Easter and family
This is one of my favorite restaurants. The service is good and the food is great. Easter Sunday felt a little understaffed but the sweet little hostess really made up for it. She constantly checked on us to make sure everything was okay. My cousin and I were seated at the family table with family of seven. It was a wonderful afternoon.
What a wonderful experience on Easter at Mosaic. We had a last minute request to add a person to the reservation which the restaurant handled with ease. Food and Service were First Class.
Great food, great atmosphere and an exceptional server. She gave us recommendations and everything was delicious!
I love this place. The staff are very accommodating and friendly. Food came out quickly and was amazing.
Great place for friends to gather and re-connect. We sat at out table for nearly an hour catching up before even ordering. They checked on us but in no way did they become inpatient or antsy for us to order.
Will definitely refer and go back.
A wonderful atmosphere, great service. A very interesting menu. The sriracha fried chicken was excellent. The lobster roll was okay. The dessert was excellent, strawberry shortcake. Will definitely be back!
Great place for a friend’s birthday celebration! Particularly on half price wine Wednesdays. Fantastic food. Staff was friendly and efficient and extremely understanding as we closed the place down!
Service was exceptional. However, 2 of our 7 entrees were over cooked and lacked proper flavor. Bummed b/c we had heard such great things about Mosaic.
The food was great. The Green Tomato Stack was very good and the papardelle was excellent.
We were celebrating a birthday. Food was really good. Service all around was excellent!
Mosaic is typically awesome but I think they were having some staff issues. I highly recommend them either way it was just super slow. The food was really great.
Very disappointed. Service extremely slow and food average at best. Can not recommend this restaurant, there are way to many other great restaurants around.
Beautiful setting, the most comfortable couch like sitting area for my mom & I to sit and still have a view of the NCAA game. Absolutely loved the glass fixtures & decor, it was elegant but comfortable for a jeans evening out. The food was fantastic - we inhaled these insane scalloped potatoes infused with rosemary that were to die for, seriously I almost wanted some to go home! The chopped salad with salmon was perfect, the smoked salmon atop vegetables was delicious. Had a yummy bourbon drink & the key lime pie was out of this world, don’t even get me started on the flame toasted meringue perched above the pie. Loved the staff, very kind & they seemed to work together very well checking on one another to make sure no one was overwhelmed. Can’t wait to go back to this casual yet elegantly eclectic Mecca of deliciousness!
The entrees were all excellent and the service was very good too. We were very disappointed with the desserts though. The bred pudding was dry and not warm or hot. Both people in my party thought it should have been served hot with ice cream but there was no ice cream (it wasn't offered either). Another person in my party had the key lime pie and said it had far too much meringue and was not that good compared to other key lime pies.
Fabulous! Lively fun atmosphere great good & comfortable seating
Very good food, service and atmosphere. Went there on a date night with my husband. Will definitely return.
Always reliably good food and service. A go-to favorite.
Wednesday nights are especially good. Check out the specials.
Good food and service, friendly staff, good portion size for the price, and good wine selection. Enjoyable evening out for dinner at Mosaic.
Mosaic has a comfortable atmosphere, great food and our waitress was excellent.
I love the ambience and location and proximity to University of Richmond. The bartender and wait staff are always so friendly and accommodating. The food is delicious and they have the right balance of tried and true and something new.
We had a reservation - it was packed. Took over an hour to get our food even though we ordered immediately. Waitress was clearly in the weeds and must have forgotten to put our order in as people around us who game in after us got served prior to our meal. Disappointing. Most people do not have that kind of time to wait for a lunch.
Very accommodating for our family celebrating a birthday.
Mosaic never fails to please! Delicious food, great variety, and excellent wine choices.
We were 10 minutes late for our reservation and there was no problem and everyone was gracious and polite. Service was excellent!! No one rushed us out. We were able to visit with our friends and relax,!
Good food, good atmosphere, fast service.
We eat at Mosaic probably monthly and I regularly get the Siraca Honey Chicken Mac and Cheese. It’s been delicious almost every time. The old fashions and Poke bowls are worth the visit. Definitely recommend Mosaic to others.
Wonderful birthday lunch and we were treated to a fantastic dessert!!
Cordial staff - excellent vodka Gibson. Good food promptly served. We were not licked out even though we were the last customers to leave.
We love eating at your restaurant. We will visit again.
Always great! Service is good and helpful with menu!
We tried it for brunch. Great decor and nice wait staff but the food was lacking. The pancakes were enormous - two would have been more than enough - and they were undercooked, mushy. The French toast was better although way too much to eat for one person. The coffee was fine but I was disappointed there was no latte or cappuccino. We won’t go there for brunch again but we will give dinner a try.
Excellent service and ambiance. The food was not good or flavorful. Will not return.
We had a nice early dinner and the food was very good. The chef served the dish that we shared as a main course on two different plates, which we appreciated very much. Great presentation and tasty! Seating in the booth was uncomfortable though, as there was a lot of distance to the back of the bench and my feet didn't reach the floor (I'm 5'6" for reference). This was partially my fault, since they showed us to a table initially but I requested the more comfy-looking booth. Ha-ha. Would recommend a table to those on the medium or shorter side. :)
Our service was wonderful and the food was delicious.
Disappointed, nothing on menu is labeled gluten free. When asked, was told I could have a salad. No gluten free bread options or option to have something made gluten free. Certainly wish I could eat gluten. I will go to hutch or Sedona in future. Both places go out of way for those with gluten issues.
This is the perfect spot to have a nice lunch with girlfriends!
I was extremely disappointed in my dinner; requested medium rare salmon and it was served well done. Didn't send it back as my other companions dove into their dinners with delight. Wasn't impressed with the seasonal vegetables that came with the dish either, they were overwhelming tart and sour. My check was not calculated correctly either, as I did not have one of the appetizers, but yet I was charged a 1/4 of the price and I carefully added tip, etc. to be an even number and my credit card was overcharged. (my fault, should have kept a copy of the receipt.) I would recommend Mosaic for brunch and will possibly give them another try in the near future.
Waited until the last minute to make Valentine's weekend dinner reservations, and probably struck out at about 20 restaurants before finally scoring at Mosaic. My poor planning worked out well as we would not have found this neighborhood gem otherwise.
Mosaic has a nice neighborhood atmosphere. Although a limited menu, the food was good with a good presentation. Order-takers were not necessarily the food servers. This caused some confusion when wrong order was brought to the table. It was explained that the server was on his first day. Overall, I still think it deserves another chance.
