Our favorite place to go for date night in Dallas. Amazing food (we've had just about everything on the menu), really good wines, great atmosphere, not at all stuffy. First timers: try the rice cakes and garlic noodles. The kimchee and foie gras dumplings and whole branzino are recent favorites. Menu rotates so there's always something new to try. Fantastic restaurant!

The food is consistently good and service top notch. The bar tender gives special attention to each fantastic drink. While it may seem close quarters, you can easily have a private conversation undisturbed. You have the ingredients for a fantastic evening.

We were so greatful to the team for accomodating our guests. They told us they were not able to come due to a family emergency, but then showed at the last minute. This team got us a table for 4 and took such good care of us. Thanks so much. As usual the food was so delish and the service even more amazing. If that's possible. Outstanding. Started with the Banh Bao and it was fantastic - it would be great to split for two - it's two very filling buns - one each would be enough - be sure to get the spicy sauce on the side. Then I had the Shaking Beef - very good - and a side of garlic noodles as recommended by my server who never steered me wrong. Very enjoyable, good crowd, good music. Will repeat.

Mot Hai Ba is one of our favorite local spots - though we also think it's destination worthy! The seasonal menu changes regularly (yay!) But when we can, we almost always order the Banh Bao or the Rice Cakes to start. Dinner options are always fantastic - highly recommend any of their fish, and also the Chicken Curry and Shaking Beef are favorites. Interesting cocktails, too. Service is attentive, kind.

Incredible meal! Each dish was better than the one before! There were only 2 of us but we managed to try a nice variety from the menu: the Vietnamese Rice Cake with Shrimp; the Tuna and Cucumber; the Fried Avocado Salad; Shaking Beef; Seared Scallops; Garlic Noodles; and finally, an incredibly delicious chocolate cake with toasted hazelnuts. The food was unbelievably delicious, fresh and perfectly seasoned and spiced. We absolutely loved the meal - one of the best we've had in a long time. (I woke up thinking about those garlic noodles!) We cannot wait to return!

Have dined here two times. Both times have been excellent. But this second visit, our server, Ashley, was outstanding. She helpfully guided us through menu selections, and every portion of the meal was spectacular -- from the special cocktail, through entree. This is one of my new very favorite places to dine. The stuffed squash blossoms in summer months or its equivalent, Swiss chard rolls should not be missed. Also the fried avocado salad or the Chicken curry, or the Shaking Beef.

When we arrived at the restaurant, the manager informed us that another group was taking longer than expected to finish dinner. She offered our group of 4 some drinks to enjoy outside while waiting for our table to be ready. After a great dinner, we received the bill and we’re shocked that the restaurant opted to charge us for the drinks we received for waiting longer than expected. All of the dishes and drinks were fantastic, but we left disappointed from a service aspect something that was implied to be taken care of we ended up being charged for.
