    We were in Cancun as tourists but craving elevated Mexican cuisine. Thank you, OpenTable, for pointing us in the direction of Mostaza! It was equal parts unexpected, delicious and delightful. We were intrigued by the tasting menu and were blown away by the freshness of the ingredients and the vibrant flavor pairings. We had the wine pairings too, which turned out to be generous and complementary to the meal. Service was caring and professional. My first time knowingly consuming anything with grasshopper in it, and a fruit that only exists in central and South America. Even the more conventional ingredients (steak was in the mix somewhere) were expertly cooked. Best of all, we got out of there for half of what we would have paid in major cities. I would highly recommend this restaurant and this experience.

    As expected Chef surprised and amazed me with his culinary skills and his ability to access and use sustainable ingredients that pay homage to various regions of Mexico. This is where tradition meets modern style and flavors. Each plate is a meticulous display of artistry tempered with a respect for each ingredient. I will return and encourage you to do the same.

    Superb. I visit Cancun once or twice a year. There are several great steak houses (Rosa Negra, Harry’s, etc.) and several great European restaurants ( Peter’s, Les Cepages, etc.) but I have only found one adventurous Mexican chef willing to put a modern twist on the ingredients of Mexico and bring its food into the Twenty First Century. The tasting menu is a must try.

    Es la segunda vez que vamos al restaurante, en esta ocasión llevamos unos amigos italianos a conocer el lugar y quedaron gratamente sorprendidos. Desde la entrada al lugar, así como la oferta gastronómica !!! Gracias por darnos esta experiencia

    The food is generally good and creative, the atmosphere is charming, but service is a bit sloppy. Wine pairing is terrible. Three wines were served. A Mexican chardonnay which was ok, a Mexican rose which was poor and an Italian red which was very bad. There is no wine list and nor is there a menu for the degustation menu. The latter was described as eight courses but it was really five.
