Mot Hai Ba Vietnamese Cuisine
The menu changes regularly and features seasonal dishes as well as Chef Peja Krstic's imaginative specials. Dinner Only. Cozy front room and a lovely patio. Cocktails and full bar.
Birthday with friends. We continued to have an amazing experience every-time we walk in the door. The service is impeccable as the food. The choices in the menu have a variety of things to try and all of them are freshly made and goes beyond saying that there chef knows what he’s doing. The wait staff engages with you and knows you when you walk in. Our favorite.
Wonderful as always!!!!
Great service, food was pretty good, a little over-priced in my opinion for the serving sizes, especially as they are meant to share.
This was my first time and is one of my new favorite restaurants. I wouldn’t change a thing.
This is a must-eat restaurant in Dallas. The menu changes seasonally, but the best items are always there to devour. We always get the green papaya salad and the garlic noodles on every visit. The shaking beef and green curry chicken are solid staples if you can't make up your mind. The service staff is always top-notch and isn't afraid to recommend specific dishes. The cocktail menu changes often but is consistently solid with well thought out spirits.
Mot Hai Ba is definitely one of my favorite restaurants in Dallas.
The entire Mot Hai Ba team is fantastic. From Chris being one of the best waiters I’ve ever interacted with, to the brilliant team in the kitchen. We had a party of 7 they were able to accommodate and had fun every minute... definitely order the tuna tataki, the garlic noodles and the shaken beef. Those are an absolute must!
One of the best restaurants in Dallas. Every dish was better than the last. Can't wait to go back!
Always a stunning meal here at Mot Hai Ba!
Had the most incredible meal. Enjoyed communal seating, waitstaff was perfectly attentive, starters to dessert were full of fresh ingredients and flavorful combinations.
Amazing! Everything was absolutely delicious! Can’t wait to return.
The sriracha cocktail and service were my favorite parts of the meal. They had a marked up menu waiting for me showing which options were okay for my food allergies (GF/DF). This NEVER happens and made things so much easier. The eggplant curry was good, but not the most amazing meal I've ever had. I wish I had been able to have some of the short rib and pork dishes, but they weren't gluten free. The shrimp rice cake lettuce wraps for an appetizer were really good. I will definitely go back and enjoyed the experience.
It was a delicious meal! I can’t wait to go back.
Food amazing as always. Trudy amazing as always 😊
Amazing food and fantastic service!! Great cocktails and deserts were very good as well.
It’s always a pleasure coming to eat here. I mostly stick to my usual plates but I do like trying new menu items. The service is excellent & the food is superb.
Food was great! Community seating so make sure you are ready to sit right next to other people, but food is awesome.
Love this place! Great food, staff and ambiance
The food was quite good but from a value perspective, the menu tends to be overpriced. If there were more Vietnamese restaurants in the immediate Dallas/Lakewood area they would not be able to charge these prices. We were there on a Saturday evening and it took quite a while to be handed menus and provided with water. The waiter also appeared to have far too many tables. Overall, this restaurant has good food, average service and poor value considering the quite small portions on numerous menu items.
Great cocktails and food. Interesting wine list. Shaking beef and dumplings/pot stickers not to be missed. Specials are always special too!!
Food was fantastic. Service was very friendly. Good cocktails and wine. The only drawback for me is the backless chairs.
We ended up sitting at the bar here and had a great time. This is a great place to relax and enjoy Viet-inspired food and drinks.
Absolutely fantastic food! Deserved to win best Vietnamese of Big D.
FABULOUS. GO NOW! Chris is an amazing server!
Always the best.
Everything was great. Definitely going back.
High quality food and service which is an opinion I rarely have. Most Dallas restaurants are mediocre including the more expensive ones. Mot Hai Ba is a very welcome exception.
Great food and service as always!
As always, great food and cocktails served by attentive, informed and ever so pleasant wait staff. A neighborhood favorite.
Hands down top 5 restaurants in Dallas. Definitely a hidden gem. Unique taste, very refined mix of dishes.
Amazing as always!!! Huge thank you to the team there!
My favorite restaurant in Dallas!
Everything we ordered was perfect.
Seating is communal and tight. Prepare to chat with your neighbor. Delicious food. Absolutely delicious.
Truly outstanding food. The pork belly dumplings and eggplant curry dishes were some of the best food I have ever had; drinks were also excellent.
My only negative feedback? Everything felt rushed. More than once my plate was taken away the second I set down my utensils, while I was still chewing. The place had mostly emptied out for the evening and I don't think that they were expecting to turn the table (not at 9 pm on Tuesday night), but regardless of day/time, there's no excuse to rush diners through such an otherwise marvelous dining experience.
99% perfect and will absolutely return and will be telling others about it.
Food was incredibly flavorful and reasonably priced. Service was excellent; our server was friendly and human while still being professional. Ambiance was warm and inviting—nice, without being so fancy that you felt uncomfortable. My 6 friends and I loved it!
The food and ambience never fails. One of the most talented and gifted kitchens in Dallas! Excellent service too!
Great food with smaller portions!
Always one of my favorites. The food is so interesting & unusual. Nice flavors
They are now at the top of their game, excellent food! Full on a Tuesday night inside and out when it was almost 90 degrees. The promised change in decor still needs to happen, sitting on barrels has gotten old. Also, they need to dedicate more time to prepare enough food to meet the demand, they were out of all types of dumplings, perhaps next time...
Food was incredible. The location is small so you are definitely feeling like you are having dinner with strangers. So just go into it with that in mind. Service was also really good
