm up the atmosphere. We will return very soon.
Vibrant if somewhat noisy sports bar. More varied menu than a burger joint. The Gyro was recommended by the waitress but she didn't explain I was getting a lamb burger on a bun and I was a bit disappointed that I didn't receive what I anticipated - sliced lamb on Pita with traditional sauce, etc. I would not order the Gyro (burger ) again for that reason. The turkey burger was reportedly tasty. Price point was acceptable and this restaurant is an acceptable alternative to other burger/bar food locations with numerous sports screens.
For the most part truly met our expectations. I would recommend, food was great across the board. However, there was a problem and disappointment. The drink, I only had a beer due to driving, but we ordered a long island ice tea for my wife. I should have check the price before ordering, something I rarely do; much to my surprise, they charge me as if we were in a 5-star hotel restaurant in Hawaii... no more drinks for us at Mother's.
Great food choices & Restaurant Week menu was an excellent value.
Second time trying mothers north. Found the food underwhelming and the prices astronomical for subpar bar food. Won't go back again
Had a very enjoyable lunch. Good menu with menu choices. I love the onion straws.
Our OpenTable reservation worked great - they were ready for us when we arrived. Our server couldn't have been nicer - attentive without pestering, smiled through all of our requests, especially when we asked to split the check 4 ways! Personally, my Turkey Green Machine salad was over the top delicious. Apps came out hot and the drinks were good (try the Mojito Crush - awesome!) Our group tends to linger WAY after the check has been paid, but we never felt rushed to get out. The single musician sounded great and best of all - DIDN'T HAVE HIS AMP TURNED UP TO 11 AS IF HE WERE PLAYING TO A STADIUM :) Overall, a great experience and everyone said they would be regulars.
Good ribs and good pot pie. The desserts were swallowed up too! We enjoyed the food, though the noise level was high, [a 6:30 res] then the music was cranked up and the noise level went higher. excellent service.
We consistently go to Mother's because there is always great food and service, and it's very easy there - no fuss. We just tried out the outdoor seating, and it was great!
Despite good service and good food, I am continually disappointed the at Mother's fails to have even the basic sugar, Splenda, etc., on the tables. Having been there several times the last few weeks, and commenting on it previously to server and manager, this continued failure to have these or basic condiments at the table, IS INSULTING!
I am not going to steal Splenda packets, and if some poor senior citizen were to do so, let em have it.
GIVE US ALL A LITTLE MORE REGARD AND RESPECT!
Everything was fine but we had to wait a long time to get the check and it was only lunchtime.
Great food and service!!!
We had a party of 18 and the food and service was great.
Had a coupon for 1/2 off an entree. Salmon and meatloaf were great. Service was attentive. Will definitely go back.
The food is enjoyable, but it seems that everything is spiced the same, which can be overpowering and get boring.
Kathy was our waitress and she was amazing. She was very friendly, courageous and attentive. Her service helped make our experience even better
Food was extremely undercooked. Been sick for days.
The manager was very considerate and accomodating!
Overall, everyone enjoyed their meals. I had a Sockeye Salmon special that was advertised as having a rich butter sauce. There was no sauce on the plate or the salmon. It may have been cooked in a butter sauce, but overall it was dry and slightly overcooked. The casino shrimp, tuna bites and crab soup were enjoyed by all, as well as, the jambalaya.
The restaurant itself has a sports bar décor and as such, can get a little noisy at times.
Nice restaurant with a varied menu. Something for everyone. Quiet conversation. Sometimes noisy.
Both of us enjoyed our food and our server, Dari was awesome! She was very personable, around when needed and not overbearing!
The children's chicken tenders seemed like boiled chicken that was then fried. No flavor at all. The rockfish tacos were just ok. Not much flavor other than old bay or blackened seasoning. The pico was bland as was the slaw. The chips that were served, on the other hand, were way too salty. The wings were just ok. There were only 8 wings for almost the same price that you get 12 at Green turtle. Also, the wings may be baked and weren't as good as other places. Our Server was very polite, responsive, and did a great job. Unfortunately, the food needs an overhaul.
You must try the lamb burger.
Visiting family and we were here in April and all wanted to return. The food is excellent! The Rainbow trout special was the best I've had and pan-seared perfectly. The Brussels Sprouts are to die for and all enjoyed Root Beer floats. This was our second dinner here and we will be back on our next trip.
Good bar food, better than expected. Good service. Kids like it too
Food has always been great at Mothers! Highly recommend. Try the ice cream...the best!
Service was lack luster, but the food was decent. We were there for brunch. The mimosas are a complete joke. Sour institutional orange juice mixed with cheap champagne and served in a pint glass. Horrible. Our server gave one of our orders to a another table so one in our party had to wait for their meal. Not recommended at all.
We had a casual Mother's Day lunch here and it was alot of fun. There was alot home team sports and Maryland paraphanelia everywhere. The menu was very Baltimore-centric in my opinion. It was a lively atmosphere that is appropriate for families with kids of all ages. The service was attentive yet casual. I would recommend Mother's to anyone looking for a casual yet lively environment with tasty bar food.
Great food and service. Everything was delicious and the food came super quick.
Visiting my family and found this restaurant on Open Table. Location used to be another restaurant and we were pleased at the casual atmosphere. Food is really good and service very good. Will return!
One of my choice places--I love the turkey and kale salad; it's healthy and tasty. Meanwhile my husband is working his way through the menu. He enjoys each selection while I stick with my salad!
I'm not a big fan of sports bars, and I don't drink beer, but this is now in my neighborhood so we checked it out. The food is really, really good. The bar is really, really good. It is noisy and there are waaay too many TVs for my taste, but the kitchen and bar makes it worth the visit.
We really like Mother's. However, they recently changed the menu and my favorite, the Kale and Turkey Salad, was eliminated!
The waitress and her manager were able to serve me the salad anyway since they had the ingredients still available with the exception of the dressing that used to accompany it. I really appreciated that they went to the trouble to do that. However, without the usual dressing the salad was not quite as good.
I am very disappointed. And, btw, I also used to enjoy Reisling white wine. They removed that type of wine from their bar menu some months ago. Again, very disappointed.
