Service was good, atmosphere was nice - was disappointed with the Sunday brunch- Mac and cheese was bland, chicken to chicken and waffle was burned. Panini was dry and hard. Lemonade was lemon water. Was my husband birthday but not our first visit- disappointed with this trip
The food was outstanding, the wait staff was exceptional. I would go back again.
Great location and place to eat being on an old ship. Food was good, but very expensive. Seemed too expensive for what it was, but it was still good. I would give it 4/5 based on that.
The hospitality was one of a kind service was on point I enjoyed a special night with fabulous food and service
Great anniversary dinner, my wife and I enjoyed the grilled octopus and jumbo shrimp as appetizers. The halibut and filet for diner. Great water view, nice quiet table with good service. Went in early April and it was still a little brisk to enjoy the top side desk. Overall we enjoyed and plan to return.
Service and staff were totally on point. We ordered the salmon, very bland, baked potato was very plain. For the price of the dish I expected more flavor. Not worth ordering again.
Overall experience was lacking in value for the price; pesto veal dish was poorly cooked and crafted, veal was tough,
My ONLY complaint was, my food was cold. I ordered the blacken shrimp and grits entrée and the grits were ice cold, the shrimp was somewhat warm and the egg was warmer but not hot. Because it was a birthday celebration I didn't want to be the downer person so I ate what was in front of me and I did not enjoy it. My son and I ordered the Lobster Bisque soup and it was disappointingly cool. I don't know if this is a trend to not serve hot food but I was disappointed.
The service on the other hand was magnificent. My waiter was awesome.
The brunch menu is very limited selection. Especially after having a buffet style brunch to very few choices for breakfast. I wanted pancakes but having Oreo pancakes is to taste specific. I rather step down to another restaurant with more choices.
Was here for a birthday. Greeted by friendly hostess, and seated immediately. Beautiful ship, great decor for the period, (1904). Wonderful staff, more than happy to take pictures of our party! The food (brunch menu) was great. The complimentary coffee cake was house baked and delicious. Worth mentioning was the chocolate babka french toast and oreo pancakes. Nothing was a disappointment. We were invited to stay and explore the ship after our meal. Great experience, would recommend.
We had a wonderful experience celebrating my retirement on Moshulu. We started with drinks up on the deck and then went down for our reservation. We wanted seats on the river side by they are remodeling so we had to sit on the city side. Our service was outstanding and so was the meal. We enjoyed everything from the sushi to the main course. It was a lovely evening.
Great service but my swordfish entree was like a salt lick and there was a private party with a teenage girl passed out in the bathroom so my girlfriend couldn’t use it. Bad taste
We ordered from the appetizers and starters menu and it was just enough food. Nice portion size. Pricey but the food was delicious. Nice quiet atmosphere. For the price of the food I thought the inside would be more upscale. Still a nice looking restaurant on the inside and out.
We had an amazing dinner and cocktails before the Pink show. I had the Octopus appetizer so good. For dinner we had the scallops with mushrooms very good and the veal which was good but I probably wouldn’t get again. Johnny was our server he was fabulous!
Was here for Sunday brunch celebrating my birthday, unfortunately it was a a let down to the celebration. Our food took over an hour to come out and when I voiced concern to the manager, her response was not overly reassuring. When our food did come out it, it was at best warm, probably because it took so long for our server to run it. Besides the beautiful setting and ambiance, the only highlight was the server at the table next to us, he checked in on us throughout our meal and kept us laughing with his humor, honestly he is probably the only reason I'll give this place another try. Hopefully I'll have a better experience should I return.
Been here several times. Don’t mind spending a bit more for everything because the view of the river and waterfront is generally spectacular. This time however we had a view of the parking lot and garbage floating between the ship and bulkhead. When I asked about seating on the other side (with the great view) I was told there was construction which prevented sitting there. Why was this the first time I was told this? There was nothing offered as compensation for the garbage view. The food was excellent as always. The service commendable. The ambiance was well below what I have come to expect. A little communication goes a long way. You even called me that morning to confirm my reservation, and mentioned nothing about one of the best parts of the dining experience which would be lacking. I would have gladly delayed my visit in order to allow my guests the full dining experience.
Great place. Fun atmosphere and fantastic service.
Huge portions. Great food
Dinner in the Moshulu was a delight. Drinks and the whole works. Good food, good service !
We had a wonderful dinner! The ambiance is superb....the staff knowledgeable and friendly. We had the crab cakes and the blackened sword fish and ordered a side of Mac-and-cheese. It was a LOT of food , so we took some home . Enjoyed walking the deck after dinner. Highly recommend.
The place was first class . staff great ! Food was unreal .best chicken ive ever had!
Easter Sunday Brunch was very exciting for my Aunt. The presentation was very stylish. Loved the whole experience.
The Easter brunch was not what we expected. The last couple of years we have been going to XIX for Easter brunch but we decided to give the Moshulu a try and it was not good. Our reservation was for 1pm were told that they were running behind and we would be seated in 10 minutes. That 10 minutes turned into 45 minutes later. They were disorganized some people were given tables that just walked in over people who had been waiting for tables for at least an half or more. Finally when we were taken to our table it was not ready we had to wait for it to be cleaned. We never received a drink menu we had to go to the bar because we didn't realize we could order from our table. Finally after we were seated we went to the buffet and that was a nightmare. There were not any plates. We had to wait for the food to come out. I waited at least 10 minutes on the buffet line for salmon. It was an overall bad experience. The final insult was realizing that they charged us for juice which should be included in the buffet. I had two pineapple juices and my wife a cranberry juice and we were charged for all three. Plus an added 20% for gratuity for lousy service. We will be returning back to XIX next year.
Went for their Easter Brunch...went there 2 years ago and it was a much nicer experience. My party wasn’t aware they got rid of the bottomless mimosa/Bloody Mary special they had for Easter brunch 2 years ago so that was disappointing. It was way too crowded, we waited for over half hour to be seated, the buffet was small and for 3 people our bill came to close to 300 dollars. Myself and 1 other person had 2 mimosas and the other person In or party had 1 drink. There is a 20% gratuity added for drinks separately and also for food. In the end we all did not enjoy our experience and felt that it was kind of a rip off for the limited amount of food and price of everything. Would have been happier going to a bar and having a burger.
First time at the Moshulu was a enjoyable experience. We went for Easter Brunch and had a great time, The food and service was perfect.
The food was delicious and this was the best service that I encountered quite a while.
Everything was going well until they served my husband raw fish - that wasn’t sushi. Yes, it was quickly replaced along with a bonus, but there should have been some sort of quality control in the kitchen. The calamari was superb and the scallops were delicious. But cod should not be served raw...
Beautiful ambiance, delicious food, just overall great experience.
Moshulu was very good as usual. Great food. Wonderful atmosphere. Our server Emmy was sweet and attentive.
Amazing food with a fantastic view of the water, along with great service.
Very cool experience! Jesse gave us a tour of the ship. Very knowledgeable. Food was great would definitely go back.
We went for a Sunday Brunch and found the food was delicious and well prepared, the service and ambiance were delightful -- highly recommend this as a good place for a delicious meal.
Great restaurant nice location, scenery, and good overall service. Good spot for a nice night out.
Girlfriends birthday dinner we both ordered Ribeye mine was cooked perfect med rare but a lot of fat, she ordered hers well done and it came out very red in the middle, she was disappointed and we had to send it back, when we got it back there was still red in the middle. Overall very disappointing probable would not go back.
Steak and swordfish surpassed our expectations. Will gladly visit again.
Haven't tasted food this delicious ever. The staff made us feel right at home and their suggestions on what to eat were excellent!! Yiu cannot lose in selecting this location for a night out!!
It was a great place for a Sunday brunch, food was delicious, reasonably priced, loved the drinks, and service was perfect. We asked for a quiet table and the hostess was ready for us and had the perfect table set aside for us.
Relaxed atmosphere, not rushed time to enjoy our brunch. We had eggs Benedict with crab cakes and cream spinach 5 thumbs up. Endless Bloody Marys as well. All around great experience.
I wish they had some music not loud in the background instrumental, jazz....
