Great family spot for a solid meal. Our waitress was great, food was good and we didn't feel bad having our 3 kiddos (8 yrs old and under) with us
The place was packed so a neighborhood gem. We had little ones but the kids menu was perfect for them. I had the fish of the day blackened and my wife had the filet. Good but not great.
the workers were so welcoming and the food was AMAZING. wish it was a little more food for the steep pricing (it was valentines day special menu) but definitely everything I wanted and more. candles lit on each table is a nice touch too
We go for restaurant week menu but it’s not worth it with the price. So we order regular menu and the lobster Benedict is great with awesome service.
Loved the bottomless brunch for $20 and the food was excellent. I had the Irish cream pancakes and the crab/shrimp quesadilla! Service was fast and efficient. Would highly recommend and will return!
I was very pleased with my selection and the service I received. It was a very chill environment and seems like the nice neighborhood restaurant. I would definitely go back. I highly recommend the Bread Pudding Beignets.
Straight to the point this restaurant has fallen (gotten cheap on their food Quality and ingredients) over time far as food and service is down. I won't be back!
Great food! Helpings were generous and the atmosphere was very fun.
Good spot for a good meal, diverse menu, lots of Southern and Creole style food along with traditional favorites. My Maryland crab soup and crab cake very good, others at the table enjoyed gumbo, good meals all around. We visited on a Sunday, mid-day, football weekend, so the restaurant side of the house slowly but surely became an extension of the adjacent bar scene; nice folks, just got a bit noisy. Would expect that to NOT be a problem most days.
We frequent Mother's and generally have an excellent experience. This day was an exception, however. The service was extremely slow and our waitress said little to keep us informed of the status of our order or to check on our drinks. After asking another server for a status update, we learned there was a large trivia event happening in a back room and this was the reason for the slow service. (A) It would have been nice for my own server to mention this in the beginning to manage our expectations, and (B) The restaurant knew it had this event and probably could have increased staffing to accommodate. We will go back, but hope for a much better experience next time.
First time here and had an amazing time
My server was nice.
Always good food and excellent, friendly service. My go to place for dinner before music in Fed Hill
Last minute dinner with daughter. Promptly seated and greeted by friendly server. Filet at Mother’s is a favorite and didn’t disappoint.
Our waitress was great & food was vert tasty. There was a strong burning smell from kitchen that was unpleasant & my chair was swaying as it needed to be tightened. I would still come back as food was different & delicious.
Bachelorette - great time. Awesome service and fantastic food!
First time there, my boyfriend had Breakfast which was a simple one I could make at home. But wa fine. Mine got a salad very good.
We went to Mother's on a Saturday night, before an Orioles game. Unfortunately, we did not have a good experience. The food was poorly prepared. Burgers were not cooked to order correctly and the sides were cold (soggy fries). One of the guests did not receive her food with the rest of us, and when the fish and chips was delivered, the plate was full of oil/grease from the fryer and the fries were cold. All-in-all, this was not a good experience. If you're going to Federal Hill, there are much better food options.
Food was really good had the buffalo chicken sandwich and cream of crab soup. Waitress was kind and helpful. Over all great. A bit loud though .
Didn't actually get to eat. Showed up at the time of our reservation, and it was closed!
Love the food, particularly brunch! Hate the noise!
Love Mothers. Best Bloody Marys. Very good selection of meals. Service is great. Breakfast is the best in area.
Service was fast, friendly and courteous. Food was good, not great, but no complaints. Lots of beer selections. This is a friendly neighborhood pub that is in walking distance of the ball park, convention center and waterfront. When I find myself in town again, Mother's will be on my list of places to stop in for a spell.
6 of us met at Mother's for beers and pub food. Mother's offers a good balance between bar and restaurant. The food is not fussy but very good. The food is mostly homemade and of good quality. There were plenty of burgers and sandwiches to choose from, as well as a pretty good beer selection. The staff was very friendly and the service was prompt. I would go back again to start a night out.
The food was so delicious and really was comfort food just like "Mother" would make. The staff was very friendly, oh so nice and attentive. My Husband and I went here during Restaurant Week for a "date night" while my Mom kept our Baby Boy. Not only did they have one of the best Restaurant Week deals around but we loved it and will definitely be back. :)
Have not been to Mother's restaurant for some time. However, went for dinner and had a great time. The server and overall
service was great. The food and drinks were served in a timely manner and both were very good. Will be returning soon.
Food was good and service adequate great place for a large group.
My boyfriend and I love Mother's! It's one of the few spots in Baltimore that we're had CONSISTENT good food and friendly, efficient service. I absolutely love their boneless wings!
We come here at least twice a month, GREAT food, GREAT service, prices are good. Sometimes it can be a little noisy since the bar is so close to the food tables but over all you don't really care because everything else is always so good,
Seemed very busy the night of our visit due to a TV show filming on location, so it took a while for our server to return after delivering our drinks. She was very sweet though and our meal came fast and was very good. We''ll return!
It was definitely busy, which hindered the service a little. Food was good, but not exceptional. Fun and good for cheap drinks.
Downstairs we found that the noise level was way too loud to even hang out in there. It was noticeably uncomfortable. But since we had 8 people, we were set up upstairs and had the room to ourselves, including the big screen tv. And our waiter Brent, was fantastic. The wings tasted very similar, so that was a disappointment. We also tried the special ice cream of the day and that also was sub par. But it was a fun place and worth going back.
I dined here on New Years Eve. Trying to find parking was hectic and I called the restaurant to let them know I would be late. We ended up being 30 minutes late. The restaurant was very understanding about the situation being New Years Eve.
I enjoyed a Blue Cheese Burger. It was good. The burger was cooked to my request - which is always satisfying. The waitress was kind , prompt , and friendly. I look forward to dining here again.
Unfortunately, we looked at the menu and then left. It was pub grub and not the caliber of restaurant we had hoped for when booking. Nothing on anyone's plate looked at all appetizing or even smelled good.
We LOVE Mother's of Federal Hill Grille. The ice cream alone is a reason to eat there.
We stopped here while passing through Baltimore on I-95; easy access from I-95 & convenient parking garage nearby. The entrance opens up into a loud bar. We sat in the back, where it was quieter. The food we had included chilli, charred black pepper tuna salad, crab cakes, and deserts. Very tasty comfort food. Would come here again.
Our server, Kerry(?), was fabulous! She was fun, helpful, provided excellent service and great advice on food, etc. We really enjoyed ourselves and would definitely go back.
It kind of advertised itself as a bar with a fabulous menu but it turns out it is only a bar with pretty good burgers.
