We were 10 minutes late for our reservation and there was no problem and everyone was gracious and polite. Service was excellent!! No one rushed us out. We were able to visit with our friends and relax,!
We eat at Mosaic probably monthly and I regularly get the Siraca Honey Chicken Mac and Cheese. It’s been delicious almost every time. The old fashions and Poke bowls are worth the visit. Definitely recommend Mosaic to others.
Wonderful birthday lunch and we were treated to a fantastic dessert!!
Cordial staff - excellent vodka Gibson. Good food promptly served. We were not licked out even though we were the last customers to leave.
We love eating at your restaurant. We will visit again.
Always great! Service is good and helpful with menu!
We tried it for brunch. Great decor and nice wait staff but the food was lacking. The pancakes were enormous - two would have been more than enough - and they were undercooked, mushy. The French toast was better although way too much to eat for one person. The coffee was fine but I was disappointed there was no latte or cappuccino. We won’t go there for brunch again but we will give dinner a try.
Excellent service and ambiance. The food was not good or flavorful. Will not return.
We had a nice early dinner and the food was very good. The chef served the dish that we shared as a main course on two different plates, which we appreciated very much. Great presentation and tasty! Seating in the booth was uncomfortable though, as there was a lot of distance to the back of the bench and my feet didn't reach the floor (I'm 5'6" for reference). This was partially my fault, since they showed us to a table initially but I requested the more comfy-looking booth. Ha-ha. Would recommend a table to those on the medium or shorter side. :)
Our service was wonderful and the food was delicious.
Disappointed, nothing on menu is labeled gluten free. When asked, was told I could have a salad. No gluten free bread options or option to have something made gluten free. Certainly wish I could eat gluten. I will go to hutch or Sedona in future. Both places go out of way for those with gluten issues.
This is the perfect spot to have a nice lunch with girlfriends!
I was extremely disappointed in my dinner; requested medium rare salmon and it was served well done. Didn't send it back as my other companions dove into their dinners with delight. Wasn't impressed with the seasonal vegetables that came with the dish either, they were overwhelming tart and sour. My check was not calculated correctly either, as I did not have one of the appetizers, but yet I was charged a 1/4 of the price and I carefully added tip, etc. to be an even number and my credit card was overcharged. (my fault, should have kept a copy of the receipt.) I would recommend Mosaic for brunch and will possibly give them another try in the near future.
Waited until the last minute to make Valentine's weekend dinner reservations, and probably struck out at about 20 restaurants before finally scoring at Mosaic. My poor planning worked out well as we would not have found this neighborhood gem otherwise.
Mosaic has a nice neighborhood atmosphere. Although a limited menu, the food was good with a good presentation. Order-takers were not necessarily the food servers. This caused some confusion when wrong order was brought to the table. It was explained that the server was on his first day. Overall, I still think it deserves another chance.
Friendly wait staff. Good food. Enjoyed a great pre-concert meal
Liked the ambience and service. Disappointed in the food this time. Have enjoyed food in the past. The chicken I had added to the Kale Farro Salad was not appetizing - should have listed somewhere that the chicken is a tasteless cold cutlet and not grilled. Painful to pay $20 for a salad that was not very good.
Went for Valentine’s day and those oysters Rockefeller was superb! I ate them all before the waiter came back to check on us because they were so good. Our server was attentive made sure it was an enjoyable evening. Now I want to go back to see their regular menu items!!
The service was first class from the bar to the table. The food came out over cooked and slightly cold, but they owned up to it immediately and comped the meal. per the chef, it was unacceptable. Because of this, we will certainly be back. Thats how to run a restaurant!
Neat eclectic vibe. Food was amazing. Attentive service.
I normally like Mosaic but I didn’t like how it was a closed menu for Valentine’s Day. It was not very compatible for people with dietary issues.
We'll definitely be back! Our large group was accommodated with ease and grace. Wonderful service.
We had a lovely dinner at Mosiacs and I can honestly say, over the years I have been going to Mosiacs, my meals has always been superior and the service perfect. I highly recommend this delightful restaurant to anyone.
6 of us dined and everyone enjoyed their dinner. They were flexible about substitutions. Service was good.
I love Mosaic! Its such a cozy, convenient location with great ambiance. I've never been disappointed with my food choice. Everything comes out hot, fresh and cooked just right. I've been a customer for years, back 8n the day when they only had sandwiches and salads. So glad they made the change to a full service restaurant and catering business. If you go, you wont be disappointed, I promise!
Always delicious and always wonderful service. A great place to go for lunch or dinner!!
Our waiter, Travis, explained the specials for the evening, answered our questions, and offered a drink sample before we made our drink decision. The food was fresh and delicious as always. The atmosphere was quiet and inviting.
Always a great experience!! Everything was delicious!!
A delightful little restaurant with wonderful food and service.
Excellent dinner! We started with the fried pickles that came with three dipping sauces. These were perfectly done and hot from the fryer. I had the beet and goat cheese salad with a crab cake, and my son had the honey chicken with Mac and cheese. Both were so good...it may be difficult to venture away from those. For dessert we had the ooey-gooey butter cake with salted caramel gelato. Perfect! Our waitress was helpful and attentive.
The only comment was it was just too much food for one person. The salad served was enough for three instead of one. Being over-served can ruin an appetite just as much as mediocre food.
excellent restaurant for lunch but very noisy. the menu offers many choices.
Party of 5-noise level was so high we could hardly hear conversation across the table. Other diners stated their rockfish has too much skin to be enjoyable. All other food was fine. Service was attentive.
Good for a business meal. Be sure to make reservation. My lunch was not good, but feel that was only because I ordered something other than my usual. The Fit Bowl was quite spicy but this feature was not mentioned on the menu. Service was very good.
If someone is looking for a central location with reasonable prices and a decent selection of food, I would say Mosaic is a good choice.
Lovely restaurant offering a varied menu. Nice outside dining area. Service always very good as is the food.
We chose Mosaic as a pre-theater place for dinner. We had been there for lunch many times, but never for dinner. Our entrees were delicious and included healthy choices and fresh veggies. Wines were also excellent and generous. Great location if you are headed into Richmond for an event.
Fodd was excellent as always. Wanted to get salad from lunch menu; however it wasn't available for dinner. It's a salad! I don't understand why it wasn't available...
We had a wonderful Friday evening here. Our waitress, Sarah, was exceptional! The food was very good and plenty for leftovers. Good value for the money and a nice night out. Our bill for a bottle of wine (medium price), appetizer, two entrees and two desserts was just under $100.
Mosaic was an incredible blend of cozy city cafe and upscale dining all at a reasonable cost. From the pimento cheese appetizer to the braised short rib every new bite led us deeper down the blissful culinary experience. Would definitely recommend and will take out of town visitors as a must !
