My girlfriends and I came here for a birthday brunch while visiting from Chicago. We actually didn't realize this restaurant was situated on a boat - we were drawn to it for the bottomless bellinis. Boy, are we glad we came in. We sat in a booth and looked out onto the water from the windows while we dined. The bottomless bellinis were delicious and we were told we could even switch between drinks that comprise the bottomless menu. The three of us shared the fried chicken tenders, belgian waffles, and veggie benedict. The food was good, not great, but we really enjoyed the ambiance, drinks, and our very energetic and friendly server. We will definitely be back the next time we're in Philly.

My husband and I went to the Moshulu for my birthday which was 1/13. This is not our first time there but it will be our last. We did arrive an hour early and they were able to accommodate us. But it went down hill from there, we ordered our appetizers cocktail shrimp and lobster bisque. The soup was just warm not hot and his shrimp cocktail on was only four shrimp that were not colossal shrimp compared to other restaurants who serve the same dish. The entrees were the jump-lump crab-cake and striped bass, our food was not hot . My lump cake cake has no flavor and my husband hated his entire dish the bass was slimy and the rice bed was hard and it was cold . i also order the crab ac and cheese that had no crab . That was the reason we came back to the Moshulu for dinner but was highly disappointed. They served use flat ginger ale,Im sure it was mixed with water.
Oh and lets not forget the sliding table that keep shifting out the entire night. We were told by the waiter to not lean on the table so it doesn’t move but we sat in a booth the last time and didn’t have this problem. It was kind uncomfortable eating cold bisque while holding onto the table at the same time.
It was also a couple there arguing the whole time loudly. No One on staff asked them to lower there voices.

This was the worst birthday dinner for $200 bucks (we still tipped the waiter 40 for under average service)Even though he visited out table a total of 3 time the entire night one to take out oder, two to bring our drinks and three to give us a bill. How ever they party sitting behind us he visited their table frequently to ask them if they were okay

This was just a night of bad food and bad service.

The food was amazing hands down. The only negative was we saw a mouse run across the floor. But honestly the food and service were so good it didn’t really matter. Pricey but worth it.

We had the half mass appetizer, Sushi rolls, crabcake dinner, and even though we were too full for desert they gave us complimentary "Happy Birthday " sorbet. We had a beautiful view of the Ben Franklin Bridge all lit up and the river. Our food was impeccable. The freshness was a joy in every bite. Our waiter paired our wine for us, as well as answered our questions about the food. He even gave us a Champaign toast on him. Thanks again Cordell. We had the best first-time at Moshulu.

Forgot my husband's birthday sorbet after I called that morning and they confirmed when I came in and was waiting for him. Extremely disappointed. Just wanted to have something special for birthday dinner . Also there was almost no one in the restaurant so it's not like they were busy. Meal was about 135 with no drinks or dessert, so for that price and no other customers, expected the tiny sorbet with candle to be brought out with our coffee as promised. Overpriced and wouldn't return but would probably be nice for drinks in the summer if you worked in the area. Might appeal to retirees.

It was a nice meal, did not like the fact that 20 percent gratuity was automatically added to the check as it was a fixed menu. It made the overall evening the cost of a weekend in Manhattan… Won’t be returning.

Moshulu was nearly empty at 5:30 on a Tuesday. Service was fast, and food came out quickly as requested (we were in a hurry). Broiled swordfish with beef short rib was very good, with a modest sized portion. Fried chicken was crispy and delicious, with a generous portion. The restaurant is first rate although pricey. Nice view of the river. We avoided the $17 parking fee by parking on the main boulevard.

The food was amazing, and the environment really set it off. Only thing was, there was a guy video chatting his entire meal with someone. But other than that it was a perfect meal, and with the surprise desert made it even better. I would definitely go back again.

My daughter wanted to go out for her birthday dinner, we always end up a your typical chain restaurant but this was her 20th birthday and I decided to change it up so I made Sunday brunch reservations to the Moshulu and did not tell her where we were going and was it an awesome surprise. The last time I stepped foot on this ship was in 1975 with my grandmother and I still remember it today. Needless to say I don't believe my daughter will forget our Sunday brunch plus I hope she will remember it for years to come (she has mentioned this is where she wants her 21st) The atmosphere was very festive (December) and our waiter (Dave) was outstanding. I have already made plans to come back with friends for New Years Eve

The ambience of the Moshulu was excellent and ideal for a special occasion such as taking out someone special or for a special occasion. The service was a little slow from the arrival desk but the bar was nicely welcoming and the bar staff were very friendly. Our waitress was very attentive!
The moonlit night shining on the Bay played very well with our occasion and our seating was perfect, being at the rear end of the ship.
The wine was expensive but good although the wine list was rather limited, and the bottle requested was unavailable.
The food was delicious although again certain dishes were not available at our seating time which was a bit frustrating.
The noise level was acceptable , although certain parties appeared to want the ship to here their life stories! That was not welcome. perhaps better spacing might have been desirable on a largely quiet evening on board.
Better attention to client needs rather than waiting staff sections would be more welcoming for a restaurant of this caliber.
Overall a very nice venue that made for an expensive but fun evening.

Atmosphere was great. We knew it would be expensive as we looked at the menu beforehand. But what we didn't expect was food that was way too salty. All four of us ordered different items and each thing was EXTREMELY OVER SALTED. Huge disappointment on top of the $17 we had to pay to park. One time thing for us. Certainly won't take the chance of returning.

This was an great experience - I had never dined here and I was impressed by the level of service. The atmosphere also makes for a unique dining experience.

I dined on Thanksgiving day, so there was a prefixe menu - all of the people in my party really enjoyed their meal. I wish I had ordered something besides the turkey dinner, it was really bland. My friend ordered the crab-cake and it was very flavorful, we each had a different first course, and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. The wine selection is exceptional, we had a Malbec, a Cabernet, and a Riesling and everyone seemed to enjoy the experience.

I would like to go back to experience their menu at some point.

Went for their Thanksgiving special meal. Loved that there were many options to choose from for the appetizer and main entree. Great dessert duo after the main course. Location was really great on the waterfront. Would love to go back in another season so that we could dine on the top deck which was closed for this time of year.

Sadly we did not have a great experience... while the restaurant was lovely, the goof did not match our expectations! My thanksgiving dinner (and my sister in laws) was cold! My 2 young great nieces got one small fish of kaychup to share and we waited for a long time between courses. The manager did the right thing and took 2 dinners off of the bill. I must say that good would have been good if it were the proper temperature so it was very disappointing!
