Moshulu Ratings and Reviews
My daughter wanted to go out for her birthday dinner, we always end up a your typical chain restaurant but this was her 20th birthday and I decided to change it up so I made Sunday brunch reservations to the Moshulu and did not tell her where we were going and was it an awesome surprise. The last time I stepped foot on this ship was in 1975 with my grandmother and I still remember it today. Needless to say I don't believe my daughter will forget our Sunday brunch plus I hope she will remember it for years to come (she has mentioned this is where she wants her 21st) The atmosphere was very festive (December) and our waiter (Dave) was outstanding. I have already made plans to come back with friends for New Years Eve
The ambience of the Moshulu was excellent and ideal for a special occasion such as taking out someone special or for a special occasion. The service was a little slow from the arrival desk but the bar was nicely welcoming and the bar staff were very friendly. Our waitress was very attentive!
The moonlit night shining on the Bay played very well with our occasion and our seating was perfect, being at the rear end of the ship.
The wine was expensive but good although the wine list was rather limited, and the bottle requested was unavailable.
The food was delicious although again certain dishes were not available at our seating time which was a bit frustrating.
The noise level was acceptable , although certain parties appeared to want the ship to here their life stories! That was not welcome. perhaps better spacing might have been desirable on a largely quiet evening on board.
Better attention to client needs rather than waiting staff sections would be more welcoming for a restaurant of this caliber.
Overall a very nice venue that made for an expensive but fun evening.
Atmosphere was great. We knew it would be expensive as we looked at the menu beforehand. But what we didn't expect was food that was way too salty. All four of us ordered different items and each thing was EXTREMELY OVER SALTED. Huge disappointment on top of the $17 we had to pay to park. One time thing for us. Certainly won't take the chance of returning.
Went for their Thanksgiving special meal. Loved that there were many options to choose from for the appetizer and main entree. Great dessert duo after the main course. Location was really great on the waterfront. Would love to go back in another season so that we could dine on the top deck which was closed for this time of year.
This was an great experience - I had never dined here and I was impressed by the level of service. The atmosphere also makes for a unique dining experience.
I dined on Thanksgiving day, so there was a prefixe menu - all of the people in my party really enjoyed their meal. I wish I had ordered something besides the turkey dinner, it was really bland. My friend ordered the crab-cake and it was very flavorful, we each had a different first course, and everyone seemed to enjoy their meals. The wine selection is exceptional, we had a Malbec, a Cabernet, and a Riesling and everyone seemed to enjoy the experience.
I would like to go back to experience their menu at some point.
Sadly we did not have a great experience... while the restaurant was lovely, the goof did not match our expectations! My thanksgiving dinner (and my sister in laws) was cold! My 2 young great nieces got one small fish of kaychup to share and we waited for a long time between courses. The manager did the right thing and took 2 dinners off of the bill. I must say that good would have been good if it were the proper temperature so it was very disappointing!
Such a beautiful place! The staff are very helpful and professional. The food is delicious!! And the View of the water out the window makes you feel like you’re on a cruise. My husband and I dined here for our 15 year anniversary it was a very special occasion they even went above and beyond to make special night even more special .
The ambiance is lovely. Had a loudmouth at the next table who was very annoying but that is not the restaurant’s fault. The crab cake entree was very good. The blackened swordfish was over cooked. Service is certainly relaxed. I would try Moshulu again hoping the dinner matches the lovely setting next time.
We had a fantastic evening here celebrating an engagement! The food was phenomenal and the atmosphere/view was exceptional. I definitely want to come back to try their Sunday brunch! The only complaint we had was that the service was a little spotty. There was actually a period of time where we thought we were going to be served out appetizers before we got our drinks! Luckily, that did not happen and from there on out, the rest of the dining and serving experience was wonderful. We would surely recommend and can't wait to go back there ourselves!
We were there to celebrate a birthday and our wait staff was very nice , but felt we were cleared quickly and never lingered . The music was very loud to start off with and not what we were expecting on board this vessel. The food was good , but not as exceptional as it could have been. The best part of the dinner was the dessert. I'm not sure we would return.
